You're a dick.
That's true... you got any beer?
Haha this Stick guy; his characteristics remind me of Caine from the 70s TV series, Kung Fu.
Matt is a good man. Just like in the real world, the media can make anyone look bad. I wonder when we'll eventually see him "upgrade" his outfit.
Finally getting around to seeing this Daredevil series, and I approve. It does strike a resemblance to Manhunter (1986) in terms of visual style. I like the lighting and the use of shadows with some purple and red colors. If you like this show, you'll wanna check out Arrow (on the CW) and the Hannibal series, both of which have a similar tone to them.
This is becoming like a Wizard of Oz moment.. heh
but that was a neat cover of Blind Melon's "No Rain" though, and Pulp Fiction reference
I would've eaten and finished that burger.
I like the added sci-fi/scientific element there, it reminds me of EXPLORERS (1985). Plus the chubby kid, Dustin, wore a shirt with the word "Explorer" on it. Whatever those scientists were doing with the gate in the lab gives me a POLTERGEIST (1982) sorta vibe.
Man, this one has some gnarly kills... SLICE
The first thing I noticed was the movie poster for John Carpenter's THE THING on the wall, and I knew right then and there that I was gonna be in for a treat.
All those guys waiting in line like it's Black Friday; Let's see what happens when the door busts open!
Very cool editing style to see each main character's side of the story and how it all ties in together towards the end; It reminds me of a recent Simpsons episode that did the same style, or even JUON: The Grudge (early 2000s)!
This must've been made for the Halloween week as the story is set in a Mexican village where they celebrate the dead (forgot what that festival is called). Riley now learns more that she needs to know about the Connors, and I so hope nothing happens to her.
That bad guy just keeps getting closer and closer to the Connors. Luck is definitely on their side this time. By this point, that Riley girl is pretty much just the only reason I'm continuing to watch this. Hopefully nothing bad will happen to her later on.
Nice to see the guys' side-off and getting their military camp experience. We see flashbacks and meet some of the pre-soldiers of the future. I liked the directing style and how it went in sync with Sarah's reading of the The Wizard of Oz, John's favorite book. It kinda hits you in the feels a bit.
This one gets deeper into Cameron's backstory. I'm guessing Alison Young, as the episode title suggests, was likely the person that Cameron's T model design was based on. Her continued glitching must be bringing some memories or data, possibly meshing with the original source, Alison's.
I also noticed the psychiatrist that was having a session with Cameron/Alison was wearing a Cambodian/Khmer Apsara shirt, which was really cool. I'll have to take a screenshot of that to show to my Cambodian friends.
My goodness, does Riley looks so damn good in this one. John, you are one lucky son of gun.
It's a shame about Charlie's wife. He should not have stuck around. It's just what happens when people get involved.
haha, so Cameron and Sarah goes to work at this nuclear plant to find out more info about Skynet. Of course, we then find Terminators there. The environment set and radiation areas remind me of Homer Simpson's workplace.
And man, John Connor be attracting good-looking ladies at school. I wouldn't mind having some random girl at school come up to me for a chat like that. I'll have to find out the actress who plays her (Riley) because she's very pretty. <3
Started season 2 a couple days ago because how can you not after that cliffhanging explosion? Cameron get defected and glitchy and goes after John until they reset her. So now the Connors have that to watch out for.
I also remember seeing that boss lady Delilah or what's her name in the show's commercials. She seems like a bad guy, and turns out she is, and that's not the only thing crazy about her.
catching episodes of Roadies right now on Showtime and I hear the Futurecop! song, "Into Your Heart" conveniently placed for the crazed fan; I also recognize the actress for Kelly (Imogen Poots <3) I remember her from some good horrors such as 28 Weeks Later, Chatroom, and the Fright Night remake
That was a decent opening fight scene; directing style reminds me of Bryan Fuller's HANNIBAL series
haha anyone else notice the very slight iZombie crossover/reference there.. no? okay.
Fun to see how Barry meets Kara in this little crossover episode
You can't escape what's inside you until it is outside of you.
That quicksand/mud scene reminds me of an X-Files episode involving quicksand
"Your breath smells like 'Don't Drink That!'" -Ralph
haha "Buzz Milk" - twice the sugar, twice the calcium!
also, LOL @ Lay-Z Rider retro 80s action movies-inspired couch gag!
mmm I'd like me some of that Yo! Gurt
haha a Kristen Bell and Liv Moore connection, eh? Not long now 'til we get a visual appearance of Kristen Bell/Veronica Mars on #iZombie!
Man, I'd be so furious myself if someone were to mess with my wife and unborn child.
aw man, just when I thought it was gonna be a pair of co-ed agents there, Mulder/Skully + Doggett/Harrison, it didn't last. I'll be referring to this episode later on if there are any indication in the new miniseries. haha and oh yeah, Mulder and his Spitz sunflower seeds and Nokia phones make appearance in this one
Very good episode! I assume the title Deadalive refers to the 1992 Peter Jackson zombie film, Dead Alive (aka Braindead). It was really cool to see Mulder in the Hellraiser state in the past few episodes, and then "zombie-like" mode.
Was that the kid from Are You Afraid Of The Dark? He looks like the one who played in the Tale of Jake and the Leprechaun.
