An Incurable Case of Love

Thoroughly enjoyed this one, embracing all its faults and things that would normally make me cringe. It's a cute little show, quick to watch, touching at times, ridiculous at others. Loved the characters, especially the frowning, cool, level headed doctor Tendo.

The Matchmakers

I wish people in Trakt land (and internet in general) would stop hating on things. Before the show even started properly, someone made sure to rate it the lowest from 4 different accounts. How mature, wow. You know dear Hater, I could also make like 10 different accounts to counteract your 1s with 10s, but alas I actually have a life so...

ANYWAY, here's a 10 from me in advance, if anything - Rowoon's beautiful face deserves it, without even taking into consideration the rest (how funny his character is, or how cute and cool the female lead is).

Love Between Fairy and Devil

I was so invested in this show right from the start. The story of Immortals and Moon people pulled me in and would not let go. Visually gorgeous in every way: from scenery, over costumes and make-up, to actors, funny even in the midst of darkness, interesting characters doing the best they can in their respective circumstances and ups and downs - I thoroughly enjoyed the ride throughout the 36 episodes.

Our Beloved Summer

I just loved this one so much.
In a way it reminds me of everything I like about anime: the way it captures our everyday ordinary and makes it shine extraordinarily, from streets and spaces, to people and their own personal worlds.
I loved the characters dearly, they felt like my kindred spirits. I loved the writing, and everything between the lines. Loved the beautiful cinematography and gentleness.
The actors are just so good. They add so much to the overall genuine feeling you get when you watch this drama. It pulls you in and you're in the story, in life with them.
The music is so lovely and so well woven into the scenes. "The Christmas Tree" is a special piece of magic and light in and of itself.
Our Beloved Summer is definitely going on my favorites list, would highly recommend. 10/10

The Package

Loved every second. Genuine, funny, real, raw, touching, familiar, loving, empathizing, exploring, discovering, learning, growing, understanding, unlearning prejudice, living life bravely.

Great acting, lovely scenery, a true jtbc goodness.

Doom at Your Service

Rated this one 10/10 initially, as I was hooked from the very start, and don't I love me some Seo In-guk? I sure do! Having Lee Soo-hyuk and Shin Do-hyun as part of the cast is a huge plus- loved their characters, and to be perfectly honest, I'd love seeing Soo-hyuk's beautiful face even if he were playing a statue. I did not exactly like Kang Tae-oh's character, but I enjoyed his acting, and will surely watch his future dramas too.
Can't really say why my rating changed to 8/10 by the end of the show: perhaps I took a bit too long of a break before watching the last two episodes, but some of the charm was lost for me near the end. Comparing Doom to some other shows I've seen in the meantime could have something to do with it too. Overall, this was a fun watch, though I could have done without some repetitious and unnecessary scenes.

Navillera

Navillera has plenty of unnecessarily long zoomed in scenes, which is why I should have probably given it an 8 or 9, but I loved every second of it, so I'll just rate it 10 nevertheless (pun intended).
I've read other people's comments which basically said it all, so I'll keep mine short: touching and lovely. All actors did a wonderful job portraying these interesting characters. Song Kang is slowly but surely becoming one of my favorite actors. Cherry on top of the cake: he's incredibly handsome and simply beautiful. Can't wait to see what he does next.

I Married an Anti-Fan

I'm sorry, I really wanted to like this because of Chanyeol, but it's simply too bad. Completely ridiculous from start to finish, nothing makes sense, characters are superficial or non-existent (everyone but the main couple is basically just an extra in the movie), no chemistry, as there is no real story leading up to it. Then they try to serve us this sudden and thoroughly unconvincing "love" that makes the least sense in this entire nonsense. It's not actors' fault, they did the best they could with what they were given, and that's the sole reason my rating is 3 instead of 1 or 2. The only genuine and heartwarming part of this movie were in fact "behind the scenes" bloopers shown in credits (which I'm not even sure how I managed to reach).

For anyone wondering about the 2021 Korean version - TV show - that one was actually worth a watch - it's a cute little thing I would recommend for binge watching if you like idol trope.

So I Married an Anti-Fan

To be perfectly honest, this drama could have been better in many aspects. However, what made me love it anyway is great acting and wonderful chemistry between main characters, as well as the rest of the cast (can we talk about how adorable reality director and Noh Do-yoon were?)
Choi Soo-young's acting was especially captivating for me, which is why her emotions and relationships felt so genuine, and I loved it. The cutesy stuff never felt like too much or annoying, which is a relief because I was expecting more cringe scenes.
What I would have really loved seeing before the end, though, is someone covering all those mean and quick-to-judge fangirls in eggs and flour, just for them to get a taste of their own medicine. I can never understand how behaviors such as these could be tolerated in any civilized state, and moreover perceived as okay 'because deserved' or 'because fans are angry / hurt'. What a bunch of self-righteous bullies those girls were.

