Stripped down to its core this is probably the most romantic of all superhero movies. Man and woman immortal and bound together by cosmic fate live through centuries being chased by bad guys, only having each other to protect. But they can't be together or else they become mortal. In order to save his life the woman leaves the man upon learning he won't remember her after waking up from a life threatening injury, which he sustained while protecting her. Many decades he has become Hancock a no-good, booze drinking, alcoholic excuse of a superhero and she is a married housewife with a son. They meet again and the love story that has been going on for thousands of years continues in modern day LA. Now THAT'S original storytelling, Thanks to its unique mythological undertones Hancock is easily one of my top 3 superhero movies of all time.

Honestly, you lost me at "Social Justice".
this movie had a lot going against it before it even released, with people complaining about the lack of racial diversity and historical inaccuracy, which makes no sense considering its a fantasy movie set in a fictional version of Egypt. yes, its by no means an epic blockbuster, but its nowhere near as bad as some people are making it out to be. personally i thought it was good.
A couple days of bliss watching, and a whole year to wait for the next segment. That's frustrating :). I loved the show, hope it lives till the end of the story is told.
This is a classic movie and it's one that everyone should see at least once. Now having said that, I must also admit that this is a hard movie to watch. This movie is heavy on the drama and while that is part of what it so popular, the drama can get old after a while (remember, the movie is almost 4 hours long!) There are amazing parts and it does a great job catching the ups and downs of life and the roles are very well played, but after the first two hours things can start to drag a bit. I like this movie and I even own it, but its just not a movie that you watch for fun or that you really watch very often.
This is EXTREMELY biased. If I didn't know any better I'd probably be rooting for Lula and Dilma all along. But I really liked some of the images in the movie and the story is so fascinating with all the twists. There's much more than what was shown here.
A Black gay friend, a chinese daughter, a black daughter with an Hindi boyfriend, a trans daughter... this is ridiculous. Forced situations for diversity exhibition and show how modern they are.
I want tvshows with good actors, no matter the color and good scripts. I’m done with this shit.
