I don't want this show to endddddd
At this point Mike Flanagan is like 90% of the reason why I'm still subscribed to Netflix.
after 30min: what the heck i am watching here ?
after 60min: ok, i got the story. So what now ?
after 90min: what?! Are you serious. That makes no sense. What a s****y movie.
after 120min: wow! just, wow!
after 147min: what a totally great movie. Typical Lynch, but it make much MUCH more sense than "Lost Highway".
Totally liked it. Rating: 8/10
Very clever, very violent, very adult. It's the mystery and the depth that hooked me and kept me looking for the deeper story. The payoff was worth it. I was put off by the HBO-ification ("add more sex and violence, it'll bring in the viewers") that distracted from the heart of the show but I loved the actors, the framework, the reveals and the maze.
This show is hard to watch, but not in an expectedly bad way. It has become slowly paced and heavily emotional and frustrating. I always feel like slapping one of the twins, but I never know who. Also, all those little weird things happening elsewhere in between the twins' arguments that seem to have no apparent purpose or consequence whatsoever... Such an oddity of a show, so very hard to rate it. It definitely developed into something else from that rather misleading premiere.
One thing's been guaranteed throughout the episodes, though: it's an absolute thrill to watch Rachel Weisz vs. Rachel Weisz, she plays two different roles as if she's actually two different people. Excellent acting! Being a Rachel Weisz fanboy since The Mummy has truly paid off.
Only two episodes to go, I am definitely not binging this (it actually took me sometime between watching the previous episode and this one), but I'm curious to see how it all ends. And then, hopefully, feel... Relief?
The dinner scene is a masterclass.
Can't understand why the rating is so low. I thought it was a decent film..a little predictable but entertaining.
I didn't expect it but Fatma is very intense, dynamic and full of twists. It is truely thrilling. Fatma's story begins as a thriller and changes to a drama during the time. The series shows what can happen to a woman who's consistently underestimated and ignored by the society. Strongly recommended!
The first few episodes are honestly sub par, but then the season takes off and gives us a great finale for one of the best series in the last few years.
