Will this series ever air? It is not listed on Syfy's schedule and they don't mention it premiering anywhere.
They should just cut every scene with this worst ever character dr. smith!
Another great show people rated bad here before they even saw it... There's some Legends of Tomorrow similarities where it's about chasing a bad guy through time.
However, I'm hooked anyway due to good cast and performances. The show is fun as well.
I knew regardless of what this new version was people would hate! I’m so tired of people being so critical lol. Nothing is going to be as great as the classic and any version of this movie would be compared to the original. It wasn’t fantastic but I didn’t care because I loved seeing Eddie and the rest of the cast in this light. I didn’t go into watching this for any other reason except the nostalgia of it all, and you should to!
I'm a simple woman, I see Matthew Goode, I watch.
Tried the first episode. Thought it was over acted and not funny. Very shallow. None of the characters were likeable. All everyone seemed to do is shout at each other. Won't be checking out the rest.
It has a big emphasis on family drama. If you're into that you'll probably enjoy it, but honestly I think it doesn't come anywhere close to the likes of Expanse.
From the start of its announcement this show brought out the most controversial discussions. So I followed the hype to take a look at what it’s all about.
I haven’t read any of the books nor did I play a single game so let me tell you: if you don’t know any of the stories and characters it’s kinda difficult to get into it. From the beginning it felt to me this show is directly aimed at the fans especially of the books. To me it seems like The Witcher is such a big story it must’ve been hard for the creators of this show to fit it into this show.
I get why fans of The Witcher might like this show so much and they have every right to. Storytelling is good although lengthy at times and as mentioned before it’s aimed at that audience.
For me as an „outsider“ this show is about average. Acting in many cases feels uninspired and a lot of the shows special effects and camera work feel like they’re pre 2010. And to be honest, I expected a little more from a show with this amount of advance blessings. At times you don’t really get where the show is headed especially as a virgin to this universe. Also character building and structure can be confusing at times.
Finally a word to the people who tried to tell everyone this will be a GoT-Killer: it’s not, far from it to be honest. Although I did NOT compare this show with GoT at any time during my watch through Season 1 there were a lot of Witcher Fans out there in the previous months who tried to paint that picture. Do yourself a favor and don’t compare those two shows. They have very different premises and both shows deserve to be looked at independently.
For Witcher-Fans: enjoy the show, it should be (almost) everything you were looking for.
For everyone else: give it a try but it just might not be your cup of tea.
Am I a team player?.. I chugged a 40 with my asshole!.. I'm a team player
Lol only 6 minutes in and she's already saying "we get our babies back." OMG! Idk which is worse this line used multiple times per episode or "lifeboat" from Manifest.
I've just read that this will be the final season. :( I can't believe it's coming to an end... It was an amazing journey and I hope that finale won't disappoint and that Raj will finally find a girlfriend and be happy...the poor guy just can't catch a break...
While I'm not mesmerized by the story it holds my interest enough to keep watching. I kinda wished I waited until the series was done & binge it.
Walton Goggins has played some interesting characters in the past, but The Ghoul is iconic.
Someone is thinking this is The Block (Australia). lol
This doesnt belong here. This series only has the 7 episodes
Coincidence that Alexander Skarsgård — aka. Eric Northman — stars in this movie? I think not!
At this point, it's my guilty pleasure show. The first season felt so toned down and slightly, and I mean super slightly, like a slice of life series. The story to me always seemed like it was dedicated to Johnny Lawrence and Miguel Diaz, similar to the original film being about Mr. Miyagi and Daniel LaRusso. That being said, S3 is an overdose of the final episode of S2, where we get more of the High School all out karate fight. It's bonkers and you know what it becomes tolerable when you get the best bits of Lawrence helping Miguel get out of his wheelchair. The Karate Kid was an underdog story, one where two misfits find meaning through one another. Cobra Kai is Degrasse+ Kung Fu (the TV series) and it's not in anyway in the same spirit as the original movie or its terrific freshman season.
That being said, considering the series is now a hit on Netflix, I do hope the Emmy's recognize William Zabka for his amazing performance on this show. The guy embodies every middle aged man who didn't understand high school ends. He also balances a terrific form of tragedy and humor (a talent not every actor can balance but Zabka does in a series that could've been an SNL bit). Anyways, I'm going to buy an Eagle Fang Karate T-Shirt. This is my guilty pleasure TV show.
A really good story of the complexities of family and coming to terms with your past and reconciling that with your present and future. The struggle of loving what you are and who your people are while realizing the deep flaws of humanity.
A really, really good movie.
You know there were a lot of things I loved about this film but for the sake of this review and to keep from spoiling too much I'll keep it short. The scene where nothing happens really blew me away along with the part where nothing happens. There's a slow, intense scene that really sets the stage for nothing happening that I found really well done. I also enjoyed the ending that took 90 minutes to get to in which, finally, nothing happens. Really a great film about the ins and outs of nothing going on. Solid 10/10.
The end put quite the smile on my face.
Just finished watching season 1. Highly recommend really good show
I went into this with no expectations but what I found was a well crafted, complex and compelling thriller. The writing is intelligent. The story is intricate and unexpectedly human. The performances are multifaceted. The locations are beautiful. I really enjoyed this series. I give this series a 9 (superb) out of 10.
8/10.
Surreal as Benedict Cumberbatch’s acting is, in “Eric”, the gritty atmosphere of New York City in the 1980s is masterfully captured. Although lengthy, this show is a real gem because it interrogates deep themes.
A fitting send off for Jack McCoy. “It’s been a hell of a ride.”
It's really boring, plot moves at a glacial pace with a lot of filler in every single episode. I watched 5 episodes, and don't really care who did it at this point.
Great season finale. Couldn’t have predicted the outcome
The script of course is good - as is most everything else except for Owen and the cheesy saxophone score. It’s unfortunate that so many modern film noirs are caricatures of the old films.
As for Clivey-boy, I’ve suspected that he’s not a very good actor and this show has confirmed it. He delivers Spade’s one liners in a clumsy unnatural fashion. Fortunately he’s not as horrible as Liam.
It's just another revenge story
Movie was the definition of mid
Wasn't bad, wasn't great.. Just watchable
And it was way to long for what it was trying to deliver
I honestly was excited to watch this movie and had my hopes up so maybe that's why it wasn't that great to me with such expectations
Anyways not regretting the time
Probably one of the best film ideas in recent memory. It's too bad that Helander didn't follow through on the idea presented in his 2003 short film precursor to this. While the film fails at living up to it's original billing, it is extremely entertaining and will keep your attention throughout. My wife, who rarely likes films like this, said and I qoute "It was good." Well worth a watch.
Never have I been so excited for the next episode.. Axe is back baby!
This is a quirky series and I was fascinated with it from beginning to end. There has to be a second season, as we were left hanging as it were…
