The best television show of ALL-TIME.
'Back To The Future' is one of the most enjoyable time-travelling classics. It's over 23 years old and it still hasn't gotten old. Sadly, they don't make it like this these days but then again we always can revisit them. That's why they're classics. Let your imagination fly.
wow, i loved this series, HBO is always a step ahead of everyone else!
I have just seen the first episode, and that is enough. This was awful. The acting, the story, the scenery. It also feels nothing like the games in it's "atmosphere", even with all its forced references.
But probably worst of all: it was boring.
One of the worst pilots I've ever seen. Steer clear of this one if you have any standard, even if you don't care about the games.
Other than the all-star casting which makes for a worthwhile watch on its own, the plot and idea for the series is pretty great and entertaining, however, its not a unique one-off plot. It follows the drama behind the scenes of a big TV news network; in essence watching a show about a show and the actors. If you want drama about all of today's common issues and topics like minority rights, COVID, woke, ect, this is a very fun watch. But the cherry on top is the filming and the intensity of each dramatized moment drawing the audience as close to the characters as possible. And the show starts right off in the heat of a very dramatic happening to the so called TV network.
Surprised people seem to not like it as much as I do. For context, I am a late 30s white male and usually get annoyed by thrown in your face gender politics but this didn't do that to me. Amazing acting and I was intrigued with all 3 episodes so far. Guess I am blind to something others can see. I also feel like it is trying to give both sides to all stories. Just watch the amazing actors do their thing.
Play the games, avoid the show.
The story and art style definitely seem cool and interesting, but the long, dull, uninspired battle scenes drag on too much, and the sound effects just don’t make sense. Swords whooshing sound like transformers, and it’s all so exagerated, it’s off-putting. Don’t waste your time, this show isn’t worth it.
A tad bit dated today. The animation may not be the best, but that's just the way things were, and it doesn't hold back from the good stories and very strong characterization in the show. Too many Morbius episodes for my tastes, but they did a great job focusing on Peter's life as both a photographer and a superhero. Worth the watch for any Spidey fan.
Gripping polish drama distributed by HBO Europe. If you speak polish or don't mind watching with subtitles, I can only recommend this gem. I just wish national network around will pick it up.
its a shit show, only season 1 is worth watching
Season 1 started of as 6/10. Season 2 ... don't remember anything from it.
Season 3 - 2/10
It's not funny.
It IS tedious.
It's all about being woke and not reality - typical apple+
I only watch this shit cause the wife likes it.
It's a mediocre show. Not about real soccer. Not about sports in particular. Not extremely hilarious. Not serious. Not a complex drama. Not a romcom. W/o an overarching coherent story line. Full of cliches and stereotypes. Season one is the best season. Season two is the worst. I know why it's a mediocre show: they risk virtually nothing and designed the show exactly like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KeG_i8CWE8 They probably thought that's a one season show. And season one was the perfect uplifting show for the pandemic. They never thought to need longer story arches or complex characters. And the lack thereof became apparent in the last two seasons. The show has nothing to tell really.
Watch it in a cold winter. Three weekends will do. Highly binge-watchable and you don't need to pay much attention. It's feel good TV. Likeable but shallow characters. Not many other shows produce that sort of hear warming feeling. I said it before. I'll say it again: that's the innocuous familly entertainment companies like Apple deserve. What Emily did to Paris, this show does to European soccer culture.
The first two seasons are very nice and easy to like.
The third season is pretty awful.
It feels directionless, episodes are too long, the renewed focus makes it feel like a melodramatic soap opera, lots of misfires with the comedy (e.g. the Zava character doesn’t work at all), some of the acting got too cartoonish; the show took a swing and it turned into something that doesn’t work.
It’s nice that it tried to break down some barriers with the integration of real issues such as homophobia and racism in sports, but some of that stuff feels so tacked on or handled in a way that doesn’t make sense.
Took me an awfully long time to get through the first season. And I'm very tempted to drop the show entirely since I'm now at S02E03 and the show still hasn't got me hooked!
