These types of movies are usually a disappointment but not this one. The writing is good and the dialogue snappy most of the time. If the characters weren’t well acted this would not have worked. By the end I was actually rooting for them.
I loved the time period and finally aging Indy to match Harrison Ford's true age. Even though this doesn't rise to the action pieces of the first three films it still is an enjoyable and well made movie. The Indy films have never taken themselves too seriously so as long as you eat your popcorn and just let the story go on it a good time. I especially enjoyed the ending. Harrison Ford emotional depth is so powerful and the sweet callback between him and Karen Allen was sweet and felt like something the characters would actually do. I felt the movie is finally going to let Indy retire in peace. There will never be another Indiana Jones!
Why didn't they just animate the whole comic? This was awesome.
I mean, it had good moments and some fairly good acting in spots but overall it just felt like almost nothing mattered and every obstable could be overcome with a magic workaround. There was barely any permanence to any decision except finally putting an end the Jan Foster romance which FINALLY got a pay off here but was wasted because it had been left on the shelf for a decade and I guess that is not the fault of this film. More than anything this movie shows that the Marvel Universe that felt so meticulously planned out in Phase 1 no longer has that long range vision and thats too bad.
My 6 year old and I just watched this movie together. He loved it!!
This was a lot more fun then I expected it to be.
I have childhood memories of watching this Disney made for TV movie but I sort of mixed it up in my mind with Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park which was just as bad but had a better budget and well ... KISS.

Pretty fun but was hard getting used to Donald Duck with black legs.
Just the right mix of goofy, magical, action and world building with a good family story. I liked it.
A nice surprise. Great music and plenty of gags. Trivia timer was real short.
Interesting little movie I found on netflix but visiting the website for it it looks like this first "cycle" is all that will ever be produced. Too bad because it looked interesting. I hope Frank enjoys his time as a caterpillar.

I’ve never seen this movie before and I was surprised that even with the sci-fi angle how anti-war this movies’s perspective is. As battle after battle takes place the movie takes the time to show the immense human cost of mothers killed in front of their children and refugees having to fight to protect both the young and old who can’t protect themselves. The main character suffers many breakdowns and his mother laments a children who wouldn’t hurt a fly now killing a solider in front of her. Deep and painful stuff. I wish today more movies took the time to show the painful costs of war.
I am still so frustrated with the sequels following this movie and how they squandered such a great set up. The chemistry between Han Solo, Finn, and Rey worked great and it was completely forgotten in the next movie. The reunion with Han and Luke would have been great. Instead we are left with a unsatisfying reboot of the franchise. This was a pretty good movie that understood what it wanted to do.
I loved this movie as a kid and it doesn't disappoint 40 years later and a true Disney classic. Its very much a live action cartoon but some really beautiful shots in that classic Disney style. Everyone should watch this movie at least once.
Started out pretty intense, lost some of that energy in the middle but it was sweet ending and not a bad time travel movie.
Crikey! I know this is movie set in philly and the actors for the most part stick to the philly accents but its funny to hear their Australian accents come out over and over.

This movie reminds me of another disaster movie called "2012". The plot is full of constant climaxes to the point where none of them seem to matter. The family moments are nicely done and the effects are impressive but overall the movies just seems to go on and on until you are begging for some kind of ending.
Glad I finally watch this. It was even better than I expected. Great movie.