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha

I liked this drama a lot in so many ways. Rated 7 because the overly cutesy borderline annoying moments / scenes between the main couple which popped up more and more towards the end ruined the honesty and realness of the relationship for me. Over-the-top moments aside, I enjoyed this one quite a bit.

Came back here just to ask: you guysssss - 3rd season WHEN?? We need 3rd season, okay??

Super cute and hilarious. I'm loving it so far!

Ok, so edit after finishing season 1: yes, this drama is cute and hilarious, but it's so much more than that. Here I am jumping through the roof, excited, worried, angry, annoyed, happy and heartbroken, as if all that's happening were happening to me. Changed my rating from 9 to 10 because this one is a genuine gem, a precious darling that's going straight to my favorites.

Second edit after finishing Season 2: I'm even more excited, swooped, annoyed, happy and heartbroken this time. Not sure how this could be possible, but here we are. It's still a 10, and I really hope we get season 3 because otherwise I have no idea what I am to do with all these feelings.
Oh, and p.s. to Yumi: Honey, if you don't want Yu Babi, can you please send him my way? Thanks!

Falling Into Your Smile

Cute little stress-relief drama. :candy: Had me smiling a lot due to cuteness, and laughing out loud a couple of times too. Actors are adorable. Overall: good fun, I'm guessing even more so for gamers. :gem:

*Extra: I watched this on VIKI, where titles are very detailed, so I learned some interesting Chinese sayings and expressions, and quite enjoyed the explained wordplay (fun!)

I loved this show! Great for binge watching if you're late to the party (of impatiently waiting for a new episode each week).

The shooting style is a bit different, unusual for Korean dramas (at least the ones I've seen so far) as it has a documentary / suspension of belief / breaking the fourth wall moments, which may not be to everyone's taste.

The unraveling of the characters' stories was quite fun to witness, but finding out more about them, their thoughts, views of life, love and relationships even more so. I think that's exactly the point here: discovering and sharing characters' inner worlds.

The characters are wonderfully real and layered. Their reactions are so much fun, as are their interactions.

The last episode didn't feel like the end, I guess because the entire show is like an excerpt from life, a collection of moments and thoughts. And life goes on. Things change and flow. Life is life. So anything can happen after 'the end'.

It's Okay to Not Be Okay

I'm completely hypnotized by and in love with this show.
In addition to being visually pleasing, with every detail, from costumes to scenery, carefully taken into consideration, it's also shaking us up on the inside. Its "between the lines" messages, and wonderful acting from the entire cast that delivers so many emotions in their facial expressions alone, are all sublime.
I find myself looking forward to weekends and waiting in anticipation for what is to come. Great job everyone, and much love. <3

Chicago Typewriter

I agree completely with Freya and Nai: Chicago Typewriter is amazing! Loved our three musketeers. They made me laugh and cry and leave all the feels to these precious characters and their story. I would've preferred if villains from modern-day part of narrative were a bit less criminal (or should I say less psychotic), but nevertheless: I loved every second of the show. Good job, everyone!

Flavors of Youth

Pretty sure the language is Japanese, not Chinese...fix the description?
Animation is sooo beautiful. I love seeing food in anime especially. It looks so real, I feel like I can almost smell it.
I love the nostalgia too, taking a peek into other people's lives.

When the Devil Calls Your Name

Just a tip to whoever may read this: if Song Kang's character is Serbian like he says in the drama (or from Montenegro, whatever) his name should be spelled as "Luka", not "Ruka". :D Btw, "ruka" in Serbian means "hand".

Berlin, I Love You

I have no idea why this movie has bad reviews/grades. Perhaps it's because people who watched it and reviewed it had expectations that were completely off... Anyway, I thought "Berlin, I love you" was fantastic. A number of movies inside a movie, or stories within a story. It's like I walked into Berlin and got to spend some time in other people's lives, share their thoughts and imagination for a little while. Their point of view. A piece of life we get to witness. A hope that even when we feel lost, we'll be found again. Life can be easy, if we choose not to complicate it.

Wok of Love

This became one of my favourite kdramas, and for several reasons:
1. The actors are amazing, every one of them, and so is their chemistry; (especially Lee Jun Ho and Jung Ryeo Won, such a great match!)
2. The characters are easy to love, their quirkiness, honesty, joy, liveliness, strength;
3. The cheerful, at times absurd, and mostly funny atmosphere of the show is so relaxing and keeps making you smile;
4. Best main couple ever, and great love scenes too. The actors are incredibly convincing, they look completely like a real couple;
5. Lots of awesome food scenes.
