I REALLY don't get why most people didn't like it. In my opinion it really worked quite neatly
Did you all give high ratings to make a point? Half way through the movie I could not keep my eyes open. Seriously... 8.7 / 10 in IMDB. Crazy!
Fantastic episode but I thought the way they handled Beck's death was slightly rushed. She just got grabbed by Joe and then it was suddenly 4 months later
One of the best superhero movies of all time! Zack Snyder brought the comic book experience to the big screen! A+
Epicness defined. The movie is everything a comics fan would want. Yes, it is the first comic book movie that was actually made for the fans of the comics. Eisenberg's take on Luthor is spot on, Affleck as Batman is plainly brutal, and awesome. Gadot's little development was enough for us to see the Amazonian Warrior in it's full glory. Cavill delivered an amazing performance as a real conflicted Superman.
finally, an episode that actually lives up to the name What If, rather than just gender swapping or race swapping a character
A frustratingly slow opening. It sets up a mystery but really takes its time and feels like it has a few too many characters right now. Nobody seems very friendly, either. I hope it gets more interesting and we'll actually be given answers.
Yeah, it's alright.
It tries to hit the same beats as "The First Avenger," but it's nowhere near as good. The fast pace is a nice change from the slow burn of the recent MCU series, and the art style is BEAUTIFUL when it's static but a little ugly in motion. The characters seem to be 3D, but the effects are 2D, so it's nice to see that Spider-Verse left an impact on the animation industry. The montage had terrible music and was worse than "The First Avenger," in my opinion—I prefer that one all the way!
Although I will say, I don't buy Peggy and Steve's romance because these characters are different multiverse versions, so the emotional beats don't land. I also didn't feel anything when Steve "died," so that's a bummer. Otherwise, I appreciate the background art during the credits, and I think this show is a nice distraction. Also, there's a scene where Captain Carter saved people—yes!
It's a solid half-hour of entertainment!
SCORE: 6/10
