A decent ending to a long meandering season.
I just can't find this enjoyable at all but keep watching just in case something exciting happens, I'm sure that doesn't sound right. Apparently there is something new and unforeseen next week! Please not Season 2.
props to my boy Dylan G for holding that position for what seemed like an eternity!
Jesus Christ! I can’t remember to feel so tense watching a tv show episode as I felt here. Absolutely perfect. Can’t wait for season 2!!!!
So, Charlie is basically a crime magnet walking around super glueing people's wounds
Was hoping this season would have a Season 2 momentum swing, like The Office, but the show is still struggling.
So a 20 something somehow has the skills to break into the FBI servers to download the recoding. Talk about far fetched. What are these writers thinking. I think this show is made for a child.
Much much better than the first season. And the ending wrapped up quite good - most questions answered. Didn't even feel rushed. I enjoyed it overall.
Wesley was just "fan service" I guess. No idea why Soong didn't have any backups.
The real question is why the hell did the guy charge money for snacks at the white house?
Making Sam deaf was a great example of how diversity and representation don't have to compromise a character. I'm not deaf myself, I don't know anyone who's deaf, and yet you won't hear anything negative from me about Sam being deaf, because 1) it's not my place to judge whether it's meaningful to those represented, and 2) they managed to keep everything that really mattered about him.
In fact, I'd argue Craig Mazin even elevated Sam's character and his dynamic with Henry by tying his deafness to his innocence. Sam can't hear the gunfire, explosions, screaming, and tough conversations that Henry has to deal with and protect Sam from. It ties into what Joel tells Henry about how being a kid is easier. What a great adaptation of this chapter in the story.
That moment where Sam is sitting on the edge of the bed and we don't know if he's turned was adapted brilliantly. In the show, Ellie knows he's infected, but when she calls out to him and gets no response, she doesn't know if he's okay, because he's deaf. Great example of incorporating representation into a story in an uncompromising and meaningful way.
This is getting better by the minute and more intense….those 2 are nothing but power together!!!
I'm not sure I've laughed as hard as I did at the water pressure bit. What a pay-off.
The funniest part of that episode is Apple thinking Siri would ever get that playlist right.
"I love meeting people's moms. It's like reading an instruction manual as to why they're nuts." :joy:
I remember when Star Trek was awesome and adventurous, now it’s just a load of woke touchy freely crap
The first two episodes are indeed slow-burns, which I normally wouldn't mind much but they also feel a little shapeless? More than compensated by the world-building that genuinely feels lived-in and thought-out though, on both sides of the conflict (loved the bell-towering dude hammering the time). And it greatly builds to this incredible third ep, where the world-building makes that town come truly alive against the invading force, with a few great action set-pieces. Just exciting, stirring stuff here.
man does he ever get to eat the pie? I guess we'll find out.
Well, actually funny, fresh and heartwarming in the right moments.. great start!
possibility the most pointless "2nd" season to a TV show ever. avoid this crap 1/10
Season 1 was great this is a blatant cash grab.
Legend has it, that the script took forever to finish. Every time they finished a line, it disappeared
I don't care, I like it, I'm watching it.
God i'm gonna miss the Rocinante crew so fucking much. They definitely stuck the landing on this finale.
OMG OMG OMG that was some of the best star wars since return of the jedi. PURE AMAZING. PERIOD.
Here we go again - another mystery type show that will get cancelled before any answers or conclusions to the story.
The 2nd half of this episode felt rushed. They should have added 1 more episode or maybe another 30 minutes to this one to finish some things off.
"My father was a lot harder on himself than he ever was on me."
It all makes sense now.
