Can't believe they're just dropping the old story and only making six episodes and doing a reboot...seems dumb...what was wrong with the last season idk I guess this show might be ending after season three -.-
What an AMAZING season finale!! Woah, that twist in the end caught me by suprise. I think he's 100% alive.
I cannot wait for Season 3.
This episode was great! We got not one unexpected twist but two!
Boomer's alive and the old lady's been hiding him the whole time. I guess being a weasel runs in the family.
And the other lady chopped up and hid away her husband! Mentally stable people wouldn't dismember a loved one, so she was nuts long before Leslie came along.
I love that the counterfeit case is gonna come crumbling down once Leslie turns up alive. That FBI guy needs to be taken down. He plays ridiculously dirty.
Loving this season... Their hijinx & troubles are just delicious.
I'm glad Beth kicked Dean out of the business.
Really sweet scene at the end with Petra and Jane. I love their sisterhood.
What a dull season finale, compared to the last one which had me at the edge of my seat all throughout, this one struggled to even keep me watching past the 20 minute mark.
Truly disappointing.
And finally .... it’s over!
Skipping this episode because I care nothing about any of these characters.
Re-watching this show, and am reminded of how incredible and amazing the pilot was. Absolutely stunning visually, great acting, and an engaging plot like nothing else.
Grace: "Ben, you should have told me about all of this sooner. I would have understood."
Me: Bitch, I tried to tell you at the hospital, but you thought I was crazy.
I couldn't make it through the whole episode. It's not necessarily super bad but it sure as hell was boring. I'm not going to bother continuing this show.
Guess I have a different opinion then other reviewers. I thought this first episode was amazingly good!! Even had to grab some tissues at the family reunion part. Looking forward to seeing how this season plays out and what the explanation for what really happened to this flight 828.
That was a lot better than I went in expecting. This show could turn out to be fantastic if done correctly. I hope it will.
I really hope they add a mid-season villain to replace Cicada. I can't handle 9 more episodes of that goof.
Dude this one was the one that for sure made me go from not looking twice at a guy to like thirsting. Well done to the boys
Whole season, I was expecting that Frank's going to see Beth again but he didn't. I'm kinda disappointed about that.
Rebecca's really evolved and changed for the better. That whole speech about shame spirals was pretty self-aware. It's cool to have a show about mental illness that isn't ultimately depressing.
Nice episode. I‘d love to see Charlotte Cole (played by Bridget Regan) as member of the team!
Last week felt much more like the finale than this one. I was surprised the writer went into trying to explore purgatory and dispel some of the promises christianity gives when this isn't a show about supernatural stuff. It's a show that's normally grounded in wacky suburban family vacations, and this foray into the afterlife felt displaced.
And why would it feel like months if the point is for time to go faster, and why did the reaper say he was dead if he was going to come back to life shortly?
Then the regular characters that work at the diner didn't appear except for that brief cameo where the owner handed the guy keys. Since this is the finale, and I doubt this show has garnered enough viewers for another season, a final send off would have been nice. The writer should have shaved off the ending of episode 9 and put it here.
Mona has been a terrific addition and single-handedly made the B-plot better than the A in this one. (Although Hank fanboying all over Hemingway wasn't bad, either.)
Rule #2 The double tap.
The Purge being portrayed here IS TOO TAME... violence levels here are so PG-13 as well.
Like the prisoners of the 'Carnival of Flesh' don't seem like they're doomed to their deaths, they all seem too calm. PFFFT.
the blurring thing becomes annoying and distracting
I truly dislike jump scares, not because they scare the shit out of me (they do!), but because they're a cop-out, a lazy option overused in today's horror. But - holy shit! - that scene with the sisters arguing with each other in the car... THAT'S how you do a jump scare! Also, nice way to stop a fight. Then, Theo's monologue right after was emotionally intense, I could feel her despair creeping inside me. This show can be slow and boring, at times, but the acting is consistently well above average.
I'm very pleased to say that I really loved this! As much as I enjoyed the premiere, it didn't fully feel like a Doctor Who episode to me. This one, however, absolutely did. I think it captured the essence of the show perfectly.
Something that Chibnall does very skillfully is create an engaging mystery that really draws you in. I was on the edge of my seat for a big part of the episode, waiting to find out what happened to the population of the planet. And what do you know, it looks like the Stenza are going to be a recurring theme this season! I'm curious to see how that will play out. And what - or who - could the timeless child be?
One of the strongest points of this season is the cinematography. Some of the wide shots that we got in this episode looked like they belonged in a Star Wars movie. And the music is excellent as well. It's kind of subtler than what I've gotten used to with Doctor Who, but it's lovely. The new composer is doing a great job.
Another strong point is obviously the acting. While I do think that Jodie, just like every Doctor, will need a few episodes to fully come into her own, I love everything she's given us so far. The quick wit, the quirks, the boundless energy, the enthusiasm and the charm that she brings to the role - it's all exactly right. And I'll be honest, the emotional moments in this episode really got me. Her face when she saw the hologram of the Ghost Monument and realized it was the TARDIS! And the reunion was so soft and gentle and wonderful! I actually cried happy tears when she said "You've done yourself up! Very nice". I adore Thirteen. And the companions are growing on me too. I like the interactions between the three of them and the Doctor. I can't wait to see these individual dynamics develop over the course of the season.
The opening credits are awesome. I've never seen the classic series, but the theme has a very retro vibe to it and I like the color scheme. It looks like a kaleidoscope. I dig it.
And finally, the TARDIS! She's redecorated all right! The interior looks more organic, kind of like Nine's and Ten's were. I liked the sleek, mechanical designs of the Moffat era, but this one is so appropriately alien. The biscuit dispenser is a cute little touch, especially considering that they put it there as a gift to Jodie and packed it with her favorite custard creams.
Overall, I thought this was a really great episode. Now that we have the TARDIS back, I'm excited to see what adventures await us.
The time jump felt very... sudden. Eight months of Rebecca and Nathaniel having sex, without any visible progress from Dr. Akopian’s therapy sessions seemed a little empty.
Also, what a smart reprise! I love this selfaware-Rebecca, although it kills me to see her in a different vulnerable place than where she usually stands on.
events are moving extra slow... feels like there's no story to tell.

You're a host, you're a host, you're a host, we're in this timeline, now we're in this timeline, go fuck yourself - westworld 2018
They did a great job of wrapping things up and setting up a small tease for a season three that probably won't happen anywhere. But at least Ezra ended up with Sofia and her eyebrows. Probably
what a weakass episode. i expected so much more.
this show was my fave in s1 but now it's like.... some eps are good but most are rushed and badly written.
kudos to actors for being awesome but the writers need to step up their goddamn game like in season 1 which was lit
the Kara/Alura reunion was so underwhelming when it should have been much more emotional and not rushed
