Surprisingly good, for an overworked genre. Despite the zombie and the gore, it's not a frightening movie. It's more of a character study of this particular Final Girl.
Kind of a knock off of Talk To Me but with bit of a different twist. Worth checking out if you are looking for something to pass the time.
The first half of the movie felt like a trump rally..
The second half felt like the rally's after-party
Cam became the definition of a man thinking with the wrong head.
After four episodes of this I can't watch any more. It's beyond glacially slow. Nobody is particularly likable and the plot is difficult to follow or get into. They tried to make a "dark" British cop show and ended up with this wanna-be artsy high production value series that misses the mark on everything except the actual production itself.
It’s a bad Terrifier ripoff. Weak acting, no feeling of thrill at all. Could be much better.
Ugh... Season 1 ends on a cliffhanger with a LOT of unresolved plot points.
Otherwise, it's a decent enough dramedy. Most people are going to know whether or not they like this after 2-3 episodes.
Hell Camp (2023) was a netflix documentary about this same issue but it only focused on 80s and tried to show abusers as good guys.
This one is really well made and shows how much victims are still suffering AND these evil people getting away with all. It was so genuine and real. I feel sorry for all the victims and once again mad at american justice system. Keep fighting!
This feels like a dark comedy plucked from a different era and it works in that respect. A few misses here and there yet comes together nicely in the end.
A film that just misses greatness can be more disappointing than a film that doesn't come close. Dream Scenario is outstanding until the last 20 minutes. It feels as though Kristoffer Borgli just couldn't figure out how to end it and ran out of time. Too bad. #BestNicolasCagePerformanceEver
Who knew that watching someone slap the shit out of a dead body would bring me so much joy
The beginning was good but the second half took a weird turn. Overall, it was pretty good.
James Roland is a genius. I still can't figure out how he convinced executives to produce this terrible piece of television. It is so bad that I can't find one good thing to say about it. Stay clear of this, it won't last long anyway before it is cancelled.
edited after watching whole season:
You know those things that are so bad that they come out on the other side and feel good. This show is like this. I still think it's bad.
Sin City 2 bad. But I am glad that it had a chance to air, and I don't regret wasting my time watching it.
[Filmin] A languid thriller that doesn't take the least amount of time to reflect on its subject matter, more interested in absurd plot twists than really delving into it. A predictable but somewhat suspenseful beginning gives way to an uninteresting development, with mediocre performances and a hasty resolution that fails to take advantage of the approach to abuses and limits in teacher-student relationships.
Dopesick had been on my watch list for a while, but it's a drama about drug abuse in a foreign country, so no urgency
After 10 hours of binge watching, I went and bought the book
This was so enjoyable by personalising the opioid epidemic (except for members of the Sackler family - the series definitely didn't humanise them!).
In my mind, it is one of the few things where casting has been a huge part of it's success - with a special call-out to Michael Keaton

"There is no justice, but there is mercy, because that's what we can give to each other." Beautiful ending.
Vicki Pepperdine and Joanna Scanlan's cameos (from Getting On UK) were brilliant! Totally unexpected haha!
6/10 FAIR
Would have liked to give it a 7/10 but it just didn’t make it, it was slow and nothing new.
The story was okay but a lot more could have been done with it.
If it was one episode less, it might have panned out better, a nice sprinkling of jokes/comical situations.
They didn’t even try to give us a reason why the father and son had two very different accents, which could have been so easy to do and would have only taken up 3-5mins to do!!!!!
But even after this little moan, it’s worth watching if you have finished your watch list, it won’t blow you away, but it will pass the time until your regular shows return…..
Will there be another season???
I personally don’t think so, but if by some fluke it happens then please pick the speed up a light bit and give us a unique storyline….
A non-US serial killer for a change.
Happy to see great acting in a show for the UK.
The first act was pretty decent I didn't see the twists coming at all. Very Christmas-y. A concept that's already been done a few times but I like it here. The first few kills looked so fake. Frustrating decision making.
Second act has a lot of sequences with the killer and a decent amount of kills but it lost some heat. The story doesn't stay interesting and it needed way more comedy. Some characters completely disappear from the movie like Justin Long and especially Cassandra Naud, where did she go?! So we're left with the bad actors for the remaining time.
Third act was terribly stupid... it's like they had no idea how to end it. What a let down!
Even gratuitous nudity couldn't have redeemed this piece of :poop:.
Otherwise, I whole heartedly agree with the other reviewer who said this film should be watched as punishment.
Adam Sandlers’s absolutely worst movie ever. 0/10.
Damn Eugene left the show?!?!
The web comic is clever enough, but this does not translate well into an extended animated show.
Pretty good movie. Kept us intrigued from start to finish. Good number of LOL moments along the way.
8.5/10
The drive-in shall never die!
Legend has it, that the script took forever to finish. Every time they finished a line, it disappeared
Candy Land opens up it's legs to a dirty kinky unholy bloody deadly slasher featuring sex workers and... Christians! It starts as a murder mystery whodunit and rapidly goes into traditionnal slasher territory. What I like the most about it is it's characters, I grew attached to them and they're quite likable. Also it gives a solid look into the lives of truck stop sex workers and the solidarity between them, they're like one big family. I love the way it's filmed with a dirty camera in some scenes and the editing and cinematography looks great. The low budget doesn't really show that much sinse they found a really cool looking set. Acting's great. It takes place around Christmas which is interesting sinse it features Christians. Lots of blood, nudity and disturbing scenes but honestly it could have gone even further given it's premise. Loved the ending but the third act was repetitive with the kills.
