I don't get people complaining about Dion being "annoying." He's an 8 year old child, for god's sake. What were you expecting? Of course he's going to react the way any normal child would react when faced with scary or unusual circumstances. If you can't comprehend this simple fact, then this show is not for you. Also, don't ever have children, please.
As for the show, I loved it. I loved that, while one can say that it is a "superhero show," the main protagonist of the story is Dion's relationship with his mom. Alisha Wainwright was absolutely FANTASTIC and Ja'Siah was great for being such a young actor. Their dynamic felt so natural, it was a joy to watch their scenes together.
I came for the superhero bits, and I stayed for the compelling story and the beautiful bond between a mother and her child.

@karadanvers I agree people are expecting an 8 year old to act like a 21 year old. Its almost like they never had a childhood themselves and cant remember what they were like.
Very disappointing show. The drama is so bad, it's melodrama. One would wonder why this kind of TV show gets out, with poor sci-fi, poor drama, poor writing.

Obviously great! But I actually didn’t love their execution of the 2010s sitcom (Modern Family) it was good but there was a lot going on, like the circus part, maybe she should’ve turned it into like a farmer’s market??? If everything turns into the corresponding era, why would the sword base turn into a circus when those are not that common right now? The wanda scenes were great, she totally embodied Claire Dunphy, and I even got Gloria vibes from Agatha but the circus/vision scenes weren’t a great match to the sitcom/era.

Whats that supposed to mean? I think Doug is a breath of fresh air, and always tries to analyze movies to the point that it caters to people on both sides of the fence.
Plus you have to admit, the man has a personality that keeps you invested throughout the review.
