An utterly delightful and absurd romp through "an occasionally true" story of Catherine The Great's rise to power. A powerhouse cast, great visual design and acerbic comedic writing all pull together for an entertaining ride that's short enough to not be tiresome.
Such a huge shame that the show was cancelled. But what a fantastic scene to end on.
full offense but the people who are just now complaining that the show has become "political propaganda" are dumb as fuck. what were you watching the past three seasons. the season 2 nazi villain was named stormfront...it was never subtle. cope
Billy Porter was the best thing about this movie, cause he was one of the few people who could sing AND act. I hope I won't ever see Camillas "acting" in a movie again.
Shallow. Problematic consent. Zero chemistry. Confuses lust with true romantic connection. A missed opportunity.
So Game of Thrones is musical chairs and the guy who wins is the one who was sitting the whole time
At least they don’t have to build a new throne now that Bran is king.
Still Dicapio without Oscar?
I consider Doctor Who to be very similar to Star Wars. In the sense that it’s all Star Wars, you can have favourite characters and episodes, but saying things like “I don’t like the prequels they ruined it”, I’m sorry but you’re not a real Star Wars fan. This mentality can be used with Doctor Who. People who don’t skip whole seasons because they don’t like the person playing the character or the show runner is bad is not a real Doctor Who fan. This is what the show is, complaining about it won’t make you enjoy it more. Jodie is an amazing Doctor, Yaz is a great companion. You’re all just complainers.
I love this return to serial style set up. This episode is obviously all setup and there was a lot of characters to keep track of, but I really enjoyed this. I’m excited to see where it goes. I love this. Is it my favourite Doctor? Companion? Show Runner? No. But I understand and accept those things are out of my control. It’s all Doctor Who. And it’s all good.
Just finished it. Great first episode. Had a nice scope to it - the flux seems so interesting and that ending montage had me on the edge of my seat. Excited to see where this goes!
i adored christopher eccleston as the doctor, it pains me that we only got one season of him in the role but i will gladly continue to rewatch his series over and over again. brings back so much nostalgia and many many good feelings.
This is surprisingly good - it does take a bit of time to follow the timeline jumps but well worth the effort.
The main problem hipsters face in the apocalypse is what romantic couples to form. Ugh.
Now that was The Ultimate Odd Couple Saves the World (and Each Other).
