It's really got that B movie vibes to it, story, production values etc. I was just glad when it ended, never got invested in any of the characters, everyone felt way too generic. Who greenlights such projects?!
Ye kya bawaseer bana diye ho re?! To quote Manoj Bajpai... Such an imbecile film, who commissioned this crap at Netflix?
The movie is pretty much spot on with the cast, locations and atmosphere. It's got a very authentic look and feel to it. But the issue is that it's a snapshot into the life of a dull protagonist. Yeah he's going through a transitional phase but there isn't much to create interest. We get to see a few days in the life of the protagonist and then an abrupt end. The other movie 'Soni' was way more engrossing in terms of story and characters and the overarching theme of feminism. This one's a one time watch and a slow burn. Also it's much better than the usual commercial Bollywood crap though....
Finally something nice and engaging from Bollywood. It's got that wicked dark humour to it. Was a blast to watch. This movie evoked the same feeling I had after watching Andhadhun. Quite a lot of twists and turns along the way. It was a breezy watch, didn't feel like a drag....
It really seems like the creators put a few superhero films in a blender, added a bit of new flavour to it and voila, we get Black Adam. It's a entertaining film, lots of big CGI stuff happening on the screen but the story could've been a bit more engaging, ditto with the characters. Dialogue could've been a whole lot better. Felt very generic, more so the villain. It's got a very been there done that kind of feel to it. Also it's painfully tiring to see bad guys, who are supposed to be mercenaries, not being able to stand against a kid with all their muscles and big weapons, and they've got their trademark bad aim to go with it. So many cliches man.... 6.25/10 for me.....
Just caught the first screening in my city. Have to say it was a terrific movie. Its a simple storyline and the major focus is on the flight scenes. Was simply blown away by what the team was able to achieve. It was breathtaking! The time just flew by. Even the nostalgia bit was nicely done. Do catch it on the big screen...
This was one heck of a movie. Great action, fast paced, tons of CGI, perfect summer blockbuster! Had a great time at the cinema. It's every bit Marvel. Loved the tinge of horror added to the mix, a different flavour than the usual! No big drawbacks as such for me....
Was much better than most of the stuff Bollywood puts out. Deffo not as bad as some of the reviews are making it out to be. Two thirds of the movie was one genre and then it just metamorphosised into something else, felt like a different movie, sort of....
Theek theek hai yaar. It has its moments but there are lots of logical fallacies and slightly excessive melodrama towards the end.....
Just released on Prime Video today. Don't go by the IMDB rating. It's a solid 7 for me. The script/story could have been a little tighter. A good one time watch. Not your typical Bollywood fare....
Nice and lively movie. Good blend of fun and feel good emotions. Top notch animation from Sony. Nice addition to Netflix!
It's a good film and it did elicit a few chuckles now and then. It also makes it's political leanings very clear, not that I mind. Would recommend watching it, Cohen is an original, he has his unique brand of humor....
I for one enjoyed it. Thankfully it does deviate a bit from the original and that lends it a unique flavour of its own. The original is a childhood favourite but this one is pretty good in its own right. The visuals are pretty good, the locations are terrific! The movie had a sweet and simple message to convey, which I felt it did so nicely....
Decent one time watch. They didn't invest much into character development or nuance and the film gets right to the point, seems a bit rushed. Also what I found strange was all the Bollywood music playing instead of local Bangla music in scenes where music was heard....
This film reminded me a lot of the Denzel Washington film 'Man on fire'....
Reasonably good love story but a few Incredulous scenes here and there. So many goons, that too in a UP Bihar setting but this one guy/protagonist goes and thrashes them and none of them carries a Katta/gun. Weaksauce villain..... 7/10
They really messed up the protagonist at the end. From an upright idealistic youth, he's transformed into a deranged lunatic. If the writers are penning the story as a realistic one, they should've stuck to the theme throughout. I really had high expectations after watching the trailer, it does lack a bit of substance and fails to effectively deliver a message which gets muddled with the protagonist's histrionics, this could've been another Peepli live..... Pankaj Tripathi was good....
Felt more like a forceful sermon by a self righteous preacher rather than a comedy..... Unrealistic charecters who weren't convincing at all. English is a bread winners language and lets leave it at that. Baat ka batangad.....
Good movie but for some inconsistencies and fallacies in logic. Atleast way better than most of the other Bollywood fare currently. Was absolutely shocked to see krk's review before watching this movie, that guy is just terrible......
Absolutely brilliant expose. Just a bit baffled that there was no inquisition or interest shown in the Middle East, lot of controversy to be had there and Clinton's were in the thick of things.....
Absolutely top notch summation of the incident. Adds missing pieces to the puzzle omitted by the main stream media. 9/10
It's one of those rare movies. Brings back memories of Paanch(nice film in itself). Some of the scenes were nice especially the sister one but overall the slow pace of the film and some of the illogical scenes especially the climax spoil the show. But can be watched for a bit of a break from the routine masala bollywood stuff. One time watch for sure......
