It's the worst show I've ever watched. After one episode I can say that it is not suitable for watching. The series was filmed to scare, upset and bring a lot of negative emotions into life. Completely different than, for example, The Walking Dead. It introduces anxiety, elements that were during the last war - a scene with a boy with a child admitted to quarantine. Then thrown on the pile. Probably a series for subliminal coding of negative emotions. Don't watch it. The whole thing is probably filmed according to the current pandemic narrative.

@michalkaluza Did you get fired off the show or something? This is, so far, the best video game to movie/TV adaptation I have encountered. I played part 1 of the video game about 3 years ago and knew it had some really good ideas that would translate to a TV series. I wish someone would be able to do the same thing and make a tv series based on all the assassin’s creed stuff. Some really good ideas in those games too.
Just back from a secret screening of this and it had no business being so good.

@djryan I liked this movie too, but it’s interesting that you mentioned Marvel movies because I couldn’t help but notice that they basically repurposed a bunch of the same jokes and character types that got laughs in different Marvel movies and some other big box office movies. The scene where Hulk slams Loki back and forth…the main female character Holga remind you at all of Drax the Destroyer from Guardians of the Galaxy?…the whole 5 questions bit seems really familiar but I can’t place it, plenty of other things too.
I thought it was ok, then it just got dumb as all the other scary movies do. Don't expect anything new or too scary. Police in the movie are depicted as dumb as any person can be ......lots of dumb people in this movie. Lots of nudity, I warned you....

@usalittlebird Sometimes art imitates life. The same kinda thing happened to one of Dahmer’s victims…he was a 14 year old who was wandering around outside naked and bleeding from several spots after waking up from being drugged in Dahmer’s apartment and police were called by neighbors. Dahmer explained things away saying he was a friend that stayed with him and he got drunk on the weekends. The police officers helped Dahmer take him back to his apartment. They looked briefly inside his apartment and left. Dahmer later told police that he strangled the boy 30 minutes after they left and that he had another dead body in a separate room while they were there. A neighbor even followed up with police and FBI when she recognized a picture of the missing boy a few days later and police and FBI according to the neighbor never followed up on it. Dahmer killed 5 more people after that incident. He also told a story about police pulling him over after the first person he ever killed. From what I remember he said he was driving his parents station wagon with a body wrapped in plastic in the back during the traffic stop. Creepy stuff.

What a collosal waste of time. If this is what passes as horror today I am so glad I grew out of that phase way back in the 80's.
It was literally like there were two sets of writers and directors, the first writer/director who wrote the beginning with the character Keith in it seemed to have something going and it certainly made it creepy and had me wondering what was going to happen but then once Keith was gone it was like they brought in a new writer and director who had no clue where to go with the plot or how to finish the movie.I was starting to wonder if half way through the movie I had somehow switched to another movie that seemed to have completely lost the plot.
The "Barbarian", I assume was the grotesque woman and not the man kidnapping women?, was creepy looking but hardly scary at all and wasn't used enough. I mean, really, they want us to be on the edge of our seats because she wants to keep them as her baby and feed them?? LOL
The guy kidnapping the women and who created the whole set up is some decrepit bedridden old man who can barely hold his pistol to kill himself and he was the only scary one :D
When the homeless guy says there is something even worse than the creepy lady I kept waiting for it to appear, maybe THAT is what the "barbarian" was going to be and would make it all worth the while to watch this movie.... nothing... crickets. Did they forget they mentioned it? or was it so uninspiring and forgettable I compeltely missed it?! :D :D :DThe sad thing is I usually read reviews first before watching a movie/show so I get at least some idea if it is worth it or whether it will interest me or not and when I saw consistant positive reviews (and 7 or higher ratings) I figured it was worth a shot. Really?? C'mon, someone could have warned me this was crap!!!

So, now that we know there's a DHD, this is starting to look like Stargate. Does Jude have the coordinates to return to the Yorks'? And if they can breathe out there, then what happened to the mice Frank remembered Irene about on the first or second episode? He made it seem as if he released them on the planet's surface and they died. More importantly, WHERE THE HELL IS BYRON?! Not that I actually care, though, but he probably became a priest in the (likely medieval) village down below. I'm curious about that one.
Season 2 better give us some answers! Season 2 better happen! Please don't turn this into another Flashforward.

@misnomer Maybe it was a different season and the planet is inhospitable at certain times and that is why the mice died. Those cement like structures around the cities might close to protect them at those times. Why wouldn’t you care about Byron?…a bit nosey but doesn’t deserve death. Byron was probably captured and is being held like Jude was, or he’s hiding behind some rocks trying to figure out what’s going on (this doesn’t seem like Byron though). My question is if the cities are so close to the portal they came through, why have they not been able to find it for so long? Sunlight reflecting off that much glass should be pretty easy to spot.
A better movie than Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Massively disappointing compared to the first movie I'm afraid, for some reason in this one they've kind of shoehorned in an actual plot, which in my opinion doesn't really work well with the Aqua Teen setup, the first movie had a much looser plot and I think is much better for it.

@bobotheclown I had the exact opposite opinion as far as the 2 movies go. First one left me underwhelmed. The second one was entertaining for the most part. I think most would agree that the show is way better than both the movies.
Life Long Star Trek fan here,... and I'm done with this rubbish, This has gone full Woke, PC-Culture. And what is with the virtually None Caucasian cast?... Plus, the only TRUE Starfleet actors are PIKE & SARU, to which I'd be proud to have them as ambassadors for Humanity.

@alienmoon There are several Caucasian people in Discovery. Star Trek, from the very beginning, was always more “Woke” , than most shows. Writers have always dealt with the issues of the time. Not sure why there are so many people surprised by this. Don’t you think that when people from all over Earth joined the federation, it would be more than just white people? Then you throw in all the life from other planets, should it be still mostly white people? Not to mention that I would hope that the many years in the future they are, and with the diversity of humans and Aliens to choose from to form the crew, things would have progressed in society enough that the issues you seem to have, wouldn’t be issues anymore. Knowing humanity, the diversity might breed more hatred in some.
