The editing in this episode was Emmy worthy, outstanding season so far!
Ladies and gentlemen, Kieran Culkin, the 2023 Emmy winner.
Great finale! Looks like we won't have to wait too long for the second season judging by the trailer at the end it seems like it's already shot.
So satisfying to watch Cartwright and Lamb stick it to that evil woman
This episode is the apotheosis of "No matter what's the problem, humans will always be the biggest problem to this World"
“Robert DeNoNo” - Ava is the funniest.
-“We’re a non-profit.” - “Who said I was gonna pay you?”
“Were you born without a funny bone?”
“Legendary Charters?? If anyone is gonna take advantage of this school district, it's gonna be me.” - I know Ava is supposed to be the “not caring” principle but when she steps up, she truly does. Ava, Barbara, Melissa are the trio I didn’t know I needed, they will be unstoppable.
“I'm going to Bone Town with Maurice, and then I'm going to break up with him... If I'm going to be doing this then I need to be full of meat and covered in sauce.” - This entire conversation was just perfection.
“What has gone so wrong in my life that I send my kids to Abbott?” Hahaha
I like that Ava is so annoyed by Janine that anyone who annoys her is automatically called Janine. The callback to her secret bathroom was brilliant.
The final mural was so good. Especially the individual tiles that represent each student. A wonderful compromise was settled upon.
This is it folks, this is peak television. What we have here is one of the most gut wrenching and masterfully crafted episodes ever brought to screen. Absolutely fucking phenomenal with career best performances from Murray Bartlett and Nick Oferman. Holy shit this will stick with me.
Fight the urge to hate the show because you feel like Charlie Brown to Lucy - remember that this is one of the most realistic portrayals of the Silicon Valley and the business world, and importantly, that the show probably wouldn't be as interesting if things just worked out perfectly after two seasons.
