Man, I always love the more political episodes of the crown. This was no exception, although nothing beats the Thatcher episodes
For the first time since episode two I feel like I understand what’s going on.
but seriously, this is a fantastic episode. The visuals were absolutely amazing. It’s definitely one of the best I’ve seen on television. However, I still don’t feel a very close connection to the characters, which is why I cannot give a 10/10.
From a European perspective I’m always amazed at how Americans reacted to Bin Laden’s death. It seems more like a football game win than anything else.
As much as this episode is great television, I do find it contradicts the point of “the newsroom” which wants to show how journalism can be different to what it is right now. In this episode however, it does not deliver that. The team of newsnight 2.0 is not “delivering the news” as the information would have broken like 10 minutes later by the president himself. That is not investigative or thought provoking journalism, but the speculative half-baked rumor spreading that we have today
A highly enjoyable no-bullshit action movie. Fast paced, great action, funny one liners without turning to slapstick. I’d love to see Guy Ritchie doing a Bond movie!
I’m surprised to read so many positive reviews about this one.
I really tried, but this movie does not work for me at all. I like some of sparks music and usually I’m all in for the weirdness, but even on my second try I could not get anything out of this movie. Not the music, not the performances. Sorry!
No writer‘s room filled with bored young professionals could fabricate a less inspiring fan-fictionesque script than this one by JK Rowling.
That after credit scene about the trash goobler was glorious. All in all a really good episode
Honestly, this feels like the first episode of season 3 that I actually enjoyed. No unnecessary subplots and the way history is woven into the plot seems to work for the first time in this season
That eulogy was perfect. Amazing writing, I love it
Liked the ending but all in all I didn’t love season 2. It often dragged. Only Lory‘s and Candy’s storyline were actually interesting
I love this show so much. It’s unbelievably well written.
