A true film in every sense of the word: visuals, soundtracks and sound effects, and above all a well built and rich story. Not since the Lord of the Rings trilogy have I been so enthralled. A must-see if you're into science fiction. Cannot wait for part 3...
Why 9 : Because Rabban (Dave Bautista) should have had a real fight for f*** sake :joy:
Animation is correct but the story is a mess. And god damn, the pace of this movie was insane!
They should have take their time to build the story and the emotional moments. You can't enjoy and feel anything.
I saw this film last night and it's been a long time, since The Lord of the Rings I suppose, that I haven't been so gripped by a film. I never read the books but I was lucky enough to discover the 1984 movie.
This new version is artistically, in terms of picture, music and direction, a pure masterpiece.
My advise to all those who will go to see this film is to disconnect from your knowledge and/or your preconceptions. Just sit and watch it as if it was the first time you enter the Dune univers.
Well a Star Wars by Disney!
Good picture with a story that tries to fix broken episodes 7 and 8. If you want to be advertise and have some nostalgia go check it.
Personnaly, I found some scenes entertaining, especially one Marvel-like scene toward the end, but the ending itself is really really poor. Disney should watch Joker or rewatch Rogue One to see that dramatic ending is also great.
