Very close to perfection. The whole season has alternated between poignant build-up and fast-paced resolutions, and this one had good amounts of both.
I'm looking forward to next season potentially having two big villains "out there". If Marco was bad news, what to make of someone who looks at their Starship Troopers society and thinks "hmm... look at all these deviants with their tokens of individuality under their uniforms, we need to achieve real purity"
And at least someone finally acknowledged Chrisjen has "come a long way" since her S1 "Earth must come first" Belter-torturing self.
Holden's face when he saw Clarissa was absolutely priceless.
For me this season was much better than the previous one, and it seems S6 is going to be one the best seasons of television.
They did a really good job of dealing with Ruby Rose's exit of the show. I wasn't expecting to take to Ryan this easily. There was a lot of exposition to set up a whole new character but it was done in a decent way.
They've given her a whole other reason to have tension with Alice, we've still got a queer lead and lots of fun on the way.
Cautiously optimistic!
This gave me both a way to grieve the loss of Ms. Rose in the role, and, to care for Ms. Wilder.
Who else was crying within the first three minutes? And, like every seven minutes after that? Fav quote: "It's one thing to put it on, it's another to wear it."
I reckon they did everything right here. Put Kate's character in a position where everyone thinks she's permanently gone but leave just enough of an out if Ruby ever want's to reappear at any point down the line.
Speaking of, I am so glad they didn't do the thing where the new Batwoman turned up at Jacob Kane's bat signal switch on. I'm glad they let him confirm the truth.
Ok while this plot twist isn't ideal, Ruby Rose wanted to leave the show so you can't blame them for killing her character off (if Kate is even dead), cause it's not like they had much choice.
That being said, I love the new Batwoman character, she has depth and a very interesting personality, and I'm also so relieved that she's also a lesbian bc I was scared they're gonna replace Kate with a straightie. So sad for her mom tho, but I guess she needed an origin story and that's usually a death of a parent.. talk about an obvious trope but I'll roll with it.
While I like Rachel Skarsten since Lost Girl, I never liked Alice and tbh she served her purpose and is boring as hell so I hope this "new storyline" she has won't last too long.
AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT KRYPTONITE BC I REALLY HOPE SHE GETS SOME COOL SUPER POWERS
Not bad. Thought I would not like the bew batwoman but they managed to make a good transition from Kate. Really sad though that Ruby Rose dis not want to continue as batwoman.
I actually really liked it.
great episode, a little bit slow, but I think this season is somewhat similar to season 1. I think it is building on a fast paced end of season episodes for the climax. Naomi's actress was awesome in this episode.
Very intense episode. Everything felt crucial and riddled with detail. Acting was SOLID all around and felt more natural than earlier episodes. By no means action packed, but the series has always excelled while doing more with less and keeping encounters brief, impactful, and executed with humbling realism.
Great episode. Tense all round. Having Clarissa back on the scene is definitely an interesting element. I felt for her previous story despite her very extreme methods.
