I am leaving this show. not because it's bad. I am uncomfortable with it.
It's not perfect, and I don't like the erasure of certain characters backstories, but the sets were beyond gorgeous and it is clearly a Resident Evil movie for fans.
Cujo.
Beethoven.
Marley.
That dog with a purpose.
If there is one thing Hollywood has taught us, it's this. You can't trust dogs!
They will tear out your throat, tear your house apart, or tear out your heart! No substitutes for cats (no matter how many times they demolish your rental deposit by clawing the wallpaper to pieces), dogs are truly dreadful.* As is proved with this movie, a reworking of Night of the Living Dead or Assault on Precinct 13, the dogs here lay siege to a family holed up indoors, and prove once again how awful they are. The film's not bad - it's not a dog of a movie - but you have seen better.
I am so hyped for this
Coincidence that Alexander Skarsgård — aka. Eric Northman — stars in this movie? I think not!
The people who are hating on this don't understand it's parody, right? Cause it's so obviously ridiculous from the beginning, I almost choked laughing a couple of times.
Angry narcissist wins dubious morality contest. Trash.
Imagine yourself doing something so mundane that no one pays attention to. Just to one day be the reason some get to live. These divers are quite something. And props to the Thai government for accepting international help and admit they don't have enough expertise. I know if this had happened in some other countries, the kids wouldn't have had a chance.
This is the most beautifull act of worldwide love i've ever seen. It is moving to see that that there is such beauty in this world!
Wow. Really enjoying this
Great cast, awesome settings, fantastic characters. Just loving it.
Hilarious, tear-inducing, even horrifying. This is what they mean when they say "must watch tv".
Solid horror piece, both psychological and body. Antosca's signature shines through from the get go. It does draw back a lot from Channel Zero, but with the Netflix buck giving it extra production value. Very strong in both cinematography and narrative departments. Might expect just another revenge tale, but the ruthlessness and drive of the characters made it exceed expectations.
I’ve seen two episodes now and I’ve got to ask: what’s the point of watching this?
There’s nothing inherently satisfying about the show itself.
Just putting a twist on existing lore and calling it a day isn’t enough to hold my attention for 30 mimutes, nor any sane person, I imagine.
Are people only watching this because it sets up future stuff?
Why would anyone watch something that’s just set-up?
Projects are always supposed to function as an isolated piece of art, and not just as a piece of a larger machine.
This show is so empty, it’s the kind of format that lends itself for short 4 minute videos on Youtube.
But a feature series? Come on.
Edit: alright so there is an attempt to tie the loose ends together in the final episode, but still, it kinda fails to justify its existence.
One of our first glimpses into what is truly in Dean's heart...his never ending dream for his family to be whole and to lead a normal life.
This is the first episode of the series to make me cry. I have a feeling there are going to be a lot more, but this one sticks out in how heartbreaking it is. Good stuff.
Firstly, I love period dramas and I think Jodie Turner-Smith is an amazing beautiful actor. However, I feel her casting in the role of Ann doesn't work. I know some people many think this statement is wrong. However I feel staying true to the factual appearance of a historic person is important. This in my opinion applies to all famous and important historic persons.
Any second season suffer from the 'lack' of novelty one way or another, i expected that. Overall this second season has some good animation. I am disappointed by two things:
1. Only 8 episodes. After the success of the first season Netflix proceed like this. Well, nothing new on this side.
2. 2 episodes out of 8 are based on the classic 'robot go crazy for no reason'. It's really old, especially without any reasonable trigger.
Overall it is definitely worth watching considering it takes the time of a movie.
There were some great episodes, but most of them were too male-gazey.
I watched a fantastic video that focused more on the murderer Chris Watts’ abysmal turn in the interrogation. It focuses a lot less on Shanann (which is a good thing because the documentary throwing mean comments towards her did nothing for the story). Check out JCS Criminal Psychology Chris Watts for a better analysis if you are interested in the case.
diego boneta looks like a mixture of logan and jake paul, and its horribly distracting. the paul brothers ruin everything haha
Now I understand the title. THUG LIFE.
really good! not expecting the end!
Other reviewers have said it is the best "found footage" film they have seen, I would go beyond that and say it's the best and scariest horror film I have ever seen, by far.
I definitely recommend this, if you are looking for a terrifying film then this will not disappoint.
This was the best film I've seen in a long time.
This is The Exorcist level stuff.
1 cheap scare but it was placed perfectly.
Story is very deep... Very isn't a strong enough word here.
The camera and editing work was top notch!
And the sound was perfect! This movie doesn't try to scare you with music... but it does.
This isn't a movie to casually watch with distractions.
Get good and baked and sit alone in the dark and get your pants scared off you!
Good acting matched with an interesting concept. It keeps you engaged, has enough tension and plot twists. Watched the whole first season in two sessions, I think that says enough.
Just got to episode 3 and it kept me hooked so far. If you like a show with drama, romance and crime give this one a try.
Why didn't they keep Alicia Silverstone :(
I miss her face deeply
This is a quite simple tale that deeply and indirectly delves into how humans are prone to denial when in the face of staggering pain. Diane was a woman who rode her car against the traffic tide, hitting an oncoming car, killing herself, all the passengers in the met vehicle and a slew of her children. As the father struggles with the deaths, the news of Diane's intoxication are released: alcohol and THC. The documentary starts just half a year after the deaths occurred. To me, what "really happened" isn't the interesting stuff, but the denial is; seeing all of the people talk is the thing. It's the journey, not the goal, whatever that would be. Interesting but not well edited; could have been better if the reins were held tighter.
