"If it run, I catch it." X'DDDD
Hands down the best 90 mins of television I have ever watched. There is nothing not to love about this episode, tons of laughs, dramatic twists, with touching moments and heartbreaking moments. Simply unreal how good it was.
This was amazing I didn't expect that all the events and the flashbacks to be related and as always there is a touch of humor but this episode contains a lot of it.
Synopsis: Ben's sworn enemy, Kevin 11, teams up with fellow nemesis Vilgax to take down Ben once and for all. Ben himself has found the master control of the Omnitrix, allowing him to transform into any of the alien beings by just thinking it, much to the chagrin of Gwen and Grandpa. When Ben battles his two enemies, one of Grandpa's gadgets leads to the two villains being trapped in a dimension where the worst beings in the galaxy are...only for Ben to follow them inside! Will Ben be able to emerge victorious and escape unscathed?
The Good: This is what I've come to expect from this series; if you've read my previous reviews, you know what I mean.
The Bad: Nothing, really.
Content Concerns:
Sex: None.
Nudity: None.
Language: Name-calling, at worst.
Violence: Fantasy action violence throughout.
Drugs: None.
Frightening/Intense Scenes: The usual: scary villains, creepy monsters, emotional intensity.
Other: A bit of gross-out humor.
A fitting finale for a wild ride of a series.
I think Max&Randy is the thing I loved most in these series, that was a couple with true chemistry, "beyond the comfort zone" flair and just sexy. The only thing I'll really miss due to the cancellation of the show. It was good while it lasted and it really lost its point this season, since they're not really broke, even if they still "work" in the diner. Plus, I'm sure Randy would've pitch in, 10,000$ for a fancy lawyer - that's nothing. I wish we could get a proper ending episode with Max's wedding, Caroline's dad showing up, Han finding a cute girl... Well, girl can dream...
That daughter father part was just delightful... even the mother with the other son was pretty cool.
Sheldon can be so exhausting lol.
This episode is superb. Love these two parts.
First:
FORNELL: Napalitano's always been a step ahead of me. Every informant, every agent I get close to ends up like that kid downstairs. No one's that lucky.
GIBBS: He's got a mole in the Bureau.
FORNELL: Or someone with access to my operations.
GIBBS: Why not take it to Internal Affairs?
FORNELL: They can't help me.
GIBBS: But I can?
FORNELL: Realizing how sad this sounds, you're the closet thing I have to a friend, Gibbs.
GIBBS: You dying or something? Okay, not dying. Is this some part of a twelve step program?
FORNELL: Look, are you going to help me or not?
GIBBS: I'm thinking about it.
Second:
JIMMY: (INTO PHONE) And Gibbs, you hurt my boy, I'll kill your brothers, your uncles, your father...
JIMMY: (V.O./FILTERED) ... and after their funerals, I'll kill you.
GIBBS: (INTO PHONE) No brothers, no uncles, my father passed years ago. I do have three ex-wives whose names and addresses I will gladly fax on to you. (SFX: HANGS UP PHONE)
GIBBS: Oh. He hung up.
Such a sad story. You can feel for them.
The fact is you're good.
The best.
When you're as good, it's something as you are when you can make a difference like you can you just don't quit.
My man! This was such a hilarious episode, and everything involving the father was incredible. The glitching and simulations was such a creative concept!
“Nobody exist on purpose, nobody belongs anywhere. Everybody’s gonna die, come watch TV”
the ending was the best tbh
Awesome twist. Really hoping this is not a one of a kind thing.
"Alright, Morty. Don't break an arm jerking yourself off."
What a wonderful twist at the end! I loved the interaction between dumb Rick and Jerry. That wrecked me lmao.
this was a great episode, so impressed with the show.
Wubba lubba dub dub! We're back! And a great first episode back too.
Man, this episode is so great. From the simple little game they play at the arcade to the wonderfully made original song, this episode was top-notch. Good job for Morty’s first real kill!!
The main story with Rick, Morty, and Summer was great. The show showed off its sci-fi creativity chops with Rick dating Unity (hooray for Christina Hendricks and Patton Oswalt as a borg-esque collective), and Summer's do-gooder issues with trying to fix things were a great comedic twist. I loved the line "First race war, huh?" and all the Unity-related gags were great and inventive for both Rick and his grandkids. The Jerry/Beth storyline didn't work as well for me, though it did deepen Beth's character a bit, which was nice. Lots of laughs all around. Then, things get serious.
Rick's suicide attempt with the background music was, as this show occasionally is, heartbreaking. It's always powerful when shows like this show the well of emotion behind all the absurd humor. Quality episode for sure. Probably an 8.5/10 (the Beth-Jerry stuff dragged it down a bit).
I thought this was a great example of how things will eventually catch up to you if you do enough bad things... I mean... Rick did a lot of bad things guys, this makes sense. It's also nice to see Rick get out of selfish mode and think about his family. Good finale. Great season. Went way too fast, I'll miss it.
-Hey, what are you in for?
-Everything.
They actually dropped a surpirse episode on April Fools. I love these guys. And it was a brilliant episode! I'm excited for the rest of season.
I'm really trying to find something negative to say about the season premiere just to balance all the amazing comments before mine. But alas, I cannot find a single one.. the show is amazing! It touched perfection and I cannot wait for the rest of the season
9 more seasons! hahaha I liked this Community "Six Seasons and A Movie" parallel
The creators of this show are just showing off now. This is by far the absolute best episode of Rick and Morty. We have Comedy, Evolution, Biology, Psychology, Danny Trejo, a super bad ass action sequence, drugs, morality, alcoholism, and poop eating all in one spectacular episode. And to top all that off with a bit of 1960s Batman after the credits. Television does not get better than this. "Jesus Christ" --Rick Sanchez
When will this show stop F'n blowing my mind?!?!?!
