Now, Let me tell you why I'm loving Better Call Saul so much.
Bob Odenkirck's magnificent acting, I mean, did you saw his eyes when Jimmy's brother was telling him all that stuff at the ending? Sadness. Bloody good stuff.
This episode itself was brilliant, because it was about loyalty and Jimmy, Saul, whatever you wanna call him, he thought he was finally doing something great, something he could share with his brother. Yes, he works hard. And his brother, on the other side, never thought that way, even when he saw his brother's excitement, I'm sure all he was thinking was HHM, and that's awful, his ideals are awful and maybe he is too. But hey, can you blame him? I think not, because we all have opinions on things that really matter to us and it's hard to change the way we see it.
The thing about this ep is that you get to recall every single thing Saul has done, good or bad. He's not evil, he's not a saint, he's a regular guy trying to be better. And you can feel sorry for him, because even when he does his best, he can't.
So apparently I’m the only one who loved the ending. Every comment said good show bad ending. Great show, great ending.
--- WARNING - SPOILER N' STUFF ---
Nobody else think that the way Gus walked out of that before he collapsed was a bit stupid? Sure he's tough and seems like he doesn't feel anything, but seriously, to stop and adjust his tie?! It just didn't feel right to me...
This episode is the most messed up of all. Ali got so totally screwed over, of course the old man did too. Saddest episode ever!!!
the name of this episode is hilarious
Shailene's role as a mom feels so forced. Maybe it's because of all the Divergent movies, or because she's not a mom in real life, but I'm not buying it.
On a more positive note, I'm loving Chloe (Reese's youngest daughter). That girl rocks! And I love how she's always listening to this really cool music.
No plot development happened this episode either. But maybe that's the whole point of this show. People living their dramatic lives, being very grey about their actions and decisions, while parallely, a homicide investigation is carried out, which gives everyone an excuse to bad mouth each other. IDK.
Andy is turning out to be another Michael Scott and it's already a disaster. Andy's character is ruined.
"Wow, that person really has got him- or herself into quite a predicament" Perfect. Comic. Timing.
Great Andy-centric episode. Ed Helms is brilliant and they're using a wide range of his skills in this. Singing, theatre acting, comedy and drama. On the other hand, Jim and Pam continue to be the worst. On the surface, seperatly they're fun characters but they're really horrible, manipulitive, selfish people. They're drinking alcohol in the car with their baby in the back.
One of the best episodes, solely because it's another subtle look into Michael. He doesn't really grieves Ed Truck, but he is afraid that he will die alone, without anyone ever remembering him.
Just watched it through twice. Phenomenal TV.
So much to appreciate but I love how Gilligan echoed the reveal of Walt with Skylar in Felina, this time using Kim and Jesse. And the tiny splash of colour reflected in the glasses.
I'll miss this show.
Kinda weird how an air-gapped laptop can wirelessly print, don't you think?
If you still hate Skyler and love Walter after this episode... I don't know what to say to you.
Damn right, Skyker, you tell him. I'm so done with the shit Skyler gets, not only in the show but from the fans too, when everything she does she does for her family. I mean Walt can be so stupid because of his ego, thank god Skyler is there.
I see people are saying this is the Ozymandias of BCS, but I think that's a bit extreme. It was good, but I wouldn't say it was that good.
I'm curious what the hell these last 4 episodes will be. That was already full-blown Saul at the end. Are we going to get 4 episodes of that? I kind of hope not.
I hadn’t watched any of this final season of Better Call Saul yet as of this morning. But I just now accidentally started and finished what I thought was the season premiere and didn’t realize was actually episode six. Well, crap.
It’s a testament to the show and its creators that I had enough confidence in it and them to not feel incredibly lost and confused. I was totally along for the ride. Hahaha. Well, I guess it’s time for episode one.
Why couldn't the rest of this show be so well written? An absolutely amazing end to a mediocre show.
Cute final scene, meh episode
People! Remember to tag spoilers! I know it's not a good idea to check the comments before watching, but I know some people might do that. Better safe than sorry, eh?
i wasn't a fan of the whole "let me lie here choking to death on my own blood as i monologue about my motivations and various plot twists" thing. contrived imo. larek just not an interesting villain and doesn't add anything compelling to the story.
Wow, that boy playing their son can surely act.
Reasonable thriller with a decent (if somewhat overused) mafia vendetta plot line. Biggest problem is the male lead character who rivals Keeanu Reeves (in The Matrix) and Eric Dane (The Last Ship) for 'Most Wooden Actor', seems to just switch between two looks - blank stares and dumbfounded. Big difference between reserved and being an outright flat bore.
