god how i love this show (how it managed to make me laugh then cry in quick succession is beyond me)
10/10. Peak. This might be one of the best comic book TV finales or even episodes ever. Maybe this is recency bias but I don’t really care, this straight up floored me. Incredible.
I’ll say it again, the growth of Loki throughout this series has been absolutely phenomenal. To go from a selfish villain to a selfless hero has been an epic journey. This is MARVEL in all its glory!
The best growth of any character in the entire story, period. Amazing. As sad as it is he was destined to be alone, he always did have glorious purpose.
Loki is the most well-developed character in the MCU. This ending was truly worthy of the character!:green_heart:
I see what you're doing, show. Having Loki become a master of time travel who turns toward the camera while emphasizing the line "it's WHO". I see, and I am amused. I like how this not only explores who our main cast were before their lives in the TVA, but it's a meta examination of how you can't just recapture the allure of the past without it literally unraveling, and also how the absurd impossibility of fiction is just as essential to science fiction as the science. A really inventive and rich episode. And so many jet skis.
That cliffhanger is killing me. Can't wait next week.
I never thought that Marvel would dare to do a scene like that, where Rabona and Miss Minutes murder the former AVT agents in cold blood, woww... it was too strong a scene.
Dare I say… best episode of Loki yet? Definitely the best this season. Everything about it was PERFECT.
Objectively - yes, 30 min. was not enough. Izzy dying was also kinda....unnecessary. Yes, it was foreshadowed, and heartfelt but still, I think him becoming the new captain would have been a fitting ending to his arc in this season. That aside, love the ending, everyone teaming up and stuff. Lovely season, it was so much fun to watch.
We definitely need (a longer, better funded, with people getting paid well for their outstanding work) season 3.
This live adaptation has broken the bad anime adaptation curse. It captured 85% of the original anime.
As someone who doesn't read the manga or watch the anime, this first introduction to the series has convinced me to check more of the story out. I'm excited to dive deeper into One Piece, and I'm looking forward to any future seasons of the show!
This series really captured the spirit of One Piece. I am completely caught off guard by how good it is. There is so much story to retell. Looking fwd to it.

Finally back! I missed this
I’ve never watched One Piece or read the manga ‘cause, honestly, I don’t have the courage or time to start a 1000+ episode anime or read even more than that. I didn’t even know what the story was about other than them being pirates, so this live action is a good opportunity to enjoy the story without it being too overwhelming.
So far I really enjoyed it, it is funny and entertaining. It doesn’t seem to be cringe and weird like other live actions Netflix put out throughout the years, but I am curious to read other people’s opinions (especially the ones who have watched/read One Piece before) once I finish watching. Looking forward to watch more episodes :)
As someone that has only seen a few anime episodes here and there I'm absolutely loving this. It's just incredibly fun and impossible to watch without a smile on your face.
I hate that it has that weird 'Netflix look' to it but other than that really good.
We expected more of a fight from you James, you're English. For God's sake 5 of you lot got together and invaded half the world
This is such an emotional roller coaster episode. Great blending of hilarious, heart warming and unexpectedly sadness.
Really fun to see their mas’ backstory. The casting and acting of young mas are so on point to the adult version and their kids. This is such an awesome episode that I can rewatch and it’s still funny.
[8.7/10] Another really sweet one. I love the juxtaposition of how, for most of Northern Ireland, this is a momentous day of peace that resonates across the country. But for our young heroes, it’s an equally momentous day -- their high school prom. It speaks to one of the core themes of the show, how there was all this dramatic stuff taking place on a national scale, and which was even present in the lives of young people at the time (see also: the bomb squad blowing up Michelle’s suitcase), but that for the teenagers at the time, this was just their lives, with the same ups and downs other folks had.
This one is definitely sweeter than some other Derry Girls episodes, without skimping on the humor. It’s very cute when Orla decides to take Granda to prom because “he’s the guy I like best,” and the two of them dance together to the 1950s throwbacks. It’s touching when Erin and Clare reconcile, admit they were jealous/miffed and that they’re best friends. And the most wholesome, heartwarming scene in the whole show may very well be James giving up his Dr. Who convention to escort Erin to prom after she’s been stood up and Erin coming down in her Easter dress, because she’d rather be herself with her friends. This show doesn’t often go for the sap, but when it does, they hit hard.
The humor’s top notch too! The girls buying prom dresses on Michelle’s mom’s credit card with the intent of returning them the next day, only for them to get splattered with pigs blood a la Carrie is a great setup and payoff. Mae’s a cool instigator, with the girls’ trying to be friends with her for surface level reasons and getting way more than they bargained for. Everyone freaking out about the television breaking, and Gerry’s harried attempts to fix it are a big laugh, and a nice way to deliver the peace accord news just when the show needs it to happen. Just the girls fretting over how prom will go, and whether Erin’s ex is dating a model or just a girl who’s “done some modeling” brings the same crackerjack dialogue and comical line-reads the show always delivers.
Overall, this is a high water mark for the show, mixing sentiment and humor in a way where both land like gangbusters.
No one say protect Orla at all costs bcoz she can fucking protect herself better than anyone else armed with nothing but her hunting knife.
The contrast to the last scene of the last season was interesting.
sheeeesh that juxtaposition at the end ??????? and also i'm amazed by how such subtle things added so much to the storytelling and tone and of the ending scene due to the cast's characterization this past season (e.g. sister michael's expression changing showing how the derry girls' silly little thing managed to touch a cynic like her despite it all, joe putting a hand on gerry's shoulder highlighting just how grave and serious current events were)
The ending scene cutting between the sheer joy of teens living their lives and the bombing while Dreams is playing is honestly one of the most gut punching scenes I've seen on TV. Like yes this is a comedy but it pulls no punches when it reminds you of just how bleak real life can get

This finale warmed my heart, then ripped it out and stomped all over it. Also, it will probably be a few years before we get season 3, so, 10/10 - for the pleasure and the pain to last.
