torn between enjoying how shocked i was by the first five minutes (and the fun stuff it does for shauna's character) while also being a bit disappointed that a certain character didn't have a deeper meaning for the story.
OK so the second act is being enjoyably batshit from the off.
Also, to the other commentors, kindly fuck off with your homophobia and idiotic "woke trash" dismissal - honestly don't see what was so 'woke' about this episode.
Besides, a decade in, you should know what you're getting with this show.
Desmond looks breathtaking in those sunglasses. So much, that if he was wearing those sunglasses, I would also want him to hit me with his car.
Jack has gotten it all wrong, a lighthouse is an aid to navigation. Jacob has not been watching him all of his life — he's been guiding him.
That idea of when someone dies, someone, somewhere is born.
For the love if shit, people. Without the first 3 episodes we wouldn't have this episode. Without the first 3 episodes this one wouldn't be as impactful. It's storytelling and all part of a larger whole. Stop saying, "finally we're getting somewhere," or "this is what the show should have been from the start." Its a journey. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. Holy shit.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. There's still plenty of meat on that bone. Now you take this home, throw it in a pot, add some broth, a potato. Baby, you got a stew going.
THE BOOST OF SEROTONIN THAT I NEEDED??? HELLO THANK YOU DC UNIVERSE
"i trust you with my life but i dont trust you with my heart" im not crying i just have a giant tree stuck in my eye....
I’m not ready. Not even a little.
tessa thompson come collect your emmy
literally the most boring storyline they ever did on b99. i couldnt care less about baby storylines in any show. why do writers think we need them.
harley and ivy forever <3
i would really love for the others to have their own episodes like mac and dee day (also the idea of an episode just being called 'charlie day' gets me)
this ep was a chaotic gay mess and i loved every second of it
"i don't have a dead kid appropriate song" lmao
One of the best directed episodes. One of the worst written episodes. In a vacuum, this episode would be brilliant. In the context of the wider story, this episode is a disaster.
Drunk Baron determined to try pizza pie was the best part of the episode.
Name a less iconic couple than Jon and Daenerys, I'll wait.
Their romantic storyline is purely fanservice (who asked for this, anyway?). Everything about them seems forced and their scenes are so cringey that it gives me actual physical pain to watch them. Teenagers write better fanfiction on the Internet every day. And to add insult to the injury, Kit and Emilia have the on-screen chemistry of two small rocks placed next to each other. Someone please make this stop.
This show is great. Truly living beyond my expectations, which were huge, considering how much I love the movie. They are KNOCKING IT OUT OF THE PARK!!!!! I've got that "new fave" excitement for each show each week.
jake's hair looks so good.... thanks nbc
eleanor was wonderfully bisexual on this episode and i sign in for her to be even more on subsequent ones. thank you
also, very interesting episode, solved like a normal sitcom/drama but with the typical other-wordly the good place spin, this show really is heading somewhere fantastic and unique
wow can you believe the eagles won because charlie kelly got his leg caught in a bear trap? amazing
Siri, why does God allow suffering?
i love that all that talk about bringing complex female characters to the forefront of the entertainment industry was not empty. conceptually, sharp objects revolves around violence, but it is not imposed on women by men as in big little lies or by a female assassin without considering the gender of her victims as in killing eve. it is imposed on women by women. it is this unique portrayal of generational female violence, both narratively and cinematographically, that makes the show so captivating. amy adams and patricia clarkson are simply magnificent. i love every shot. it's such a pity that we have to wait an entire week for a new episode.
the sloppy writing this season makes you wonder if season 1 was real or just a dream
Of course Super-Talbot went from fun, slightly bonkers and awesome to creepy, full on mad and megalomaniac... I wonder what other clichés they'll have in store for us until the end of the season. Anyway, if half of all those folks turns to dust by then, it will be worth it.
Disappointed they're bringing the love triangle back for drama, it's played out...
This show has such a unique style, I love it. It is just so beautiful, the way the camera moves, the editing, the colors, the unique locations, the music, it's all fantastic and just makes this show the best looking on TV right now.
