okay, john basically implying that he'd rather have sherlock dead instead of marry (that was the only way for him to keep his vow in those circumstances, wasn't it?) and then throwing him out of his life is pretty shitty. but also unquestionably human. he's flawed, he's grieving, he needs to blame someone and on top of that he's feeling guilty about cheating/considering to cheat. that part, the whole infidelity side story, i found pretty odd, actually. i wish they would have shown us that john and marry' marriage was on the rocks, or something less dramatic, a couple of exhaustion induced arguments and maybe some post-tension in the aftermath of what had happened in the previous season, just something, anything to justify him wanting to at least emotionally (which, in my opinion, is worse than if it was simply carnal) connect with another woman, anything but the obvious fact that he found her attractive and she made the first move. come on. i expect more from this show. otherwise, an enjoyable episode.
Half of the show (the actual Abominable Bride plot) was amazing. Best Sherlock storytelling i've ever experienced. Superb atmosphere. The other half was rubbish. Sherlock on drugs, jumping from the past to the future, not making any sence. Feels like they had to fill up 90 minutes with Sherlock stuff, but couldn't manage to pull it off with the original plot. 7/10 for the overall result, which is a pity since at times it reached that rare 11/10 masterpiece level.
And as predicted in another comment the merchandise is out now (well they will take your money now and get it to you for June 2020!!!) ... guess what is top of the list ... Baby Yoda, yours for £27. Pretty much the only reason they commissioned the show.
Looks live Steve and me are the only ones who think it get more and more boring with each episode. Don‘t get me wrong, I love Star Wars and even traveled halfway around the world only to see Galaxy‘s Edge, but this is not what I imagined a Mandalorian-Show would be like.
What I think annoys me pretty much is the family-friendlyness of it all. I‘m guessing it would have been way better, if they took a more gritty approach with inspiration from Daredevil, The Boys or even Tarantino.
quality get worst and worst every episode. looks like that they start a new plot for the episode and finish it in the same 30 min episode. there is no why he is there, why go there, etc. the same clitche story of bad guy trying to kill mandalorian and get killed since episode 1.
no amount of baby yoda help the terrible writing.
My name is Barry Allen and I am the saddest man alive. To the outside world, I am an ordinary Emo Allen, but secretly with the help of my old friend Cisco at wherever he is staying, I make sure to disappointeveyone and wear a wig. In an attempt to stop the sadness in me, I accidentally met my past self, and I saw myself without a sad-wig. But I won't let that happen, I'm gonna do everything in my power to pit him a wig, and I'm the only one sad enough to do it. I am the Sad!
Wow even a fun cross over ep had to shove awful James x Kara down my throat. Please stop. There is zero chemistry and honestly he's such a weak actor compared to Melissa. It's embarrassing.
I would have given this episode a 10, if they weren't constantly forcing Kara and James down our throats. Even that goodbye scene between Kara and Barry, had to be about James. Enough already. Even The Flash has more chemistry with her. Also, I love Silver Banshee, yet I was hoping for more action from her.
Siobhan Smythe was a great character and opponent for Kara Danvers... right up until this episode. She really isn't better than Red Tornado
-1 for forcing Kara/James down my throat for the thousandth time. I could have easily given this episode a perfect ten because I loved seeing Supergirl and The Flash working together to save National City. Plus seeing Silver Banshee AND Livewire working together, I was in heaven. That was until Barry had to start shipping them too. Why can't writers realize that a superhero, especially a FEMALE, can still be a hero without having to have a significant other? I honestly hope Kara's kiss kills him that's how much I hate this pairing. Of course it won't and it'll make Kara realize she loves James even more than ever before. GAG ME WITH A SPOON!
Can they just put Barry and Kara together in a long distant relationship ? Make a cute couple. James is just dull and useless lol. James being all jealous Barry and Kara having superpowers in common or any talk about Kara and James is the weak point.
Now even Cat is giving advice to Kara about James ? Someone give me a barf bag lol. Forcing them on us is why the show wasn't even renewed yet and why ratings can be better.
Good action in this one but too much James and Kara talk in between action. You have the Flash in it. Shut up with all the unnecessary James and Kara talk. Even Barry gives Kara love advice in the end about James....
This could have been better if it wasn't all about how James and Kara should be together. And a fireman saved Kara and defeated the bad guys in a Supergirl and Flash episode ?
When you have David Hardwood killing it as Hank; I don't even see they took a break with his character just to give us more James. The wrong guy left.
This show has been pretty trashy from the get go.
But this "let's not kill the main antagonist for some arbitrary reason" seems to be the only thing keeping this show running and is particularly annoying and bad in this episode.
Not to forget, let's uncover another lie of Valentine to fire up the love triangle...what a shocker!
Oh, with shocker I meant yawn...
What kind of stupid ending is this??? What a waste of 12 hours of my life.
