Uhm, why did old Scott and Old Ramona break up?
This looks like a pilot that’s pretty good.
The movie Signs stole the whole water burns aliens BS from Zim!! The whole sequence where Zim throws a water balloon using all of the water from the planet was incredibly well done.
I don't think a Marvel series has pulled me in as hard as this one has. This is something truly written for comic fans. Some plot elements work and some don't but the overall stories WORKS. I am so there for season 2. Great set up.
And to quote my favorite mutant: Oh dear.
The A plot of the show was great but the 10 other sub-plot just felt scattered and sort of like lets invent some things for all the other cast to do. I find this show works better when only focusing on two or three characters. Still this episode hit a lot of great emotional moments but overall it just felt like plot housekeeping. Keep some story threads alive but don't give them the focus they might otherwise observe.
This is what happens when you write a show expecting to get cancelled. You throw it all and throw it hard!
I like these high concept episodes but no clue what the ending meant.
This whole show is an Omega Level threat!!!!!!!
Wow. This episode had everything and was able to pace the different storylines so much better than past episodes. I was glued. I loved the kiss between Gisha and David. So sweet. The best writing of the season.
Cute episode and we finally see Bluey all grown up. But does this mean the show is over? And who's kid is that??????
So I’m pretty good action in this one and a lot of Star Wars sound effects.
The closest we will get to a Bluey movie. It was pretty awesome. I'm glad they are staying put.
Kind of a hopeless episode.
It was just wrapped up too neatly.
100% FIRE! I can't even review this because so MANY things happened in this ONE episode. I thought this was going to be a little love triangle(s) episode but this? If you've watch the episode you know what I mean.
Mojo was always on the nose but I'm glad they brought him back and it was great to see Jubilee actually have a romance that works. I thought the old version of Jubilee sounded more like the old Jubilee. Turns out that because she was voiced by the original voice actress. Ha! Nice touch. The Storm romance feels more forced but that kind of stuff happened a ton in the original series so it didn't feel misplaced. Overall, I good episode with some humor and fleshing out the side stories.
Gorgeous but there was a time jump in there that I didn’t understand.
Well, I know they wanted to do something "different" but at the end I felt like they completely missed what Cowboy Bebop was all about. And that "teaser" for Ed at the end? WTF! The tone shift sucked.
The ending was more about Julia and Vicious then about the Bebop crew and truthfully Julia and Vicious were just pilot devices in the original. Vicious had zero personality and Julia was more like a memory for Spike then an actual person.
It just so hard to watch this show without comparing it to the original espcially when they so desperately want to be compared. And at the end they completely killed to the team off because then season 2 they can get back together? You are missing the point of the original again.
I hope Nathan can make it back to his parents. I felt really bad for both Jeans having to suffer what Sinister has done to them. Beast was on point this episode. Great episode.
Okay, I was a little blah about the writing of the first episode as I felt things tied up a little too neatly at the end, but this episode...wow!!! This was great! The writers threw so many things at us, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. They hit hard with the intolerance of "normal" people towards those who are different, and at the end I fully expected Magneto to squash the UN tribunal or at least the assassin, but he pulled back at the last moment (I really did think he was going to drop them from high altitude). Also, Magneto is immune to Rogue's power? That's news to me. Can't blame Gambit for being hurt. Rogue gone? And now the baby Nathan is here and a 2nd Jean? So much going on. What a great show!!
X-Men was one of my favorites when I was young, and it was hard to catch all the episodes on Fox Saturday mornings. Eventually, many years later, I was able to watch the complete series in order on Disney Plus.
Now, X-Men '97 is back, and wow, it's like I'm 20 years old again. They pick up right after the end of the series, with the X-Men prepared for a change after the death of Professor X, and man, does this show still have that '90s vibe to it, and I appreciate that. It's not a reboot but a continuation.
It was great seeing Trask and Master Mold; however, they were taken down a bit too easily, but I understand they wanted to move the plot along. I am so happy they are returning the anti-mutant themes of the first season, which I felt was always the strongest of the series. Wolverine is back to his mopey self, pining over Jean. Cyclops is a ballbuster. All the characters are spot on.
The first episode is mostly setting the stage and the stakes. I felt this episode did a good job of that, and I'm looking forward to where things are going. Obviously, Cyclops and Jean's baby will be the focal point, but this is a Saturday morning kids' cartoon at its heart, so I'm going in expecting writing of the sort. And that's exactly what I want.
Clever finale but not good. Maybe if they’d gone with less fan service the ending wouldn’t feel so forced. At the end of the last episode I thought we’d get some real drama about dealing with her problems but instead they punted the whole plot for gags and it kind of made everything up to that point feel pointless. Oh well, at least they tried.
I just noticed the dump owner was drinking from a coffee mug with “Mulcho Man” on it.
Definately savings something for next season this last episode felt more like filler than actually leading to something but maybe I am expecting too much from a show that wants badly to subvert all expectations.
I feel like the rest of the show is just an excuse to allow them to make this episode.
A little long winded but what a great episode.
I so want to ride on a water spirit.
This episode explained a lot without explaining anything at all. At least this was the first time we are actually getting some backstory on why what is happening is happening so … that’s good.
Sadest episode so far. I still don’t think the end of the world would be this cordial.
