I vaguely knew what to expect from Yorgos Lanthimos, but nothing prepared me for such treat. This is absolute eye-and-mind feast with bizarre steampunk/art nouveau setting, which reminds me of the best creations of Peter Greenaway. Best movie in last few years, don’t miss it.
Park Chan-Wook is back?! Hell yeah, I’m in!
Poe must be spinning in his grave. If Mike Flanagan aimed fior the worst interpretatuon of the classic - kudos! He made it.
Aaaand this is where I stop watching this show. You wouldn’t come up with so fake and improbable scene as the supper fight. And its aftermath - „we’re besties” now???
I am honestly shocked by the fact, how very few people actually DO get the plot of Monstrous. This is not a horror, it’s a clever disguise for psychological drama and grief study. Actng and scenography are top notch, pay attention to little hints.
Brllliant show, visuals obviously influenced by Moebius in a best way. Strong vibe of another SF gem - „Time Masters”., feast for your eyes.
That was a really good piece of arthouse cinema. Do not expect typical plot+action schema. Pictures are stellar in this one.
If you liked „The Witch”, or „Hagazusa” you’ll love The Lamb. This is perfectly acted dark folk tale with atmospheric horror elements.
As a fan of the original, the latest epsiode did not wirk for me at all. Half of the movie I had an impression it’s a copy of „Immaculate”, which IMO stands as a better movie.
I fell robbed of 150 minutes or my life. What a pointless effort that flick was.
This seems like reinterpretation of the great series „Infiniti”
Very intense finale and very emotional. Underlyimg motives of J become clear with his last scene. I am gonna miss those Mondays.
