Been binging this show scrupulously since yesterday and there were so many clues and foreshadowing in the past episodes I could actually see the "twist" coming. It didn't shock me, just made me a bit uncomfortable. Handling unsavory family secrets really isn't my strongest suit. Hope there's nothing more discomforting than this in the episodes to come.
The sound design and cinematography still going strong. I'm constantly bookmarking and taking screenshots!
While I guessed the twist last week from a small reference, I still think it was well done and is setting up a really interesting story. I was not much of a fan of last season, but this one's definitely drawing me in better. I also think the crossover stuff they're doing feels a bit better handled than some of the previous cameo stuff they've done.
Coz of that time-travel bit, now I have a feeling there's some super ugly family secret that Jonas's dad got to know and could no longer bear to live with. Which could explain his suicide and the letter he sent to his mom to be opened on the exact same time Mikkel went missing. Or not.

No!!! Not William! I'm sobbing yo.
This was a "getting the gang back together" episode. Next week we'll see how big of a hole Liz makes in the team.
Great finisher to the show. New Cap looks great. Solid resolutions to things and not only have we got the incredible JLD playing a villain but they've done a 180 on an established hero character! (Carter). That's delicious :D
I mean Eclipso is not your class bully, Court.
As soon as Wyatt Russell was introduced as Captain America. There has been plenty of memes making fun of him in the costume. There’s also a rumor that the actor received death threats for even playing Captain America.
The dense don’t realize, John Walker is a totally different comic book character. Russell is perfect and it’s also hard not to hear his father Kurt, every time he talks. Russell isn’t trying to replace Evans.
He’s pretty much how John Cena describes his character in the Suicide Squad “a douche Captain America.”
Episode 4 was a deep dive into the aftermath of the events that occurred after Avengers: Endgame; I liked it because even though we have some idea about what people were going through, we didn’t have a proper perspective until now.
It is also the first time we get an actual character to empathize with a “villain,” which was refreshing because usually, when a character is known to be the bad guy, then the only way out is to fight them rather than understanding their point of view or having a redemption arc.
It was a good episode, and a lot was happening Throughout. Although predictable overall, I thought it was pretty decent.
Two more episodes to go!
That last shot! Love the direction they've taken all this. I almost didn't watch it due to the trailers painting it as a silly buddy cop shtick. So glad it's deeper than that.
Let's get the obvious out of the way - writer Derek Kolstad borrows a lot from John Wick here, though this isn't inherently a bad thing. Instead it highlights the spectacular new location of Madripoor, which outside of being our first glimpse into section of the Marvel universe that still haven't been touched, it's also a spectacular locale in it's own right. The gorgeous neon lighting, the shadows - it's all great to look at, continuing the MCU's trek into more bold visual storytelling.
The character work is equally bold and fierce here as well, especially with the reintroduction of Zemo who is simply a delight here. Sharon Carter is recharacterized in unexpected ways as well that make the best she has ever been in the MCU, and her action scene is a series highlight. And while most of the themes take a backseat here for plot purposes, it does rear it's head at the end in a way that's poignant and powerful, while also questioning the role of icons in the modern era. Really smart stuff from a show that just continues to deliver on all fronts.
I don’t oppose Zemo stopping that scientist cause like there can’t be hundreds of super soldiers running around! At least Karli and her team have some sense of right and wrong or a true cause but imagine that on the wrong hands.
Also Sharon is still being so underused! But I’m glad she’s at least doing financially okay, and I don’t know if I’m used to obvious twists and bad reveals but what if she is Power Broker? Would that make sense? I don’t read the comics and if I google who that is probably I’ll find a lot of spoilers.
And HOW DARE THEM PUT THEIR HANDS ON THE DORA MILAJE???? Are they stupid?? Like that’s on John Walker if he wants to try and fight them but that wasn’t Sam nor Bucky’s fight.
I love the world building going on around this catastrophic event and the reversal event, it makes for interesting and thought provoking perspectives.
Two episodes in a row of food shenanigans have proved Baby Yoda is such a little shit, but that's kinda why we love him so much! ♡
"Say, Zeek, I'm going on vacation for two whole weeks, so why don't you keep an eye on my shop for me for no good reason whatsoever? Just be sure to not go into that mysterious room over there that you're already showing an unusual interest in. You know, the one that I have locked up and that's totally not hiding something of critical importance. How's that sound to you, buddy?"
Good gawd. I've witnessed some stupid plot contrivances in the past, but none were more stupid than this.
My girlfriend has been commenting that The Flash became Care Bears. This episode even gave the opportunity for her to sing the theme song at a given moment :joy::joy::joy:
This was great! I've been hoping it would play out something like this (both Ahsoka and Rex surviving). Lots of powerful, funny, and important moments (Rex and Ahsoka bonding even more, Rex trying to fight Order 66, the awesome light saber scene, Ahsoka teaming up with the droids and "saving" Rex, etc.). I cannot believe that there's only one episode left but I'm very glad that we got this epic conclusion.
This is the part I've been waiting for. I hope there will be more episodes like this before Ahsoka meets Anakin (tbh now I hope that she doesn't stay with the jedi for long because we already know that this cannot last). Anyway, I'd like exploring the Coruscant underground a bit more or even other places from this new viewpoint.
(I'd probably rate this episode 8-9 / 10.)
Interesting twist, or further back story to the iconic character…..was great bringing Kal-El’s mothers consciousness into the mix, added more unexpected history.
Only have one question, did I miss them say a short distance shockwave? as Morgan Edge’s assistant, Leslie Larr, seemed to be unaffected
Man at this point I just want to know who the hell Reddington is, cause this can’t just built up for him to be a random person her mother chose.
Wow... This is actually one of the few episodes that gave me "the feels".
Like at the moment when Frost got sentenced or the moment when Nora started to get bitchy .
Now I just read in one of the comments down below that Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon) will leave the show. Thanks for spoiling that piece.
It would be a pain to see him leave but I still like this show so I surely hope it will continue for a while.
I love the way Joe West says you should always do a reality check and see if you are still on the right side of the line. People could use a bit more patients to think over what they are doing/saying and how that effects others. Such a wise men!
It seems that giant fella could have easily killed Barry, why did it not do that?
The name of the big, evil ship is one of those incredibly on-the-nose things where I have to remind my adult ass that this is a kids show, and also Star Wars has always been incredibly on-the-nose. It helps when you get byproducts like this episode title, which somehow manages to be both ridiculous and cool.
