I love good romantic comedies but I've come to the conclusion that they have forgotten how to write them. This film was crass, vacuous and devoid of romance (by any of it's definitions). Despite the potential of casting, this didn't work for me. I give this a 3 (bad) out of 10. Sorry Netflix, you blew it. [Romantic? Comedy? nah!]

@nancy-l-draper I have a little bit of trouble seeing eye to eye with you. Would you care to elaborate on how it was "crass, vacuous, and devoid of romance"?
I actually very much enjoyed the more "realistic" approach of romance of two people spending time together and slowly building up their attraction to one another. It's a refreshing alternative to the traditional "Oh I met 1 hour ago you and you're my soulmate, so let's bring up the grandiose declarations of love".
I also can't see how you would argue that this wasn't funny. Me and my group of friends were chuckling throughout the movie, and I genuinely think the movie was very funny, by any kind of standard. So, since you comment on it not being funny, I suppose you enjoy comedies, and I can't help but wonder why do you think that this movie was so far from being funny? What are some comedies that you like, and how is that humor so different from this movie's?
Finally, I don't think that in any case a rating of 3 is fair. It feels to me to be a very emotional rating, since the production is solid: this movie is well made, well-shot, and the acting is stellar. In my book, these qualities put a movie at about 5, and then the story takes care of the rest. So I strongly believe that your rating is very emotional and not very rational, or that you are truly oblivious to really bad movies, in which case I can give a few recommendations of truly horrendous movies, so you can get some perspective of what, at least in my book, deserves sub-5 ratings.
I don't intend to be abrupt or anything, and sorry if any part of my reply seems offensive, I just saw the movie yesterday and really enjoyed it, and I honestly think that your review is unfair. We all have different tastes and preferences, but even then I think that this movies is not worth a rating of 3. :)
Really great show. All the actors have a great acting, and I'm most excited about Ghost and Tommy. Tommy plays PERFECTLY the "white boy from the hood", while trying to keep a Russian accent. Ghost on the other hand is always on point with his acting, talking like a businessman and someone to be reckoned with, all while letting subtle street talk chime in when it's needed. The premise is interesting as is, but the people of the show make it really great. I love how it progresses and changes, the twists, the crossroads that each character has to face. Just an FYI, has lot's of sex in it, I personally didn't mind.

@we5ty78 Tommy tries to talk "gangster talk", like the black people from the hood, but he is still able to maintain an accent. It's pretty hard to do imo, combining two different ways of talking. He is a white American, who talks like a person from a ghetto with a Russian accent.
