One of the best things I’ve watched on tv in a long while, so hard hitting and real, some quite hard to watch scenes, really connected with this; didn’t want it to end.

@laurenshikari what did you think of season 2?

The worst season so far... it was just a mess.

Was going to give it an 8.5/10 until the last 3 or 4 episodes where it just got stupid... in fact the season as a whole was stupid. How can he possibly just up-sticks and move to England and become a professor at a prestigious university?!?

Where do people in the movies buy those glass containers that were designed solely for imprisoning people? How do they get them delivered without raising suspicions and then have them completely removed in about 30 minutes? Logistically, how do they even GET the stuff into the special bat-cave space that comes complete with electricity and air conditioning?

Anyway.. 6.5/10 for the season. Very disappointed.

@speeddemon I was wondering this as well, transporting one of those glass cages across the Atlantic can't be easy!

The Midwich Cuckoos: Season 1

I had to watch it - it was John Wyndham adaptation
It was always going to be hard with children actors (most of whom did pretty well) Although the scariest thing with the children really was the haircut that one had...
But at the end of it, despite the music, it was shallow. I didn't build any emotional attachment to the characters, it was unengaging and felt like a group of actors just going through the motions

Like so many great writers, getting Wyndham on screen seems to such a challenge :-(

@peteo oh my god, I'm so glad you mentioned that haircut! Right from the beginning I was like "WHAT is going on with her hair?" and I kept sending screenshots to my hairdresser mum, to ask if she thought it was a wig, which she agreed she thought it was. I don't get why the girl had to have such big hair, it's a really weird plot point.

@kbree I've just finished the last episode, and I wanna know where Wheezie was when all that shit was going down on the boat! I was really hoping that Wheezie would help the Pogues and go with them, now she's stuck with that awful family of hers. And poor Sarah, she is for sure going to need some serious therapy after her dad AND her brother tried to kill her!

I have to write, this season is Bodyguard/Phantom of the Opera ( the red rose is there as well) and all the films that I saw regarding kidnapping mashed into one. I can, not mention as well that this season and the one before it the focus is on sex and naked men and women. Acting is poor as long as you have a nice body you are in the series. Weirdly enough that there is the same actress in both seasons and she has a different role ( in season 2). I thought that this is nonsense.

@paulvincent83 I'd forgotten how much this made me chuckle. Almost as much as my mum asking me if my vegan carer eats fish and eggs! I thought everyone learnt what an anthology was at school when they're in year 10 or 11 and have those anthology books for English, but that could just be a UK thing.

@cb12 That's what an anthology series is; a series that has a different story each episode or season, and has different characters each time, often played by the same cast. Just look at American Horror Story, they're on season 10 now, and have different characters each season, usually played by the same cast!
