The lead actor's acting was so painful to watch I had to leave the theater after 1 hour.
This movie could have been great. It's a waste of time.
Psssssssssssst...hey... don't listen to these children.. go ahead..push play.. it's a good one when you've seen everything but still want some scifi background noise while you eat your kids Valentine's day candy
I think this must be the highest quality made Australian film I've seen. Tense, doesn't reach too far into the unbelievable and a bunch of amusing characters too. Loved it.
Pretty happy that they picked this up for a second season, some of the episodes in the later ark of the first season have been pretty stellar.
Made my day knowing there is going to be a 3rd season!!!
I might be a minority here - but I’m enjoying it! Sure, it’s no way as good as The Boys. But I enjoy the slow pace and the depth of character building. I’m just hoping Netflix doesn’t cancel after this rough start.
You have seen this movie before a few times. don't bother watching it one more time here.
I'm getting really pissed the only person who's remained suspicious of this damn spy is that rando guard outside her door.
Here's to you, dude actually doing you job!
Great movie. I don't see why this movie has only 45% rating here on trakt. A rating somewhere in the 70% would be more fair in my opinion. I enjoyed watching it.
This movie does have its faults. The story is not entirely true to the original poem, its been Hollywoodnized. But really, how many people can say they read the original 12 centuries old poem before they saw the movie? The main character Beowulf lacked emotion and character and only in the end when he is dying on the beach do we get to see a glimmer of emotion when he realized he killed the only son he had.
Still if you compare this movie to the other one made by Robert Zemeckis earlier with the same technique called Motion capture, The Polar Express than this one is better in my opinion.
What a terrible movie. There was nothing funny or remotely interesting here. Just a lot of bad acting.
I went into this movie expecting cheesy... But it blew my expectations out of the water.
Some claustrophobic scary ass shittt mannnnnnn...in there..with them THINGS running around?!...you can count me out!
One of the best horror films I know: thrilling, brutal, fast and unpredictable!
One of the best Pirate themed movies in a while and one of the better adventure movies in general! But it REALLY could've done without the penguins. o_O
Not a sequel, not a reboot, but a wonderful tribute to the franchise that we all fell in love with so many years ago.
What an utter waste of time. This movie is not Sci-fi. It’s just an excuse to keep Alicia Sylverstone employed.:joy:
Love Ray Donovan! In the absence of another season, this will have to do, and after watching it, it does brilliantly. Loose ends tied up, mostly, still leaves you wondering what will become of Brigette, Bunchy and Terry, and if Ray survives. Being the tough cookie he is, I sincerely hope so, and somehow gets away with it and makes a better life. Can't help but love Ray, despite his flaws. Liev Shreiber, absolutely perfect as Ray, cannot imagine anyone else coming close. One of the best series ever.
I'd been watching the series since 2013. It was a huge disappointment when it was canceled in 2020, as well as a joy after Liev Schreiber had announced a film due to the fans' demand. We invested in Ray Donovan a lot of our time through these years, and definitely deserved to see how a story ends. So the movie is like a gift. A lot of thanks to everyone who made it happen.
You know, Ray Donovan is one of these antiheroes of modern TV, but what made him interesting is that he wanted to get better, instead of Tony Soprano, Dexter Morgan and.many others. I deeply liked his character development through the series. Liev Schreiber is gold in this role. Even though the show lasted so long, probably even longer than needed, I will miss it.
If the aim was to make an iteration worse than all previous releases then they were successful.
Terrible writing, shoddy special effects, and boring action. How did this ever get made?
What should you do when you see somebody fire a rocket launcher at a monster 5 inches in front of you? Stay put and duck a bit, of course! WTF
Milla Jovovich read this shitty script and saw the cast and she was like "HELLO NO!"
It’s what you would expect from a video game movie. It throws a few iconic scenes at you, but overall misses the mark. Wait until you can stream it for free and don’t expect much.
If you want to waste your time and money, watch this movie.
This is the simplest comment and reaction that I can describe this movie in brief.
I really regret that I chose to watch this movie and waste a day of the weekend on something that is not worth it.
Back in High School me and buddies played better scripted Resident Evil games in our backyard than this mess. I mean the f... did they do to my boy Leon? other characters also barely recognizable. its bad everything about this movie is a direct insult to the Resident Evil games. Damn even the old movies were better
What? No Milla Jovovich? Wouldn't be the same.
Great visuals and a weighty presentation cannot make up for the total lack of a story outside of Gaia's one note message. There are the building blocks of something great here, but with no narrative to glue it all together.
Carel Nel's rant on modern life echoes those of Willem Defoe in The Lighthouse. Barend and Stefan's situation shows shades of Deliverance. Cinematography of the lush yet frightening flora triggers memories of Midsommar. The monster design is almost lawsuit worthy with how much it pulls from The Last of Us, but the practical effects on display are a welcome change of pace to the CG plastered scenes of its peers. It just needed that final layer to bring it all together.
That's not to say Gaia is a bad movie, far from it, but what it leaves on the table almost outweighs the final product we were given. Fans of slow burns, eco-horror and gore will be satiated, just don't look for a deeper meaning behind the shallow, albeit gorgeous outer layer.
Yeah, I am going to miss it, but what a way to go out. I didn't want it to end, but I am absolutely happy with how it did.
Nikita is DEFINITELY better than The CW. Should've lasted longer.
This show will be one of my favorites for ever. I really miss it :(
