This is the worst Game Changer finale. The concept and first part were excellent but once everyone knew who was playing, it became boring. Also, Sam has invited some of the most brilliant and hilarious talents in the history of Game Changer, and he ended up with this Ratfish person. He's the worst part of this show and was a total hack. Katie's deserving but Rekha was robbed because that hack had too much power. Anyway, it was a serviceable season and I'm still looking forward for the next one.
As every good thing has an end, we have come to the end of this beautiful series. The guys did an excellent job. It is one of the rare TV series that I watch without interruption and without getting bored. I haven't seen anything better among science fiction. It was an amazing season and the series has barely started. See you in 2025, thank you for your efforts.
The bomb bay doors opened one last time..but it wasn't for the bombs.
An unexpected happy ending from a show that deals with the great WW2!
This season has gone from unexpectedly good (episode 1) to just damn good!
Not sure why some people are so bitter. If you want it to be exactly like the game, go watch the game.
Great writing. Great Action. You don’t have to have played Halo to understand this show. Even my wife loves it.
As of unanswered questions. It’s called a plot or storyline. Let’s see why cortana looks different perhaps later this season? Nothing wrong with leaving us wanting more.
Well that was a fun season finale. D'Arcy has the most standout moment in my opinion. When she finds out Harry is an Alien and this is the big lie that Asta has been keeping from her. She actually acknowledges that this is a big lie and it's very realistic for Asta to lie to her about it. It was extremely satisfying to see this for once even if her completely ignoring the "dinosaur", to assure her friend she gets it is hilariously unrealistic and I mean hilariously as a matter of literal not scale. It got a solid chuckle from me out loud.
There was a lot of revelations for this season finale. Which started from a pretty noteworthy premise of The Greys giving Harry a way off planet leading to Harry needing to decide what to do. The episode is arc'd perfectly ending in a lot of things that we've been hinting at coming to a head and a few things we weren't thinking about to surprise you. The only part of the episode I didn't like was the "Documentary" within the show. A bunch of people talking about being taken or seeing Aliens that connected by to Patience in the end but as a whole I don't think was worth the time.
Can't wait till next season.
Are lighting guys in short supply or something? I can't see shit this episode. :person_shrugging:
Once more the Conners excels at showing aging, grief, and loneliness, and is still funny.
The mood switch song is really the worst i have ever seen on a series
This was one of the best episodes without Rick. The crazy absurdity of Rick and Morty captured without having Rick.
so everything was a continuation of the comic, game, film and at the same time a reboot
Just a perfect pay-off. Can't wait for next season.
This match took my breath away, literally. That’s penalty shot made my anxiety level rose so high, when I watched the match in real time. Such a Wrexham’s way to win. The additional time couldn’t be any longer.
This show just brings me so much joy in a way that no other Star Trek has. I'm glad it's here and I hope we get more seasons.
That’s really tough for the players’ mental and physicality. 9 matches in just one month:scream:. I didn’t realize that when following the result of those matches on twitter. There’re a lot going on in this episode, from Will Ferrell, Anthony Forde’s family situation, an unsung hero Luke Young, to Shaun’s redemption. Despite all the difficulties that Wrexham have to deal with, it’s so good to see people behind them always pushed the team forward with their passion.
PS. I liked the Star Wars references at the end :joy:
Yeah, a lot of shows have done it. I know of three, scrubs, raising hope and 30 Rock, and I loved all of them. It’s always a joy (in my opinion), even though it is robbing us of story-content (which season two has little to offer anyway). But a musical is a different medium and it’s legit to focus on sound and show instead of deep, well written stories. That is no excuse for the rest of the snoozefest of episodes, but episode 9 is great fun and there are some real talents in the show with great voices.
So, even if this was no real Star Trek episode, only a big stage, this was one of the few episodes from season 2 that I actually enjoyed. It was a fun standalone episode, again contrasting hard with the previous one.
And since SNW feels more like Star Trek than anything that was done in the last couple years with the franchise, I trust that they will find the sweet spot in season 3.
I guess the „exploration of strange new worlds“ is taking place not in space, but in how far you can take a Star Trek episode, and how different each week can be. While season 2 mostly failed in telling good stories, they made each episode totally different, which is great. Now hire some good science fiction writers, maybe from the Orville team, a we’re golden.
I absolutely love the way the handled the voice actor change - hilarious! Really liking the new 'british' voice
Amazing episode but please stop using cliff-hangers I beg you... This should have been a double episode.
What's wrong with all the haters here?
I usually dislike musical episodes, but the investment in this episode giving us a glimpse into the crew emotions. I mean, even the theme song was sung!
I still say, best star trek ever. Loving it!
I was very skeptical about a musical episode, but after the fantastic crossover I had my hopes up. And I wasn’t disappointed. It was not the best episode of this season but it was great. I don’t understand the bad ratings - maybe because they [spoiler]stayed in the musical and didn’t go space bunnies[/spolier]? I even started to feel like Jim(s actor) belongs. Unfortunately only one episode left .
This episode will divide the fans, I'm on the side that loved it, it was great! So well done. That theme song!
This made me feel exactly the same way that Those Old Scientists did, absolute joy. Could not be happier with it.
Wow. I might be the only one that liked this... From last week's awesome animated crossover to this week's the point when Spock started singing. I just love how they are trying new things in Trek. Doesn't hurt that I love a good musical.
Time will remember this episode considerably more fondly than the people who are disappointed about it on the day it comes out. Admittedly not everyone likes musicals, and that's fine, but it's a joy to watch Star Trek take exciting chances in storytelling. The episode also includes some valuable callbacks (Callforwards?) to TOS
Probably the best yet. My favourite so far, followed closely by the nursing home episode.
Another really great episode. I was looking forward to the crossover and it was fantastic. And the twodimensional ending
What a great episode this was! I love a crossover but never thought I’d get one with an animated to a live action! Very classic one off episode but definitely wouldn’t mind seeing some of the other crew of the Cerritos come into the Strange New Worlds side!
I feel people forget how campy/humorous Trek could get, especially during the “Those Old Scientists” era (that inside joke was brilliant). We had hallucinations, Tribbles and a few others. Why wouldn’t they do that in a newer series in the same continuity?
This was a pretty effective crossover episode. Jack Quaid's physical comedy worked great given his animated character's mannerisms on Lower Decks, and the interactions between his character and the SNW characters made for some good moments. It showed bits of the Subarcs of the SNW characters, and even had the finding solutions to complex problem part of an old classic TOS episode.
So this episode released early (and also has lead to the rest of the episodes being brought forward a week) and I genuinely could not be happier with it. It's everything I ever wanted it to be and more and will definitely be something I watch over and over again.
I’ve been going through some really hard times lately, and this episode is the first thing in weeks that made me genuinely laugh. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
