An incredible (pun intended) action packed and humorous movies that still holds up.
A good family movie to watch.
A good family movie that is just as good as the first one.
A fun movie for the whole family.
A classic, but if you are expecting the iconic looking Jason, then this is not it. But it does give further back story of Jason and digs a little deeper into his past. Overall it is a great slasher movie typical of the 80s.
This is the start of it all. If you are going into this expecting the iconic Jason, well, I am sorry. But this is the start of it and helps develop the character for the fiture movies. I always enjoyed FT13 growing up and have seen this before. However, honestly, this is a good slasher film. When you keep out of your mind of wanting to see the iconic Jason, this film is really great towards the end and actually gives you more background for the future films. This is the foundation for Jason and you need to keep that in mind. Also, this movie is 40 years old, so yes the acting may be okay at best, and the effects are cheesy, but if it was 1980, this would actually be quite the norm. But in terms of story and a nice plot twist towards the later half of the movie, it will always be a classic.
It was decent. The movie starts pretty slow, and at times just seemed to be slow. But the later half was both interesting yet jumbled. I felt some scenes were just thrown in that I think could of been more explored. I just felt some parts were added in just to make the story seem more fluid but that was it, some things I think could of been more explained in better detail. For an indie film the acting was pretty good, the visual effects were good, and in general it was a decent film, could of been better, but it could of been worse.
A good family movie, I personally like it more than the first.
Animation was gorgeous, the story was okay, heartwarming, but was still okay.
Probably one of my most favorite Disney movies, hands down.
A good family movie that many adults may find funny too.
I gave it a five because there is a nice twist at the end, if it wasn't for that, I'd probably would of gave it a three.
Another one in the books.
It was okay, it is funny at times and other times it was cringy. But it is right in the middle, not that great but not that bad.
This one is slower paced, but still is a classic in it's own right.
A good movie to check out in case you have not yet.
The start of start of the film seemed promising. It was flowing pretty good towards about the second half of the film and then it just flatlined. The characters (except maybe the dad) were really hard to grow attached to and even then the dad was a character I was not really committed to. The characters were flat and basic and the oldest daughter kept irritating me. Most characters in a movie have some sort of character change (usually for the better, sometimes bad) but she was just annoying. Then in the end she finally started to suddenly care. Plus the word suddenly is also the key word for the last ten minutes of the movie. Everything happened so fast and felt very rushed, like the movie knew it needed to explain more so let's just cram it all in ten minutes or less. The ending was in my opinion bad. I mean you can tell how it was going to end with most of the characters, but just throwing a sort of plot twist that really wasn't a twist was bad. At first the film seemed really promising. The acting was fairly good and the visuals were good too, but the characters were so flat and there were so many loop holes and unexplained answers that makes you a little irritated in the end.
It was really slow paced and was just "meh."
The pace was pretty good, but the want to be plot twist at the end to me made it "meh." For most of the movie I was thinking giving it a 7 or 8 rating, but the ending just tried to cram too much plot twist and information that should of probably of been introduced earlier in the film.
