As I watched the end of this episode I felt an amazing sadness, first for Agnes then for Reddington. Agnes will grow up without either parent, and Reddington failed at his sole purpose in life. Liz on the other hand, she brought this on herself. Yes none of it probably would have happened if Red and stayed in the shadows, but once he became a part of her life she did everything she could to defy him and brought pain and suffering to everyone around her as a consequence. If you stab someone in the back that many times and they still care for you, maybe you should listen to them and accept that they are trying to protect you.
I know a lot of people didn't like Liz from the start, but I actually liked her in the beginning. But once she started with the on again off again defiance and attempted murder of Red I started to really dislike her, and by the time it got to this episode I couldn't really feel bad for her. I'm writing this after the show has ended so I know there is a season 9 & 10, and my only hope is that they can keep the plot twists coming without the need to center them around Liz.
