Love Ray Donovan! In the absence of another season, this will have to do, and after watching it, it does brilliantly. Loose ends tied up, mostly, still leaves you wondering what will become of Brigette, Bunchy and Terry, and if Ray survives. Being the tough cookie he is, I sincerely hope so, and somehow gets away with it and makes a better life. Can't help but love Ray, despite his flaws. Liev Shreiber, absolutely perfect as Ray, cannot imagine anyone else coming close. One of the best series ever.
So where are the rest of the episodes? You show s4x1, but going through the calendar there are no more!
Wow! As a lifelong fan, easily the best biopic of Marilyn. Amazing to look at, each outfit (and sometimes every pose) is carefully chosen from one of a thousand images we have all seen, giving a feeling of familiarity to every shot. A dark and sometimes disturbing look at a Monroe we often suspected dwelt behind the stunning façade of (until Diana) the most famous and photographed woman of the century. Ana de Armas is brilliant as the troubled star, so good you can almost believe it's actually her, especially in her eyes that have that sad, haunted look sometimes caught in photos of the real Marilyn. In the end a moving and terribly sad portrait of a tragic, flawed, iconic beauty. A must see!
Cannot agree with many comments on this being overlong. It has the slow burn of a classic noir, something that younger generations don't seem to appreciate, being more used to the fast cut, short attention span movies that seemed to have proliferated since the MTV pop video changed the way movies look. Having also seen the original, anyone thinking this was slow paced would quit the Tyrone Power orig. after the first 20mins! This is another masterful work by Del Toro, better than The Shape of Water, and deserving as much, If not more of it's success. For those who appreciate storytelling above implausible stunts and CGI, your in for a treat!
So, I watched episode 3 via my app, synced with Syncler, but yet again Syncler says I watched some Sh*t called "Hey Joel" episode 3! It has done this with every episode of 1883. It's not the apps fault, it's Trakt.( It does the same in the Trakt app on iPad) Fed up with it, Trakt is getting worse, not better.
What an epic, exciting, harrowing episode! So many losses, not least the poor guy who bailed out of another fort and comes tumbling through the air, only to strike the wing of Cleven's plane! Best episode yet, of what is a superb series.
Good to see a season 2 of Punisher. Best thing Marvel has done, series wise. Would rather see this than another Iron Fist, Marvels weakest offering....
The best Batman movie, period.
Margot Robbie excellent & gorgeous as always! Finn Cole-great too.
A good story, well told. I think both Hanks and Costner have improved with age, primarily by choosing roles befitting their years instead of trying to be action heroes etc like some of their peers. “Let Him Go” the recent Costner film and this one see both playing their age, and turning in fine performances because of it, rather than in spite of it. Hanks has a list of classics to his credit, along with some stinkers, but if you can place The Green Mile, Road to Perdition, Saving Private Ryan amongst your credits, you’ve done well! This isn’t up there with those gems, but it’s a good solid performance in a watchable tale that does him credit.
Times are wrong in Trakt. It says 5am on HBO that’s 5am this morning U.K. time 18thApril. That would mean it actually aired Saturday night US.
It airs 9pm tonight in the US, which means 2am here Monday morning, NOT 5am Sunday morning. Spent ages wondering why Syncler wouldn’t play episode 2 - not been aired yet! Thanks Trakt!
I cannot believe what I just saw! Absolutely vile! But still the best show out there!
Err.... I think it airs 15th May actually, Trakt....
Trakt, your description is incorrect. Sydney Aus. does not feature anywhere in this!
Not released until 22nd September
Has Trakt got its dates wrong again, or has Sky pulled it? Can’t find any mention of it in the schedule?
I remember seeing this when first released as “The Streetfighter” Years later I started watching Hard Times on tv and realised it was the same film. One of Bronsons best, he’s tailor-made for the role of Cheyney.
Anyone know what has happened to episode 3-4? No sign of them anywhere at the moment. Anyone know where to find them?
Not as good as the first two. Jumps around too much, story lacks any grit or real interest in the investigation. Disappointing.
Trakt out on datesyet again. This episode aired on 10/01/2019- didn’t even show up in my calendar!
Trakt is way out with its dates recently. This episode aired the other day....
After several absolute turkeys Neeson actualy makes a good film!
Looking forward to this! Yankees icon.
Not bad, would even say rather good, if not for the absolutly ridiculous last 10 seconds! Totally ruined any credibility whatsoever!
So there are four agents with guns trained on the bomber when he hijacks the car with the kid, when he raised his arm and fired into the air, any one of them could have killed him instantly. Stupid extending of what was a reasonably good episode until then.
This series starts out ok, but this season 3 is positivity boring. They have run out of ideas. Should do like I have done, and dump it.
I liked the first season, but I was glad they put up all the season 2 episodes instead of weekly only. That way I didn’t have to waste 3-4 weeks before deciding how rubbish it was! More holes in the plot than a string vest and lots of totally stupid stuff- no more so than the ‘supposed pro’ arms deal ex soldier! No pro with a milligram of sense would use one of those red laser sights on a Glock! They were abandoned on rifles in favour of holo sights years ago, and only an idiot would use one on a close range weapon like they did. Why? Simple- you see one of those beams waving around, look where it’s coming from, and given the range, a couple of rounds in your best guess at the shooters body will have a good chance of hitting something. If you’re carrying an M4 or H&K a quick burst will pretty much guarantee a kill. Pro my ass! :joy:
I was dubious about this, but curiosity got the better of me, unfortunately. A somewhat messy and overly conveluted plot. Relying on basically rehashing elements of the trilogy and dressing them in the emperor's new clothes, hoping no-one would notice it was bare! Plenty of action, but the visuals lacked the impact of the original and seemed limp in comparison. A case of what should have been left alone, once again being 'resurrected' for the dollar. Disappointing.
Marvel dragging the bottom of the barrel. The reason why the eternals are relatively low in the Marvel comics universe, is because nobody was interested in them, then or now. Boring characters that have nothing to like or root for. Marvel, you just wasted a ton of money on an utter crock of crap!
The most boring narrator ever, with such a dull, annoying voice!
