This is the single best episode in television history. I mean it, the rewatch value is incredible. Also the whole cage business is so masterfully designed, every beat of it is Perfect. Fuck.
such a good episode. im so sad about kendall. i just want to protect him, he's genuinely the only nice, non-back stabbing member of the family, and he screw him over way too much.
also great that it all ended with a sort of rant/therapy anyway, and all the kids start to stand up to logan
last scene was also great, i need to find out more about it
Rhea Seehorn Emmy WHEN? I'm waiting
A great episode, but a massive let down, I was promised corpses
Honestly, it was fine, but it definitely is a build up for the final season and one big cliffhanger. Just wish there were more stakes with people dying etc. Plot armour is strong on this show. Only side characters can die, apparently, main cast always comes back somehow.
They tried to change things a little and focus on the kids a little more for this season, but overall, the result is consistent as it is low-key. It was fun to watch but didn’t leave me too impressed. There is no villain in the strict sense of the word, but Ralph gave me some interesting Tonny Devito (Goodfellas) vibes. It’s still too early to tell if he will shine in later seasons, though. It was sad to see Livia go, as I enjoyed her troubled relationship with Tony and how she used to mess up things in the family. Janice is back already, but unfortunately has a more positive role this time.
