A two and a half hours boring, depressing mess. In short, Zack Snyder.
And the dream sequences take more screen time then the actual BvS fight. Who thought this was a good idea?
hum...
I might be biased but I thought this was a complete waste of my time !
YES this is beautiful, YES there is some action and YES the aliens (and gory scenes) are great in this movie, but well...
I'm not spoiling there but : how can a crew responsible for 2000+ lives in a colony mission be so incompetent ?
I know the whole point of Alien films is to mix human errors and bad luck to make bad times, but this is just too much !
Overall, the scenario was quite hollow.
I'll be spoiling a bit from now on :
really the only enjoyable moments were brought by the Synthetic stranded on the planet, this old generation David who served Dr Shaw was the only one bringing a bit of character depth, in the end I only wished he would "win" and was pleased to see that that's what happened.
The complete lack of responsibility from the crew was numbing : who would risk losing a spacecraft with thousands of souls onboard waiting to create a colony in a raging storm just to hope to have a contact with his half ? Who would again risk all colonists' lives and decades of preparations just to visit a planet they barely know anything of, just because they received a lost transmission of some singing ?
I know these are classic ways to bring this kind of situation in films, but the way it was brought was not subtle in the least.
In the end, while it was pretty clear for me that they had returned with the wrong David, this was the only really enjoyable moment.
Again, I'm encouraging everyone reading me to see for themselves and make their opinion, but for me this was a miss.
It has a big emphasis on family drama. If you're into that you'll probably enjoy it, but honestly I think it doesn't come anywhere close to the likes of Expanse.
I love Predator franchise, but this film is simply ridiculous!!
Dropped it after the first season, sure it may not be the worst show or sure it may not even be bad but for me at least it felt pretty boring and repeditive after a while.
Seems like they spent all the budget on Anthony Mackie.
Terrible plot, and abysmal execution.
They turned the show from a groundbreaking neo noir cyberpunk/cyber thriller to some generic bullshit.
Do yourself a favour and skip this one. (you won't miss much, but if you are still hesitant, just watch the first few episodes and you will understand what I am talking about. Play it at 10x if you still care and want an alternative to completing the show other than painfully watching every episode like I did.)
Tom Hardy, all by himself, almost makes this a good movie.
And, it's hilarious at times (which I believe was intentional, I think this movie is self-aware), way funnier than say Ant-Man and the Wasp.
There was just something about the banter between Eddie and Venom that worked extremely well.
But: the script is awful, the dialogue sucks, the production values are terrible, and anyone that isn't Tom Hardy comes from a much blander film.
So I cannot really recommend it, even though I kinda want to.
This season was completely garbage
Most boring first half hour of a movie i've ever seen. That was all I could stand.
I'm not a movie buff by any stretch, I won't claim to hold knowledge in writing or rant about the scientific names of minerals. I'll just say the movie was blah. I don't even get where people claim it looked amazing visually, it just looked like a crapload of cgi to me.
The story itself is so weak I found myself bored for more then half of the 2 hour plus movie. The bad guys attack and win the first battle but the good guys regroup and win the war.... Isn't that every episode of the A-Team? Not one time does the movie surprise you with a turn of events outside your expectations. Don't get me started on the cartoonishly tough military leader or the final fight scene where the bad guy tells the good guy what he's about to do. How classic. I'm sure the fanboys will flame the hell out of this as apparently some see this movie as life changing. If this movie changed your life you need to get out more.
Wow... didn't expect this to be so bad. There are some beautiful backgrounds to look at here but that's about the praise this gets from me. Feels like Groening can't really progress as a writer. If maybe the leads had any chemistry then it would have been easier to get into it but as it stands I didn't even chuckle once and the jokes moreso were cringey given that fantasy setting this is supposed to takes place in.
