Wasn't surprised by Glenn' being alive. They wouldn't have let one of the old characters to go down with no heroics involved and with pretty much no one there to tell the tale and to emotionally react to their death. I feared though that him getting away will seem too unbelievable and far-fetched and therefore cheapen the show, but they managed to make it look decent enough. To be honest there weren't any surprising moments in that episode at all. We knew Spenser was an impulsive idiot. We knew that Ron is a self-obsessed brat with messed up priorities and wanted to practice a gun with at least on of the Grimes as his target. We also knew that Morgan won't be able to hide his pet wolf forever. And throughout the episode it became pretty obvious that the tower is going to fall. But that's the beauty of Walking dead. They grow tension even better than shock with suddenness. Great episode.
"I'm like a lollipop with a question mark on the wrapper. I don't know what's going on inside."
Such an amazing episode!
It just left me speechless.
Now I can tell with no doubt this is the best season of the walking dead so far I hope that they keep this level of awesomeness!
But the part that made me sad about this episode is that it focused on Carol and we all know what's going to happen next in this show unless a miracle happens.
10/10
It really was an episode that messes up with my nerves.... It was obvious that they wouldn't get rid of Negan's group so fast, but I was anxious the whole time.
I LOVED Carol in this episode!! Finally we saw a much more humane side of her!! Which IMO was seriously lacking! I like how in one single episode, we got to see her feeling sorrow even from events back to season 3 with her diary of deaths. I think it was a nice touch that Carol was standing in front of Sam's grave... considering how the kid was all traumatized when he died. It's good that the writers didn't just turn her into a heartless character and she is feeling maybe a little bit of guilt over past actions
Now Tobin and Carol were adorable!! I like how they were playful and at the same time seemed to connect when talking. Also, seeing her interacting with other people apart from the group is always nice. It's a good match how he is sort of defenseless but still gets that she is tough with a good heart. I think it's what she needs, someone that doesn't see her as a helpless woman, nor as a super fighter. Even if it doesn't last, I think it's good for her to have that for a while
I also liked that she didn't turn on Morgan too!! He is pissing me off, even though I understand that he is struggling to not go back to how he was in Clear... but the guy made a huge mistake, and even after the whole mess he still wants to just talk to people... he is sounding like a broken record.
It's about time that Morgan changes his speech a bit. He could adapt like Gabriel and come to terms with how the world really is now.
And speaking of Gabriel, he really has changed! I like him now! He hasn't lost his faith, he just realized that he couldn't still hold on to the pass.
I hate how Abraham broke up with Rosita!! That was such a jerk move. It was really low to say something like that to her. And I was kind of hoping that Eugene would've been a bit more sympathetic instead of saying those non-sense about the cookie. I know he was being himself... but at the same time, he was there when Abraham and Rosita met and got together... I was hoping a bit more of support.
Now the ending was intense!!!
I dunno what they've put in the writer's waters these last few episodes...but long may it continue!
This episode was an ode to female strength. Loved to see Carol and Maggie fighting to get back for the ones them love #girlpower
I don't know what to do... cry for Dr Denise or laugh about Eugene
There's a really beautiful quote about existence in that episode:
"Hey, do you mind if I tell you a story? One you might not have heard. All the elements in your body were forged many, many millions of years ago in the heart of a far away star that exploded and died. That explosion scattered those elements across the desolations of deep space. After so, so many millions of years these elements came together to form new stars and new planets. And on and on it went. The elements came together and burst apart forming shoes and ships and sealing wax and cabbages and kings. Until, eventually, they came together to make you. You are unique in the universe. There is only one Merry Galel and there will never be another. Getting rid of that existence isn't a sacrifice, it is a waste!"
Also the Doctor's speech is just brilliant. I wasn't expecting to like that episode as much as I liked.
Omg Lisa Kudroooooww! :D Love her! They couldn't have picked someone better to play Kimmy's Mom. I hope she's gonna return. And then the cliffhanger :O
After an almost-Denise-centric-episode, feels weird not having her around. However, was still fun to watch! A bunch of new characters in the mix and hilarious silly moments as well. Once again, Hester does it for me. The spontaneity as the Channels welcome Hester into their homes despite the odds of being killed in their sleep, was crazy good.
About that final scene, it wasn't much of a reveal... I'm guessing everyone had figured out by now that Cassidy was involved somehow. I'll throw a random guess and say that the killer reveal next week will be Hester, which won't get us nowhere.
And hey! Penelope was the first patient ever who has been cured and didn't get killed!
I just want to grab Red by the scruff of the neck and yell, “TELL HER!!”
Mr Kaplan is just awesome :) :) She plays her role really well.
Nice episode!
Some people are just very good at deceit. For a moment I thought during the Dentistry scene alliances had altered. Fooled me again Red!!
This show seems clinically incapable of disappointing. How much longer can it keep up this quality? I hope a long long time.
Great episode. The music at the end "Trouble- TV on Radio" was amazing.
Also, VARGAS, YOU SON OF A BITCH!
Between Red's, and Tom's last scenes in the episodes... jesus-fucking-christ.
This episode was the first in a while that focused mainly in the relationships between the characters and the action was not very important. Liked the change of pace and I want to see how Liz will deal with these two men trying to control her life now.
This episode reminds me that although other sitcoms may be more consistently hilarious and creative (Brooklyn 99), there is currently no other one I like more in capturing the feeling of being among a group of friends hanging out who enjoy each other's company very much.
I had to check if I was on the right show in the beginning but great episode. One of the bests this season. I know that feeling, Gretchen. I know...
Seeing Jon and Sansa reuniting was so satisfying ^_^ Sansa has matured a lot. Brienne actually made it in time for once xD
Loved the ending. Danny with her usual coming out of the fire naked, looking badass xD
In a show with so many characters, one of the most emotional deaths was the guy with one word of dialogue. That's why Game of Thrones is so great.
I'm already in love with this. The way it's shot and edited is goddamn amazing.
Better than the first one. Shows more aspects of the purge 'philosophy' together with a danger of its miss-usage.
I'm still sobbing as I write this. The film is very good but it is quite traumatic. It is a subtle meditation on grief (as symbolised by the monster) and will ring true to a lot of peoples experiences. Billed as a family film, though I fear young ones will be too scared by the monster and too upset by the subject matter. Brilliant performance from the young lead and a great script that isn't as heavy handed as it could have been.
This show quickly grew on me when i started watching it, and i was sold after the first episode. I might also add that the pilot episode does an excellent job of giving you the idea of how the show is gonna be like. Alot of shows dont have that, and im not saying that every TV show should have one, because the task is quite hard. But Suits does it, and writers can learn a thing or two about that from this. Excellent!
Now that we've got that down, i wanna say that EVERYONE should watch this show. It has Drama, Characters, Acting excellence, on the tip of your seat exitement and most of all, hot women (i'm kidding, but not really :P) The Show just oozes of brilliance. Haven't watched it yet? Then stop reading about it, and for the love of the TV gods go watch the pilot! I PROMISE you will get hooked!
I love Me-Mow... cute little kiddy cat assasin.. with so cute voice ♥
Started watching this on Saturday with my wife. went in with no expecations and it blew us away!!
A must see!! Dont see a lot of shows so well written these days.
An hour and forty minutes of Scarlett Johansson getting naked, seducing guys and killing them in some weird vortex pool inside a house. If you like her, watch it! Scarlett and the awesome film photography are good reasons to do so.
You have to be in the mood to be challenged and completely open to see it as a look of the world through her alien eyes.
It's bizarre, dark, intriguing and is going to make you think "WTF is going on here?!". But it's a boring film overall in which nothing really happens - be aware of that.
