This was not bad at all. I first started watching predicting it was going to be bad, I don't even know why. But, actually, it turned up quite good. Nice setting and plot. Great acting, in my opinion. I thought the soundtracks were freakin' good. Overall, it's nice. I personally enjoyed it.
PS: a Jottun means a giant, yes? Wonder what's the name of that creature! lol Anyways, that monster's design or whatever it is, was really good, Imho.
I was surprised by how much I liked this. I went in with low expectations of just a dumb action movie, which it still kinda is, but it is also a decent sci-fi and the action is pretty great. The beginning is a little slow but once Grey gets Stem then it picks up. Logan Marshall-Green (or better known as the Tom Hardy look-alike, Tom Hardly) does a good job here. He moves like a robot pretty well. The action is great. There are plenty of action scenes and the short runtime makes it move fast. There are a few decent laughs too. The cinematography was very interesting too. The way the camera moves in certain action scenes are really cool, it makes a normal scene stick out as something special. One of the best things was the world it set up. Modifying humans with different upgrades is really cool. The whole gun in the arm is stupid but a crazy, cool stupid and I want to see more of that. I would like a sequel.
This was like saw, but better. Or it was as good as Saw was at the time it aired, just appropriate for the changing times.
A nice movie with great acting from Haley Lu Richardson and John Cho. This needs more people watching it.
This could have been a great film, and i thought it was going to be after a good first half, but then the 2nd half went and ruined everything, very very disappointing/terrible second half in my opinion.
Decent low budget sci-fi film. This could've been a good pilot for a TV series especially with that ending.
There should of been so much more to that than it give at the ending, more on the back ground, and more on the world Itself, but other than that.. It was a sweet film, loved it, and i wonder how many times they had to write the script for that film...I think Bill Murray was behind the whole thing haha What a looper!
Very interesting concept, was definitely worth the watch, was honestly surprised that a movie filmed in 1 room with everyone standing still could be entertaining. Definitely a "Mind Game" movie similar to Cube and Exam's style.
Every frame in this film is hand painted animation. Considering there is 24 frames per second in a film, the work that must've gone into this is phenomenal. At first the animation was a little distracting from the story, because it's not the smooth flowing digital animation that we're used to from Pixar films. (It's quite flickering.) However when you get used to it, the story is gripping and very moving. Unlike most biopics, this one demonstrates that we can never really know anybody, because everyone has a different opinion.
Twisty turny thriller kept me guessing. Worth a watch, but not the night before your next hospital appointment.
Thankfully non-exploitative account of the months leading up to the live on air suicide of Christine Chubbuck. A sad story, brought to life with a sensitive performance from Hall.
Fantastic cinematography and sound design, but I wasn't a fan of the glacial pace and abstract wrapper around a pretty basic story.
Much better than I expected. And much more disturbing - particularly at the beginning.