I like Homeland but give it an end already.
i was expecting to love this movie, but meh. kind of silly and over-acted, being shot with a machine gun dropping to the ground waving your legs in the air and then getting right back up sort of stuff. painful to watch at times - this is definitely not something i ever want to sit through again.
Getting really sick of the overly emotional, constantly distressed Carrie Mathison, I know she’s unwell like but for fuck sake woman, go put your feet up and let someone else take over! Come on guys, please kill her off before I have to drop another long running show over pure tedium and frustration..
This is one of the best video game to movie adaptations ever made. Such a campy classic. I love this movie, even if it has some obvious flaws.
New Girl has turned into downright trash after season 4, there were signs that it could pick up here and there but NO! The comedy is just so bland and unfunny that it forces me to pour acid over my eyes every single time.
The characters are so poorly done, they introduce hollow characters the viewers know are not going to last (Robby, Regan), but Elizabeth Meriwether says "what the hell, lets do it anyway".
And don't even get started on Winston, his character is so superfluous, that when the writers decide he can't be paired up with anyone, they give him a goddamn cat and make him effeminate. His "girlfriend" Ally is no where to be seen, she comes up for like one episode and disappears for the rest of the 21 episodes.
One expects character development over the seasons but except for Cece and Schmidt, every other main character has taken a turn for the worse..they've become losers. The one anchor of the show, Coach, has been been whisked away by his "girlfriend(s)" to other states every time he makes an appearance.
South Korean movies are really impressive
Felt way longer than it was but not in a good way. I was pretty disappointed.
The cave art inside Chauvet caves is truly awe-inspiring and watching it in 3D added real gravity to what we are being shown.
However, Herzog is slipping as the documentary itself is mostly tedious. In reaching to build a connection to the world outside the cave he meanders through repetition, at times puts his words in the mouths of those being interviewed. Mostly it sits as filler between moments of wonder, and his final thoughts are fairly muddled.
It art is wholly remarkable, the doco wholly forgetable.
The best movie based on a video game.
The film starts promisingly, looks good, and has an intriguing story. Sadly dodgy acting and terrible dialogue drag the film down.
Love Herzog in general but this may be the most boring of documentaries I've seen...
definitely not my cup of tea, very boring and repetitive, in my opinion - trudged through 16 episodes and never hooked me as a fan
Just dropped the show, two episodes before the finale. The Blacklist used to be enjoyable but now even James Spader's voice can't keep me from sleeping through an episode. Don't watch this, it's an absolute loss of time.
I had a very hard time getting much of a laugh out of any of this. For one thing, being a man, I found this to be way too female-centric. Most everything was about female things to which I just didn’t relate. Then there was all the preachiness about what a woman should do, what she shouldn’t do. Even the way she was dressed bothered me. And another thing, I kind of feel like the whole hashtag whatever joke was played out long before this show came out. At the beginning of the show she did this thing where she hunched over and did this creepy voice which was her impression of the party goblin. I didn't care for it but whatever. But then she did it several other times throughout the show and I'm like no, stop. It's not funny or entertaining; it just makes me feel uncomfortable. I actually paused the show a few times to see how much time was left as I began to feel more and more ready for it to end.
I felt like I was being generous rating this a 6.
I’m sure though that there are plenty of women who found or would find this show hilarious.
Want to see a funny female comedian? Watch Sarah Silverman: A Speck of Dust.
I stopped watching after season 1. As a system engineer I can just sit down a let someone fill me up with bullshit and just sit there as if I don't know any better. Wait how is this show any better than Intelligence, Nikita, 24, almost human, strike back, alias, etc... They are all crap. They keep renovating the same idea over and over. Super hero who always save the day and with some computer's help. When they don't have some super duper computer geek who knows how to do it all they have a machine who does it on its own but of course the actor never get killed because he's god in flesh. They should give the same training the heros get in the shows to our troops. More of them would actually make it home for Christmas. Lol :)
Four seasons and such an high rating? does the show gets better after the first 5 episodes or is it the same pile of boredom?
