Why didn't they keep Alicia Silverstone :(
I miss her face deeply
This is a quite simple tale that deeply and indirectly delves into how humans are prone to denial when in the face of staggering pain. Diane was a woman who rode her car against the traffic tide, hitting an oncoming car, killing herself, all the passengers in the met vehicle and a slew of her children. As the father struggles with the deaths, the news of Diane's intoxication are released: alcohol and THC. The documentary starts just half a year after the deaths occurred. To me, what "really happened" isn't the interesting stuff, but the denial is; seeing all of the people talk is the thing. It's the journey, not the goal, whatever that would be. Interesting but not well edited; could have been better if the reins were held tighter.
Absolutely delightful, visually stunning film. Demented, twisted, confusing. I'd describe it as "Thoroughbreds" meets "Neon Demon". Impressive debut from writer/director Mitzi Peirone - I look forward to her career!
Movie made by Smallville fan, right? Three actors from there.
My fave gothic romance story and love the soundtrack too. "This not a ghost story, this is a love story".
And another movie with a shit ending
Despite it being visually and conceptually stunning, the film turned out to be extremely slow and actionless for my taste.
Many people think that the aforementioned positive qualities outweight the negative, but personally, I think that narrative must prevail over visuals, soundtracks, effects or symbolisms.
One of the best police procedurals ever made. Solid acting, wonderful storytelling, very creative, some of the best music ever to be on television! I agree with many who have commented. I wish this show was never canceled!
Never really understood why this show was cancelled..always missed.
Despite being a very long movie Avatar: The Way of the Water at times is a superior sequel. That is more beautiful to look at “especially in IMAX 3D.” With some better action and adventure.
The movie might even manage to make the Avatar haters fans. Even if James Cameron doesn’t have something so good on his hands. That he can drag it out to seven movies.
I soooo love it how the trailer completely ignores that the all-female Ghostbusters movie ever existed. Like it never happened, like it was only a bad dream.
EDIT:
Just watched it. I can't say the movie was spectacular, but it was darn spectacular to me.
I believe the movie paid all due respects to the Ghostbusters and that it was carefully made not to disappoint. It worked!
And yes, I'm high on nostalgia while typing it.
P.S. Anyone else got emotional when Ecto-1 first sounded the sirens?
I laugh every time is see this show. And I am watching it again for the (I lost the count) time. You become a part of that friends, you are one of them and you feel what they feel, quoting what they're saying. You even wish things went differently every time that something happens between Ross and Rachel. And by all that, every single time I laugh like an idiot at every episode. You got to love this series, forever.
You seriously couldn't script this shit.
Notice whenever someone refers to Oklahoma it's always "Bumfuck Oklahoma".
Wtf did I just watch.... on a side note, she definitely did that shit
I'm not entirely sure how to rate it. As a film, in its artfulness, it was nice, but that is visually speaking. I would give a shout out for people with similar issues as me, whatever those might be, but I don't do too well with films in which the main characters are utterly disbelieved and declared insane by their surroundings as it happens here rather soon.
And whatever universe she's living in, it is terrible. How can she only be surrounded by so many uncaring, heartless characters? The only good person was evidently her co-worker, everyone else was actually just really overwhelmed/scared/cold-hearted. Which hurt to see. And they are being so while being utterly passive. It's like they're villains toward the main character, but not written as villains. Which makes it harder to dislike them, or harder to argue why they are bad people. So even the viewer gets this sense of manipulation or that you're the one not right in the head, as the majority seems to have such clear and different views from you.
I realise my comment this time around lacks eloquence, but I hope it gets across what I meant to express.
The Boy II (AKA -How Desperate Katie Holmes is for a Role) is a think piece, as in 'I think it's a piece of garbage'.
Cliché, illogical and replete with WTFs... If you're not even going to try to make a good movie, what even is the point?
Inception can suck it
what did that talking cat do ..
As an adaptation of King's work, this is pretty decent. It sticks close to many of the book's plot points, and its only until the end when it seems to veer off course a little. It perhaps overdoes the Shining references a little too much, and it could have been tighter, but if you're a fan of the books (which I am), there is still a lot to enjoy. I'm only giving it a 7 because it lacked coherency at times, and because it dragged occasionally. But don't let that put you off, as there are times when the film (and Ferguson especially) shine!
Best Disney live-action remake so far! Everything about this was perfect.
This episode did at the very least properly convey one thing — the "duration to arrival" for the Bradbury Heavy mission was just over 230 days and we were made to endure every painfully boring minute of that.
Easter eggs this episode include:
Bradbury Heavy — a tribute to the highly acclaimed science fiction writer and author of The Martian Chronicles, Ray Bradbury.
Whipple Aeronautics — a reference to Wallace V. Whipple from the TOS episode The Brain Center at Whipple's.
T.I.N.A. — that's Talky Tina of course from Living Doll. "My name is Talky Tina...and you'd better be nice to me!"
I keep waiting for more, since the last episode really felt somewhat like an anti-ending..! Loved the show!
Yes, classic but oh my... Bad acting galore and just not scary. After someone said something I usually felt like asking, what? That made no sense. So I watched it because it is a classic but glad it is over.
I prefer the remake of this film to be honest. Although I do enjoy this classic version too. The acting seems somewhat better in the remake and obviously so do the effects.
Spencer Breslin was the KID that Disney would call on for their comedy roles. He's just great! This film is full of heart and makes you realise that we're all a kid at heart,
Completely in love with American Horror Story, again! My favourite show to date.
