This is a list with episodes of various DC Entertainment TV series in internal chronological order, according to this list: https://geekritique.net/2015/05/19/arrow-and-the-flash-chronological-order

  • The rest of Supergirl season 1 can be watched after S04E23 of Arrow.

2017-10-27: The post on geekritique.net, which this list is based on, hasn't been updated in roughly half a year, so I consider it to be abandoned. Thus I advise anyone using this list to use my other Trakt Arrowverse list instead: https://trakt.tv/users/nidunc/lists/arrowverse-viewing-order-according-to-thetimelinesite-com.
Besides, the geekritique.net list didn't include all episodes in the first place (see the above bullet point for an example), while thetimelinesite.com does include all episodes (and is still being updated).

I will still be checking geekritique.net from time to time, but I presume it won't be updated in the future.

This is a list with episodes of various DC Entertainment TV series in internal chronological order, according to this list: http://thetimelinesite.com/timelines/27-arrow-the-flash-tv-series-timeline.

2021-01-10: If you would like a more complete list of DC films and TV-series in chronological order, so more than just the Arrowverse, have a look at my Trakt port of a DC Cinematic Universe list (that was incidentally also originally started by DIrishB): https://trakt.tv/users/nidunc/lists/dc-cinematic-multiverse-viewing-order-according-to-thecomicboard-com-members?sort=rank,asc

Notes

  • This so-called Arrowverse or shared multi-verse is also known as the DC CW Universe, as almost all TV-shows are produced by The CW (with the exception of Constantine and the first season of Supergirl)
    • Vixen and Freedom Fighters: The Ray are produced by CW Seed.
  • Obviously this list doesn't include any comic books or other written work in the Arrowverse. It only includes episodes of the various TV-series and miniseries (and films too, if they are added to thetimelinesite.com).
  • On this list I put season 1 of Arrow: Blood Rush (or Blood Rush: Arrow, according to trakt.tv) between season 1 and 2 of Arrow. You should actually watch it between episodes S02E05 and S02E06 of Arrow.

For the time being, this will have no consequences for this list (and the list on thetimelinesite.com, which this list is based on), as the new seasons of all the DC CW shows still have to start and DIrishB's list was already updated before he passed away to reflect all the changes so far.

This is a list with episodes of various Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) TV series as well as films in internal chronological order, according to this list by MythBank: https://mythbank.com/marvel-cinematic-universe-timeline/

DC aficionado too? Why, have a gander at my Trakt port of a list for all DC Cinematic Universe films and TV-series in chronological order: https://trakt.tv/users/nidunc/lists/dc-cinematic-multiverse-viewing-order-according-to-thecomicboard-com-members?sort=rank,asc

Unlike ‘my’ two Arrowverse lists on here, I’ve chosen not to include whole seasons, but only the episodes themselves, to maintain consistency throughout this list.
This is also to maximise compatibility with any third-party tools that interpret Trakt.tv lists.

I might choose to adapt my Arrowverse lists to this format as well in the future.

Up-to-date as of the 24th of July 2022 (with exceptions, see below). This description still has to be updated, as does the changelog. I don’t know when I’ll get around to that.

Not included

  • All the comics and graphic novels (obviously)
  • Captain Marvel (2019) (will be added to this list once it’s been released and its position in the timeline is certain)
    • Captain Marvel has been released; added on the 6th of May 2019.
  • Other films and episodes that haven’t come out / aired yet (such as Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019))
  • Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Slingshot (between Captain America: Civil War and AoS 4x01)
    • Added on the 2nd of February 2018
  • Marvel’s Inhumans 1x01 onwards (will add those episodes and films to this list once they’ve been released and their position in the timeline is certain)
    • Marvel’s Inhumans has premiered and is now included in the viewing order.
  • The Stark Expo videos.
    • Those should be seen between Iron Man (2008) and The Incredible Hulk (2008) and can supposedly be watched at https://www.facebook.com/StarkExpo/, but I can’t find the actual videos there.
    • Some videos can be watched here, though: https://www.reddit.com/5cs17x.

The changelog of this list was moved to the comments on 2021-01-02 and is now being maintained there

This is a Trakt port of this list on The Comic Board (originally started by DIrishB—rest in peace-and continued by “Pro Bot” and other users after he passed away): https://www.thecomicboard.com/threads/dc-cinematic-multiverse-viewing-reading-order.14689/

Are you a Marvel connoisseur too? Then I’ve got you covered; here’s my Trakt port of a chronological list for the Marvel Cinematic Universe: https://trakt.tv/users/nidunc/lists/marvel-cinematic-universe-viewing-order-according-to-mythbank?sort=rank,asc

Not included (besides all the comics and other written material, obviously) ...

Notes

  • Some episodes are intentionally out of order (sometimes being very far off from where one would expect them to be) — shows where this is the case are Wonder Woman, Lucifer, The Flash (1990), Supergirl, Titans et al.
    If you still think I made a mistake while porting the list on thecomicboard.com to Trakt, feel free to leave a comment;
  • One should watch the Special Edition of Superman (1978);
  • Vixen: The Movie (2017) should be watched in two parts; the first five(/four?) chapters take place on the spot where I placed it (so between Arrow 3x08 and The Flash 1x09) and the remaining chapters take place between Supergirl 1x04 and Arrow 4x07;
  • One should watch the Extended Cut of Suicide Squad (2016);
  • One should watch the Extended Cut of Green Lantern (2011);
12

According to the “Episode Listing” page on The Infosphere, The Futurama Wiki: https://theinfosphere.org/Episode_Listing.

The films were each broadcast on Comedy Central, and are listed on Disney+ (in season 6), as four parts, which makes 16 ‘episodes’ in total.

If you’re using Disney+, feel free to mark each film as watched after watching the fourth part (Trakt doesn’t have the films split up into four parts anywhere.)
