Two episodes in and I find this compelling and better than the Chinese version (in terms of pacing). If you're a scifi fan looking for new ideas and concepts to expand your horizons then this is definitely right up your alley.
Totally underrated show it’s like a mix of Star Trek/stargate/Hercules. So much better than I thought it would be. It still holds up today.
Edit: this was before the season 2 debacle the cast shakeup makes me want to cry already. The chemistry and stories which were season 1 is GONE. I don't even know if I can keep watching. WHY OH WHY did they ruin the show
My favorite animated comedy to date. If you don't like Futurama, you can bite my shiny metal ass.
Two of the worst things combined: cops and media about talking dogs. Feeding children pro-state propaganda while they’re in diapers is pathetic and they didn’t even bother making it interesting. What happened to the Backyardigans? Arthur? No one puts any effort in children’s shows anymore. Disgraceful.
Good old PSX days. It's probably going to suck though.
Great show, great writing, great acting and the funny things in it are really funny. Really love this show, hope they are prepping a second season because this one is awesome.
The people who don't like it...maybe they should not watch it ...in my humble opinion
Not only is Diane Morgan hilarious, shes also totally dreamy... even when dressed as Mandy.
Mandy might not be the most glamorous of ladies, but it doesn’t make Diane Morgan any less gorgeous. Or genius.
season 3 !! season 3 !! season 3 !! pleeeeease!!!
Watching this series in 1080p with DTS audio creates a whole new experience, quite different from the original broadcast and the DVD's. It's like re-discovering it in wonderful ways. After binge watching the first season, I can say the re-mastered version has subtle differences from the DVD's. The cuts are more precise, some scenes are dropped or shortened and the effects look crisp and clear. You can actually read some of the small letter text (hilarious in some cases), and make out the hull lettering in every Federation ship. Hey, I didn't even know the Enterprise had a side hull ID with the name, and a smaller lettering in the nacelles (that one is only there in the first season). If you haven't seen the Blu-ray release, you haven't seen this series at all.
Very enjoyable and quite unexpected too. Hopefully season 2 will come sooner!
Pretty incredible show. Reminds me a lot of Sherlock Holmes. Highly recommended.
This show is absolutely one of the best new shows that I've watched. It's got that Canadian scifi feel to it, but the concept and its execution are fantastic and I hope they get a season 2 because I love the characters and I can't wait to see where they take this show next.
I like that the main role is played by a strong woman of colour, unlike the original typical white male.
And not your typical Hollywood svelte model either.
Production values feel a little lacking, hopefully that will improve beyond the pilot!
Pasterama. Two things are for certain, 1. I love this show, 2. It's going to get cancelled. Enjoy it while it lasts.
This is a very disappointing show. From the outset the premise is fantastic, a journey to Mars! Imagine the thrills and drama involved in such a story! it should be no trouble, right?
Wrong (apparently!) The characters in this production are so overburdened with dramatic personal events and so lacking in the stoic behaviour we recognise in real life astronauts that you rapidly lose interest in them as characters and then lose interest in the whole premise.
No issue is to small in this production that it cannot needlessly be blown into a full on crisis with emotionally unstable characters who couldn't be trusted to sit the right way on a toilet, let alone land on Mars.
I can only assume the reason this crew was sent 'Away' was in the reverent hope they would stay there!
SFX is good though!
It starts out pretty "meh" but slowly progresses into funny going on to be pretty hilarious at times. It's a weird setting for a comedy show, which, I think, takes some time to get used to.
[Initial Impression] Completely and utterly ridiculous and entertaining. Bizarre concept. Great comedic timing. The absurdity is matched by a keen understanding of human behaviour and social constructs, so much so, as to be a commentary on both. Hugh Laurie is the anchor of the show but is surrounded by some brilliant work by the support cast (including some great :flag_gb: talent with American accents). I give this HBO series an 8 (oddly clever) out of 10. [SciFi Comedy]
Not sure why people are so down on this show, I think it's really funny.
Great set, good actors, humourous premise.
This show is brilliant, its dark humor that is presented like it isn't. I can't wait to see where this goes.
They should have invited Jack Black to play Judd.
For an English TV show I was impress by the writing and tension build up during the season. The plot is well knitted and the acting great, I was impressed. Start watching it and you won't be able to stop, this is a great binge. great show!
Pretty good. From the mind of George R.R. Martin (as yet another new book/series, like the Game of Thrones Prequel book just released, instead of actually finishing Game of Thrones!).
"Event Horizon" (or "Cloverfield Paradox") meets "Interstellar".
Do they not vet these people before they go into space? One seriously damaged crew. Quite a good show though. Enjoyed it. Worth a watch.
I hope there is another season and it starts to make sense. Let's tell a good story and not try to be the next lost.
One of the best science fiction shows of the 20th century!
