I have cash. You have tea. Why don't we just streamline this?
I enjoyed this season, but apart from some standout moments (such as 'the brunch') I feel like this season was spinning its wheels, both character and plot-wise.
Handmaid's Tale has become ascended fanfic, and I am here for it!
I keep watching this because I'm invested in the characters. There's no way this would have been renewed except that it's Greg Daniels' baby and he's one of the most accomplished screenwriters and producers of all time. Maybe the show bites off more than it can chew, but the ambition is admirable. The running gag about how Nathan is getting "chubby", when Robbie Amell is one of the most fit and handsome men in the world, was bizarre and misplaced, but the humor hit more than it missed.
A real mixed bag but at least Upload was aiming high.
The animation is ON POINT this season! All that funny business on the moon. Zuckerberg getting sent off into space. So glad this show found its mojo again after season 3.
More space adventures! Not what I wanted or expected from a show called Foundation, but still a fun romp. Chew that scenery boys.
Three episodes left and they're still writing checks. Hope they can cash us out at the end but not too optimistic.
Hell of a ride though.
This episode probably cost more than the entire animation budget for Season 3.
I feel pretty satisfied with how they wrapped up the first season, but I wish there were a little more emotional closure. Fortunately the show's already been renewed.
Chris O'Dowd is a treasure. I can't imagine that role going to anyone else without making Dusty insufferable.
Guys what if we made a show that was in the future as envisioned in the 1950s, but that's expensive so not really.
It's in the RETROFUTURE, so we film half our scenes in a (beige as fuck) middle-American motel. Most of the rest in a (chrome as fuck) diner and a (just regular) hospital.
To spice things up, two scenes per episode must be filmed in the front seat of a 1954 Chevy Belair sedan. Here's the twist: we CGI the wheels off!
this show was so boring....
High concept sci-fi, competently produced and a tight 35 minutes. Apple is killing it lately. I also appreciate that their shows aren't compressed to muddy (Netflix) or way too dark unless you have a prosumer setup (HBO Max).
Such a fun premise! I love how the show respects DC, while managing to pull off some seriously broad comedy.
Why do I keep watching this shit? A farce without force.
Basically a housekeeping episode, to put all the players back on the board.
"That's a licensed image of Wayne Knight. So there's no IP theft on my end."
But it really sucks that a show produced by Ubisoft is soft-peddling NFTs in video games. Literally just having a random character taking a time out to explain why NFTs are good, actually, and you should want them.
If they actually manage to wrap up the story in a satisfactory way next episode, that needs to be sufficient for us. Because there's enough dangling plot/thematic threads in this series to weave a carpet.
Some of those Halloween decorations cost more than my house... What a visual treat this show can be.
oh yeah we have a whole-ass apartment down here btw
also... Sean is looking like a SNACK this season.
Jenna Ortega really pulled this one out of the grave (hehe). I wish the supporting cast were stronger, but am looking forward to next season.
I love the sitcom antics, and I understand that sitcoms require some flexibility in character traits to make these antics happen, but it's hard to buy Jo's transformation in this episode.
Watching this in VR adds an unsettling layer...
I wish Brad Garrett was MY boss daddy...
Anyway this is definitely one of the sitcoms of all time. I will happily watch it until cancellation and forget about it until I die.
Why do American directors keep hiring Toby Kebbell to do salt-of-the-earth, down-home American accents? You can hear three different accents in his voiceover, all chopped up.
he did NOT shut it down
he does NOT shut it down
he DID shut it down TWICE
he did NOT shut it down
he did NOT shut it down
he did indeed shut it down
