This was not well done. I watched this because I listed to the podcast The Dropout. If you really want an in depth dive into this story, skip the movie and do the podcast.
As a Turkish person, I can verify that most of the Turkish stuff in this show is accurate. They used Turkish actors and proper Turkish dialogue which isn't something you see on every show. Even the Turkish songs are VERY well-placed.
You know it's bad when you can't switch off your brain to enjoy the mindless fun because your intelligence is being insulted at every turn.
9/10
I was totally engulfed in this film. Everything about it was well done. There was incredible character development, well-executed plot, and honestly an enjoyable world. There were multiple 'Inception' moments and SO many references to pop culture and the gaming world.
I thoroughly enjoyed the commentary on today's culture, and where we are going, taken to the extreme. It was neat to see the players who met online, meet in person and continue being friends, despite everyone being different in person. I really enjoyed that message as a gamer myself. Also funny to see commentary on corporate culture trying to take over any power available anywhere (in this case, a hobbyist gaming community.) Various good messages and insights on what the world has become/is becoming.
SUPER ENJOYABLE.
Great cast with cliche cheesy boring plot. Expected so much more after watching the trailer. Mostly style over substance. Could have been funnier. Huge opportunity missed! :disappointed_relieved:
I own too many copies of this, yet won't stop buying it for every new platform.
I know it's a bullshit movie okay, everyone who watched it knows that! But it's some great bullshit and I'm glad i watched it. Trailer was right, it is the Michael Bayest movie of all Michael Bay movies.
Girl power! Or something, I guess.
Never once veers from 100% predictability.
The script is so juvenile not even actors way above class for this kind of movie can deliver lines convincingly and the jokes mostly just fall completely flat.
Everybody in Hollywood steals and borrows but in this you can point out the exact feature the scenes are from, it's like they just used cut and paste of the exact same storyboard.
It's not influenced by or an homage to, it's just plagiarism to the point of it being completely ridiculous.
If you intend to watch this, set your expectations really, really low.
If you think Inception had a complicated plot, this movie isn't for you. Really. There's charts with loops on the Internet which show the plot and what's happening when. You'll probably need to watch this movie at least twice.
It's very, very good.
Quentin Tarantino was so kind to make the soundtrack PUBLIC!
And here it is:

Featuring: James Brown, 2Pac, John Legend, Rick Ross & many more
Starts really good, but towards the end it's just getting absurd. Could have been a really cool movie!
fun whitty and corny, all in a bundle of awesome martial arts extravaganza, what an incredible final battle
While not quite what I was expecting, it was fairly decent. I initially rated it as a 6, but after a little thought about it standing on its own versus my expectations, I decided to increase it to a 7.
I loved Matthew Page, he was fantastic and I wish he had a bigger role.
This was actually pretty good. Parts of it were really amusing, and the story, while not original, was entertaining. The actors had good chemistry together, and I thought that the film worked pretty well overall.
Jessica Chastain: Hey, let's make one of those movies about a badass woman with a kickass job that instead focuses on her romance and family drama.
There was more action than I expected, but they could've tried to make it at least a little original...
The potential is sky high for Midnight Special and the cast is great. I really enjoyed the movie but there is a very painful lack of depth. I feel like this could've been the movie of the year and it just didn't quite get there.
Classic baseball comedy is probably overrated but is fun enough to watch. I just don't like Sarandon in the film, so I had a hard time with the flick but if you like her character, you will really love it. Even with my dislike for her, I still enjoyed the film.
Surprisingly good. This was by far the best Low Budget movie I have seen in a long time. It actually had a good ending which most movie lack now a days.
I expected a cheesy sci-fi movie, but I was wrong: the concept is promising , AND it turns out it's well directed and the actors are not (that) bad ^^. For such a low budget with such a great concept, I really think the result is pretty good. The only thing that I thought was rushed is the end: it would have deserved some 30 more minutes, even with a low budget. I mean they did a great job for the main part of the movie while low on cash, which means they could have done the same job with the end. Pure laziness? Or producers playing safe? I bet on the 2nd possibility.
In any case, really good movie.
This movie made me think about Tarantino more than once. The photography, the dialogues, the editing, the soundtrack, Jeff Bridges,...
Its not as beautiful but it’s close to it.
The casting is excellent. I didn’t like Chris Hemsworth that much. I mean he wasn’t all that bad but Jeff Bridges and Cynthia Erivo stole the show when he should have do it.
Honorable mention goes to Miles, the character. His awakening at the end was just so perfect.
The soundtrack is also perfect and add up to the tension. Cynthia Erivo’s voice almost always a cappella was so good.
I recommend this movie if you liked The Hateful Eight.
I wanted to love this movie because I loved The Cabin in the Woods but I left slightly disappointed. It’s still a good movie and fun to watch. The movie looks fantastic. There were some great oners in here and the cinematography overall is great. I really did like all the crazy intertwined stories. Most of the characters were interesting enough but we hardly know them. Seeing Chris Hemsworth with his shirt off most of the movie sure is something. The soundtrack is great and Cynthia Erivo’s singing is really good. I just wish they stuck the landing a little bit better and this was 20 minutes shorter.
13 minutes is actually correct. This page is for the shortfilm from 1994. They made it into a feature film in 1996. http://trakt.tv/movie/bottle-rocket-1996
Just found the shortfilm on youtube if you're interested:

What an great Australian movie about the real story with the moon landing and what role Australia had in it all....Sam neil what an amazing actor......
This movie has everything a person could possibly want in a fun cinematic experience! Good job, mr. Besson.
Well made with performances so strong that I don't want to spend time with any of the characters portrayed. So effective, in fact, that I didn't want to spend any more time in the theater than was necessary.
Amazing movie! , I hope women get " Driving Rights " soon in my country :(
I could only manage to watch one episode and, Believe me. I won't be able to watch any more. Totally boring, didn't enlight anything in my imagination
Swerve at all costs.
Decent sequel. I appreciate they tried to do some different things. It definitely had some funny parts, but a lot of jokes missed and it kind of dragged in parts. Be prepared for some really bad Canadian accents. If you like this kind of comedy, I recommend seeing it in theaters to promote more movies like this being made.
It's fun to hangout with Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt and that's what the majority of the movie is. A lot of the hollywood behind the scenes stuff is interesting. This didn't have Tarantino's best dialogue or the best music and feels middle of the road for his movies but great overall.
I liked this more on a second watching knowing what type of movie this is and just enjoying the terrific performances, the awesome music, the great cinematography, the attention to detail and fun editing. Brad Pitt really is fantastic but so is DiCaprio, the whole eight whisky sours scene is perfect. It's a great hang and the ending is so absurd, I love it.
