I don't know if I'm too dumb to this type of movies, but I thought it was shit. It is esentially a 2-hour-long artsy porn movie of Emma Stone. The plot is meh, the music is at times dissonant and badly balanced, the random scenes with fish lense felt out of character. Acting is ok, because there are some big names involved; and costumes and locations are well put and wimsy; although again, sometimes feels belonging to a different movie. Also, don't quite understood the message behind it: If you are a woman, you have to empower yourself and be a prostitute? and if you are a man, you have to be a simp like Max and let her "fly"? Maybe I'm a oversimplistic person but didn't like it
As a fan of the original movie, I had high hopes for the series.
Tragically, I’m sorely disappointed
I’m at a loss to how Disney could have made such an utter mess.
The original movie is funny, magical and told so well. It’s one of my favourite children’s fantasy movies. But, the series hasn’t captured even 10% of what made it so special and loved by so many.
There’s only two people holding the series together and they are of course Warwick Davis and Amar Chadha-Patel.
I’m also disappointed how grumpy they’ve made the character, Willow and well, everyone. Where’s the light hearted comedy?
They’ve literally ignored that unique charm the original film possessed. It’s tragic
It’s actually difficult to write this review; I know I’ve not paid attention whilst watching, due to boredom. Although at times, even when I felt I’d missed something and rewinded, it still felt as though the story hadn’t been told properly.
Is it just me? Or have they crammed in too much information in a short space of time? 20 years ish has passed and there’s numerous new characters and so many events passed, such a lot of information thrown at us incoherently. They’ve also failed to build up characters, for the audience to bond with.
This may not be a popular opinion, however I do feel they’ve tried too hard and spent too much time trying to be politically correct regarding the LGBTQ community, rather than on the actual story. The relationships come across forced, there’s no chemistry, it all feels too awkward.
I’ve no objection to them having romance in the show, between whoever, after all part of the original film’s magic was the romance between Elora’s parents. But, it was fun and enjoyable, something they failed on epically. Not only on the romance, but overall. It’s actually depressing!
I could go on and on with my disgruntled rant, there’s so much wrong with the show
Perhaps, if you’ve not had the opportunity to watch the movie, the series may not seem that bad.
However, I do implore you to find the time to watch the film, you will not be disappointed.
Fingers crossed, if there’s a second season, Disney will make a humongous effort to write the wrongs of season one and make any future seasons worthy to be called Willow.
Post-credits scene at the very end
I never thought they could make a 2 hour movie with Emma Stone in multiple sex scene's this bad, but they did.
Based on the lauded Swedish film "En man som heter Ove" (A Man Called Ove).
Holy Shit ! Dakota’s death !
It's fun. It's well paced. I had a blast.
All the negative reviews I see on RT complain about the lack of depth, which ok, it's not a super deep film, but it doesn't have to be nor is there really the time without substantially lengthening the film or taking away from the action. Personally I think they're probably just a little butt hurt at the jabs it takes at the left or not enough at the right. This is a fun, violent comedy that just roasts everyone. There is some depth in that it points out flaws in everyone, but it's mostly just a non-objective romp.
Indeed, the downfall of the antagonists was the same cause of their entire motivation for the Hunt, targeting individuals based on inaccurate information and justifying their actions by a sense of moral superiority.
at some point i wasn't sure if this was a movie or a porn clip about a threesome between a Mom , her daughter and a random guy.
Disney is worthless anymore, everything is put out there to propagandize and they have done their level best to destroy the beloved story of Peter Pan! This movie is total garbage.
Old Willis is more and more going to the bottom at every movie that he is in. Sad.
So let me get this straight lol. The same bomb have multiple different effects on people,
1 burn to a crisp just by the blast without the shockwave even reaching.
2 other persons just had to go in a damn tornado cellar.
3 stand by glass window in a normal building and nothing happens, not even a shattered piece of glass. By the way if i was that guy in the building with Strand after he told who he really was i would have killed him right there, you cant trust someone like that. I dont see that new guy lasting too long giving a selfish opportunity for Strand in the future
4 hide under a truck and get dust thrown at you lmao. This show has had some ridiculous stuff but all this hype for how many episodes talking about this nuclear warhead, yet no one seems to be worried about the air all of a sudden :man_facepalming_tone3:.
Look like a normal missile to me at the very most some kind of Incendiary warhead and not a nuclear one.
Top 3 worst things I've ever seen, including tv, movies, plays, sports, diseases, wars, and famines.
It's an imaginative and original coming-of-age drama that doesn't really live up to the fantasy it sells in the ad campaign. But once you move past that, you get a moving and tragic tale about a understandably neurotic young girl that users monsters as a coping mechanism to deflect the threats of the real world. Great cast, and an impressive performance from Madison Wolfe.
I was hoping for more than i got.
This movie takes place in a period of 3-4 days and involves about 5-10 soldiers characters. Its mostly about how they feel and what they think, and very little about actual action sequences.
It comes off better as a book or play, but unfortunately, its not so strong as a movie.
I was really looking forward for a WWI epic, but its only a small story.
Recommended if you like war movies. I wish i could give it an 8, but it's a 7.
Just more woke Hollywood crap imo worst Batman movie I have ever seen, So bad in fact I’m not even gonna purchase it to add to my DC collection.
So this happened 160+ years ago and continues to happen even today, under different guises and some f-ing inhuman filths still tacitly support these "godmen" because "that's our pratha". And anytime anyone tries to remind people that this happened in the past (this movie) or continues to happen (Aashram), these animals riot. Even the f-ing govt. is on their side. One such rapist & murderer godman keeps getting parole and got acquitted recently and still has a large following. SMH!
The very big problem with the film is that it can't decide what it wants to be. A quirky comedy? Or a serious, exciting fantasy adventure film?
It tries to be both at the same time. And in my opinion, it really goes down the tubes.
I think you need to be on LSD to watch this show. Season 3 has even more questions than it answers.
It’s like each season is a setup for the next season without proving any real answers.
FPS doenst work in movies, stop trying.
This is a special kind of awful. Do not bother. Acting is weak, 90%+ of the film is this first person POV thing that will leave your head hurting for days. The concepts are cool but the execution is just awful. The CGI itself is actually quite decent, which is even more of a shame really, as all I can imagine is piles of money being lit on fire to produce decent effects for what is, in my opinion, totally unwatchable cinema. I award this movie no points, and I am now going to find a stiff drink to hopefully erase it from my mind forever.
Blue Beatle had so much potential to be a great film. To bad they dumbed it down and turned it into a joke. The only thing missing is the gay representation which is super surprising these days.
Anyway at least it’s entertaining enough to waste 2 years of your life.
So they have 13 episodes listed for season 8. That is incorrect. The most recent episode, that aired on the 14th (episode 10) was the season finale. Just a heads up.
More revisionism from the Marxist Disney, it gets so boring.
Wow. Save your time and dont watch this. There is no magic in this movie. Changed a lot of aspects of the storie for a check list and it shows. Nothing new or good here.
For anyone who watched the show before it aired on the BBC the three episodes were merged into two when they showed it hence why there are three episodes.
Fairly poor. It's not a patch on Two Mules for Sister Sara (1970) - which, though an old film now, has at least four times as much interest and four times as much story. Don't know why they bothered with this, and I don't think you should either.
