Like other DC movies that get bad reviews in general but are pretty decent in reality, I was expecting the same from this movie too but God!!! This movie is awfully executed. Lots of things comes to my mind and I'm gonna list those things without any spoilers.
Overall, this story had the potential, the concept was good, old characters were good, First half of the movie was alright but then second half is absolutely meh. CGI is good but the fights feel baseless because the plot is bad and villains are badly written and those lame comedy dialogues ruins everything.
Dr. Fate and Hawkman were by far the best part of the movie. Without them, I don't think I would've liked this movie at all.
Atom Smasher and Cyclone were alright. That small plot twist with Black Adam's origin was good too. But the rest of the movie falls flat.
Some of the dialogues and choices made by the characters were so poorly written that were beyond critical thinking.
Overall plot of the movie was very forgettable.
There wasn't enough depth shown in the main character itself. After finishing the movie, I didn't like the main character which normally doesn't happen.
Love THE ROCK and how he's so inspiring irl but his acting fell short as a lead character imo compared to the performace put up by Aldis Hodge and Pierce Brosnan.
As someone who loves LOTR, I highly recommend you guys to watch this and I want more!!
I didn't read the novels so I really I didn't know what I was getting into but I absolutely loved what I watched.
This whole movie introduces the world of Dune and politics involved in it. It sets up Timothee Chalamet's character to phase 1 of his life changing path. It also shows glimpes of future wars and Timothee Chalamet's character is at the centre of it all.
The PLOT, ACTING, CHARACTER INTRODUCTION, DEVELOPMENT, THEME, MUSIC AND VISUALS are brilliant. The movie throughout maintains its serious tone.
This movie only scratches the surface of Dune and I love it. I actually can't wait to see what happens next so I have ordered books from amazon lol.
A few brief words to give you guys an idea if you want to get into this show or not....
Basically, a protagonist wants to take revenge on a rich family who may have killed his sister SARA and for framing him for her murder.
5 Episodes in and protagonist does nothing besides giving warning to family in pilot, all he does is plays scene of her sister dying in his mind in constant loop and making out with the daughter of same rich family. He says he has been planning the revenge for 18 years but we don't see any of his plan in work other than one powerpoint presentation in whole season.
Every character in this series is horny for sex and that has made their relationships complicated and has unnecessarily stretched this story so far that WE STILL DON'T KNOW WHO KILLED SARA at the end of the season.
Also, I have watched this subbed and I don't think most of the cast are very good at acting. 7.5/10 for acting.
