Small rock slowly hovers towards a firebender.
Ladies and gentlemen, Kieran Culkin, the 2023 Emmy winner.
Finally a good Star Wars tv show.
"Some people just can't cut a deal"
The pacing of this episode was crazy good I couldn't take my eyes off the screen even for a moment. It felt so real and tangible.
This whole episode and particularly the balcony scene were a masterclass in directing, acting, writing and editing. Every action and every word spoken convey so much meaning, and yet they feel so organic. I feel thankful to be able to witness such brilliance.
I'll be repetitive but I'll say it again, there is no series in history with dialogue as well written and logically staged as Succession.
I’m not sure how true to reality the Walgreens characters are, but they carried this episode. Hilarious!
I don't think it's too early to say that tonight's episode of SUCCESSION was literally one of the greatest in television history.
I would like to someone like Netflix buy rights and create in new episodes!
I just finished rewatching the show, and am still so sad that it was cancelled. It’s really a great show; I forgot how much I loved it! Made me rethink what people really are saying haha
I like the way Marcus is committed to learn cooking desserts
I can't with the napping kids (and Pete) LOLOL. Marcus is adorable with the desserts
Also, Tina warming up to Sydney?!
Not bad first episode and as per usual Gary Oldman is top class.
Walter whistling after watching the kid on the news said so much with no words. How could anyone still cheer for him? Anti-hero my *ss
Holy fuck. I have goosebumps. Might be the best episode of TV this year. Fucking amazing. Honestly, I can't blame Tom for what he did, he's taken so much shit from everyone, including his own wife.
Overall this season is a slight step-down from the second, but whew that finale was the series' best. Brutal, funny, tragic, and almost unbearably suspenseful. Skarsgard's story of ancient Roman slaves is such a succinct summary of the Roy family arc. The finale even retroactively elevates the path that leads to it a bit, which is no small feat. Also, I don't care how impractical it is, Emmys for all the five Roys please.
This show goes in the right direction every. single. time. I thought there was no way they could keep Kendall alive but that is why Jesse Armstrong is writing this show and not me.
This show just keeps on getting better and better. I have no idea where it's going but im excited for it.
kendall: I was thinking of hitting up some bojack guys
me: what is this, a crossover episode?
Straight lightning. Electric in a way only this show is able to pull off. Nobody says what they’re thinking and yet the audience knows exactly what’s happening.
Good lord.
You need to be a killer, he was told. And so a killer he became.
Series best so far, thanks in no small part to Brian Cox's showstopping turn. Considering Cox played Hannibal Lector, he manages to be so scarier here. "Boar on the FLOOR!!"
And after the whole episode's grotesqueness, the final line to Shiv (who's blissfully unaware of what happened) "It's time to bring you in" is so damn sinister.
Holy cow. Show stopping. A pool of vitriol and absolute disgust. How this series is making me empathetic towards any of these characters is quite literally a stroke of genius. Holy hell.
WTF did I just WATCH? Offing a lead cast member to be "edgy" is so common place these days that it's become cliched and passé. But THIS? Strong move, indeed.... Pretty ballsy..... But you better deliver with the follow through though, or you just lost your audience.
