I really enjoy where this show takes me, and how it inspires me to drift out my own reality.
I like what this show, specifically this episode had to say about multiverse hopping, and living/stealing the supposed better life of the alter version of you is living. That is while it may be better, its not you, its not yours. Your experiences, your quirks, all those things that bring you to the point you are at now are you. While you be the same in general ways that you maybe alter versions of yourself, the fact is that you are not the same. His expectation vs reality moment hit him in the nuts and he did not like it one bit.
I said from the start, this will be a rare example where the show is better than the book. This episode confirmed it, at least in my opinion. Thankfully Blake's contract only gave him full control over episodes 1-4, because now we're seeing what actual writers can do with the story.
Without getting into spoiler territory, this deviates from the source material with a number of interesting twists and additions. I find myself looking forward to the remaining episodes more than I expected.
The one thing that confused me is, after finally finding the box in the snow storm by hitting the top of it with the sticks, how they managed to dig out all the snow from around it to allow themselves to get back inside? Surely, with so much snow, even the inside would have been full seeing as they left the door open?
These "smart people" are so frustratingly dumb. It's just... AAAAAAAA!!!
A multimillion dollar company, with a team of several people working on the same project, yet only ONE of them knows how to operate the box? Riiiight...
Also, I really wish they'd stop with the Nintendo Switch finger snap every time they swap realities, it's getting terribly annoying, by now.
All reviews or comments on this film should start with stating what a phenomenal director Sean Durkin is. What he is able to pull out of his actors, the expert lighting and mood, every little detail is top of its class.
I don't know anything about wrestling and this isn't a movie about wrestling, it is a greek tragedy and misery biopic. So many great performances here to call out an individual, but Zac Effron blacks out and turns in an all-time performance here. Absolutely stunning across the board, i can't keep thinking about the entire thing.
Richard Reed Parry absolutely murders the score here too.
I will follow Durkin to the ends of the world after this, Martha Marcy May Marlene, and The Nest.
Harris Dickinson is going to be talked about in best actor circles in the coming years.
"Tonight, I walk with my brothers."
Wow.
I went into this blind, not knowing the true story behind it. So, my experience was a Roller Coaster ride of emotions, from shock to being devastated.
This is the best performance I have ever seen from Zac Efron. What the 2017 film Good Time did for Robert Pattinson, is what The Iron Claw does for Efron, and I hope this is a sign of a new and exciting phrase for him. The High School Musical days and the pretty boy image are behind him now.
A24 did this movie dirty this award season. I know awards should not matter, but it would be nice.
Pretty much a perfect finale to the series, some pacing issues in the first half but otherwise a strong episode.
This show really is like 10x better with Mike in it.
"Let me tell you something else. My whole life I've done what I think is right, but there's always someone somewhere who hates me for it, because they think I'm breaking the rules. Well, rules aren't right or wrong." -Harvey
Harvey in handcuffs! my heart!
The best episode since Mike left. Laughed so much too
I think Katrina is the secret protagonist of the show, she's the one who had the most meteoric rise in the whole series by her own merit (looking at you, Donna)
Great start of season but... I found it odd that a military truck in the US would have containers bearing a large label "PETROL" since its called gas in most of America. Furthermore, military vehicles all use deisel not petrol. Perhaps the writers are all European.
It's not a surprise that with Mike in the episode, it's immediatly more interesting than the previous ones. I know that I would enjoy the rest of the show much more if he had stayed.
Can't these guys follow the rules for a little while? Or just stop fighting Faye? I admire their fight though.
"I've had to downplay my masculnity in front of Harvey for years." -good line
"don't let me tilting at windmills pull us apart." -Harvey
The new lady calling them out on their crap is a great add to the cast. Not only is she a fantastic actress in every scene, but it creates this tension of wanting them to be off the leash while feeling bad for agreeing with what Faye says.
"For the record, you said you'd do anything to win this but you haven't crossed a single line. So, as far as I'm concerned, I'm doing my job."
Dani Rojas in da house! Wow, nice surprise!
Possibly my favorite episode so far, because it felt the most "noir". There was a lot of discussion by critics after the last episode, claiming it was a mistake to draw out the "twist" for so long. In my opinion it was exactly the right move, and if you had been paying attention, it didn't come as much of a surprise.
This is one of the best blockbusters ever. It has a ton of action, it is emotional and it makes you think. It's crazy how good the CGI is, you stop thinking about it because of how invested you get in Caesar's journey. Great supporting characters with Maurice and the new addition of Bad Ape. Woody Harrelson is fantastic as always. It will be interesting to see if Andy Serkis' name comes up for best actor next year at the Oscars. He definitely deserves some recognition for his performance.
I think its funny that nature has a ironic sense of humor. The disease that killed everyone is now turning the rest of the humans into a more primitive state. Caesar sparing the colonel was a very emotional moment. Showing he is a much more complicated character than just an ape on a revenge mission. This whole trilogy asks a lot of questions on what is humanity? A very emotional end to a great trilogy.
Rise of the Poo Flingers
Just finished watching this amazing movie. This is the best movie that i saw this year. It wins my movie of the year Oscar ;)
Great movie. Andy Serkis played his role as Ceasar perfectly.
The computer animated apes look really amazing! I forgot a few times that they were computer animated, they looked so real. But according to a few sources no real apes where used in the movie because Rupert Wyatt (the director) wanted to show humanity's mistreatment and abuse of captive apes. Apes are the heroes of this movie, and humans are the villains. And Rupert Wyatt said he couldn't imagine a worse way of undercutting that message than by using real apes in the movie's production.
Well, congratulations, Donna! You fucked over Harvey for a guy you known for less than 2 weeks.
Samantha is starting to grow on me. Katrina just got 2x hotter. I love classy, protective, and slightly aggressive women.
Umm... Can we get back to the real lawyering now? You know, the ones that are less emotional.
Not too bad of an episode... They should have gave K. Hill (SEC prosecutor) his own spin off show. I would definitely watch it.
Glad everyone marked their comments as spoilers...

The choice of music for this series is on spot.
That deposition was the cringiest thing in a looong time, in a show full of cringe.
