If you want lots of action in a war movie, you will love this movie because 80% of it is WAR! Definitely is in my top 5 of the best movies.
Apart from all the action, this true story is shocking and sad, this guys should have had more recognition at the time. The phrase "Older men declare war. But it is the youth that must fight and die" fits perfectly in this movie.
Just wanted to watch the film because of Frank Grillo and definitly worth watching because of him! What an amazing actor!!! The film is not amazing but it's good. Frank Grillo makes the movie worth watching, because in the overall the story is good but the cast don't match the type of story, could be a lot better with different cast.
Frank Grillo & Anthony Mackie are the ones that makes the film good, so i recommend just because of them!
I would say that the movie is a little bit short because they rush some things in the story that they could go more in deep and get more not just from Frank and Anthony but from Christian Cooke for example. The film starts already in a rush because of the crime and everything is fast and you don't know what is happening and who did what to who and who is the bad guy or who are the good guys, is a little messy, they could improve more, but i get it what they tryed to do, i just think they could show more in detail about the characters, for example the past from Mateo (Christian Cooke) and Abe (Frank Grillo).
The film is just 1h and 10 minutes, and more 10 minutes for the credits... If the film was around 2 hours would be enough to go in detail with some characters. I'm not hating, i liked the movie thats why im sayng that, because i would love to see more!
This documentary is so sad... From the trailer, you get a perspective but what you will find is a lot more than just what you see on the trailer.
It's sad, horrible and heartbreaking because it's not just the guy that lost the memory but his brother too because he lives the story twice. One of the worst things, if not the worst, his lose your memory. I can't imagine that basically, you lose your identity. This man not only lose his memory but when he finds out what his looking for it's f***ing heartbreaking for both of them.
The conversion between them it's touching.
This movie is awesome! The story is really good but the best of the movie is Mads Mikkelsen and the mix of vibrant colors and dark colors! Definitely worth watching, i give it 8/10!!! I will watch again.
I found the movie quite similar to Taken... ok I'm exaggerating but in terms of the whole point of a 'father' trying revenge is kinda the same objective. Btw Taken is my favorite film ever. I liked this movie, is different from the other Rambo's movies but that's not bad! Rambo is a character and now he is 'old' so now he is enjoying his life and he uses his experience to get his revenge and I know the final of the movie is kinda 'too heroic' but Rambo, in general, is 'too heroic'... that's the point of Rambo. For 1h30m is very enjoyable and the final is frantic. Btw I loved to see the sentimental side of Rambo. 10/10 for me.
Actually the film was very enterteinment and funny, i'm not into comedies movies that much but this one have a story, mistery and the funny parts are not forced to be funny but funny in a natural way. Really enjoyed.
The documentary is very well structured, it's not boring with a lot of explanations or moments that can make you sleep, its fast, concise and show us the reality this men passes through. Basically they are there because a road would be built in korengal and that road woud be very important for the population there, so they could have a easier route up toward the Pech River Valley, and their job was to protect the people there.
But this makes me thinking... i have so much respect for these guys, because these men that lay their life on the line. Its just a simple thing, its a road! Its simple for me and for people like us that lives in civilized countries... and this man can die, and some of them die, because of this...
Another thing that is beautiful and shows the brotherhood is that the name Restrepo comes from one friend of them that died in combat and 2 months after his death they pushed into the valley and established a new outpost, so they name it Restrepo. This outpost was crucial, because it changed the dynamic in the entire valley.
Overall this documentary is a must watch, 10/10! After this one, KORENGAL is the next to watch!
R.I.P: Vimoto - Restrepo - Rougle - and all the other men!
I'm 23 years old and i have never watched the original classic from 94, in general i didn't watch the Disney world or animation movies when i was a kid. After hearing a lot about this movie and have watched the trailler, i decided to go to the cinema because of the quality of the graphics of the movie! I wasn't only surprised with the quality of the graphics but with the story itself... is touctching, i wasn't expecting the emotions i had watching this. The story itself gives a lot to think about, can teatch values to the kids, but to the grown ups can toutch on their hearts and make them to think in some actions. Was an very good surprise the movie!
Not bad but at the same time is not the type of movie that i was expecting... From the trailler seemed to look much better than it actually is. Some funny parts, not to crazy but i would say the film from the middle to the end gets a little bit boring. In general you got a good story/jokes and some good plot twists. Deserves the try
The first Hangover was the only film that i've watched the all credits... now this is the second one! I like the fact that they have repeat the exact same storyline.
Alan is really amazing, that character is so dumb ahah Him and Phil, are completely opposite of each other and Alan is trying so hard to be like him, that is so funny ahah
I will never forget chow's dick <3
The only time that i've watched the all credits of an film! Amazing film, this is a real comedy movie!!! Love it!
Not bad, its reasonable. I've a good time watching and kinda funny. You don't get a lot of laugh moments, some of them are a little bit funny, i would say in a scale of 5/10. Have a decent story behind although the fight between both parents is kind of stupid, but its a comedy movie so doesn't matter that much. I will not watch again and i just recommend if you don't have any better choice or want to watch something but don't have anything in mind, so just try it.... maybe you like eheh
For those who want lots of action in a war movie, this movie is not for you. I really liked the movie, you get some parts with action, especially at the last 30 minutes with some drama... Its not just war, that was why i liked a lot the movie because you get to see the diversity of tasks that are submitted to the combat corps given the situation in the battlefield, where you will get to see the brotherhood between them, that's beautiful to see. Its a solid and amazing film, i recommend it! My rating is 8/10!
I have to admit that i've cried a little bit at the end... the documentary is concise and short but very well structured. Show us the process that a person goes by to become a marine in a very concise way and explain the various types of situations they could pass in the future. Make us think: "would I be able to get through this?" or "if it was me..." and this makes us admire these people and thank them for passing through it. I cried at the end of the documentary when they reunited with their families. 10/10!
Probably was just me but i give it a 1/10. Very confusing... Okay i like the idea to interact with the movie, but this movie was kind weird
i would say that the acting and cinematography were very good, 8/10 for me, but the story is kind confusing... it's interesting but i end the movie with a lot of questions, so i think the overall is kind good but could be a lot better. I give a 7
