how could a film that bases an entire storyline around a Ratatouille joke not be absolutely fantastic?
I went for the laughs and left the movie theater with an existential crisis. I loved it <3
Extremely unrealistic movie! I mean who would choose the real world over Barbie world
I swear that Daniels have a direct line to whatever it is that I seek in movies. Long time since I laughed and cried so hard and all together at the movies (probably since swiss army man). Will have to watch more, of course... but WOW.
Saw it at the lone screening that is happening in my city, it was packed but, it's a bit of a bummer that more people won't catch this movie in theaters. Especially on IMAX. No matter...
I feel with this movies like Abbed's dad at the end of Community 1x02. Amazing and I REALLY can't wait to see what they do next!
Two :v: hour waste of time from my perspective.
Good world building, I would've preferred it the Pokemons looked more like animals and less like cartoons, but this Roger Rabit approach will do. Also, decent cinematography and score. But, the script’s complete ass (conveniences, unnecessary exposition, uninteresting characters without development, extremely predictable storyline etc.) aside from some of Pikachu’s snarky lines, so you’ll probably get bored at some part.
4.5/10
I really think some people don't understand the history behind the "history" that are watching at all. Many people 'see', but not 'observe'.
This series have a lot of connotations, such politics and social, from a showdown with a dictator; unto to release of real feelings. Almost all characters have a full evolution of her personality... even Naga hahaha.
At first I agree looks like a little child's series, but think is a masterpiece in all respects. I recommend this series to all public, seen or not any other series of the Avatar's universe.
PS. James Cameron's 'Avatar' not included. xD
I am a huge fan of both graphic novel and this movie. They are both unique, funny and visiualy pleasing. Scott Pilgrim VS the World may just be one of my most rewathed movies.
Thought it was really good, wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. Both the comedy and plot landed for me. The 4th wall breaking and ending were both a bit weird, but I still thought it was a solid movie.
Between XXX: The Return of Xandar Cage, Riddick, and now this, Vin Diesel is becoming the king of movies that feel like they belong in the 2000’s.
Nevertheless, I’ve got to give it to the guy: for someone who can’t act, he has managed to build a very respectable career for himself.
Here’s another one of his thunderously boring action movies, including the poorly done action scenes you’d expect to come with it.
The plot is as pedestrian and generic as it gets, and the dialogue should’ve been much more snappy and fun.
Even the actors who I normally love are fucking terrible in this (looking at you, mr. Kebbell).
Some points for ... the cinematography and visuals, I suppose, but that shouldn’t be the bar here guys.
3/10
aight. I'm watching again.
absolutely loved it!
This was a lazy pointless remake of the original movie it was very fitting in the movie they made a point to mention long sequels to movies nobody asked for this movie fits perfectly. This is a retread of the original movies story recon and everything. I had zero expectations for this film and knew this would be no were near the classic original in terms of quality the jokes in this new movie were bad the woke sjw politics were not nessesary and just annoying. This is a insult to the classic original and shouldn't have happened. The barber shop scene was the only good sequence till the white jewish character started saying we are being taken over by nazis a dig at trump obviously. I am not a trump supporter at all and find this sequence annoying political bs. The way akeem had a son was a stupid lazy way to recon the original and continue the story. The new actors were annoying I don't recommend this trash to anyone the movie is predictable woke trash.
I don't get all the hate for this episode... It was silly, absurd, over-the-top...which is something Doom Patrol has embraced since the very beginning. The completely insane stuff in this show and "singing" is where people draw the line? I thought the episode was a blast. I agree with what someone else said, one's enough...but the one was silly and fun, just like everything else in this silly show.
Brenden Fraiser's jerk-off song? I mean...LOL....
Crispin Glover is back as Mr. World!!!!
Meanwhile the journey of Aang is about a human being turning into an Avatar,
Korra's journey is about an Avatar turning into a human being. Just as brilliant and as incredible as The Last Airbender. Unfortunelly, some peopole does not sees it that way.
I don't even know why do I keep watching this show... It became ridiculously boring 3 seasons ago...
Much better than the first season. I like the focus on one character and their story while all the other characters throw little jokes here and there. Fits the 11 minutes format way better this way. Can't wait for season 3.
Just an illusion!
What an illusion! Where's my time? My fuckin' time! Give me back my time!
This is a shit, not a film. Honestly, and - even if it doesn't seem - kindly, N.
I know the plot of the original story is problematic for a lot of folks, unrealistic in many ways, but it felt more like an analogy than an attempt at a concise depiction of "what if". This serial adaptation appears to try to keep a lot of the original premise, while making the story a bit more coherent to a traditional narrative. While it might risk making both types of viewers (conceptual and practical) unhappy, I think I'm going to continue watching and see if they can pull it off.
Excellent show. The first season was primarily a murder mystery then morphed into a revolution. Can't wait to see what the 2nd season brings. Even though I always suspend my disbelief when it comes to science fiction shows, I still had a little bit of a hard time with the seemingly inconsistencies with the size of the train. Some of the cars look and feel normal size. While other cars look and feel like they're two and three times wider than a normal train car. Also, they sure seem to travel from one end of the train to the other (10 miles) very very fast. But other than that I loved the show - lol.
Wow. Lupita must have been blackmailed to be in this movie...smh. I had to Fast Forward a few minutes to make sure that was watching the same movie from the commercials. Seems to be geared towars kids but the violence seems to contradict that.....movie is just a mess
1st is better than the 2nd.
